[Album + Video] Moreish Idols kündigen Debütalbum "All In The Game" an!

Moreish Idols aus dem Süden Englands kündigen ihr Debütalbum "All In The Game" an, das am 7. März auf Speedy Wunderground erscheint. Veröffentlicht sind bereits die Singles "Pale Blue Dot" und "Slouch". Mit der Ankündigung veröffentlicht die Band mit "Dream Pixel" auch einen weiteren Song aus dem Album.

Während die Debüt-EP "Float" aus 2022 einen rastlosen Sound zeigte, der von energiegeladenem Post-Punk beeinflusst war, zeigte die zweite EP "Lock Eyes And Collide" (2023) mit unruhigen Tremolo-Gitarren und wilden Saxophon-Improvisationen eine ganz andere Seite der Band.

"All In The Game" befasst sich mit der Frage, wie wir unsere begrenzte Zeit auf der Erde verstehen: “Time being spent, time being wasted, time getting away from you”, erklärt Bassist Caspar Swindells, “but being able to realise that time is what you make of it.” Das Debütalbum ist voll von Dan Careys exzentrischen Produktionsideen, die größtenteils durch das Konzept der Zeit inspiriert sind. Trotz der bohrenden Fragen über die menschliche Zerbrechlichkeit sind die Schlussfolgerungen, zu denen die Songs über das Leben gelangen, jedoch hoffnungsvoll und bejahend.

"Dream Pixel" kombiniert vielschichtigen Gesang mit einer psychedelischen Instrumentierung, die sich um gebrochene Beat-Rhythmen windet. „Inspired by the experience of swimming in phosphorescence in Cornwall, ‘Dream Pixel’ celebrates the moments in life that could easily be mistaken for a dream, glitch or trip.”

reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.

Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.

What would you guys consider the worst movie you've ever seen? Not something that's fun to make fun of, nothing you ironically enjoyed, I mean just an absolutely miserable moviegoing experience that you paid for, hated every second, and wish you had walked out of and asked for a refund.

For me, no joke, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. It did not even feel like a real movie to me. It made me see red! I was SEETHING with anger and annoyance throughout the entire thing, and I cannot for the life of me articulate why. I saw it once in 2012 when I was 15, I remember almost nothing about it now, but it struck a nerve with me like no other movie ever has before or since.
