Chapter 27 : I have to know

- How are you feeling ?

Opening my eyelids, I fell on the floral patterns that adorned Nevra's outfit. How long had he been hugging me like this ? Slowly, my fingers finally let go of his battered collar.

- It seems to have passed.

I was dumbfounded when, with his cold fingers, he pushed back a strand of my face stuck by my tears.

When her warm colored arms reached out to me, I didn't hesitate to snuggle up against her.

This woman had this power to appease you in an instant.

Detaching myself from her, I in turn offered her a sincere smile.

I'm bewitched by everything about it!

(this post is very long so everything is below !)

The composition is absolutely PERFECT; in fact, it is so perfect that even if I didn't set it the way you pictured it on my own Ipad: since I only use my Ipad in the vertical way, I decided to settle the left part with Marisa, Alice and Shanghai as the unlock screen, and then settle Hajime, Chiaki and Nagito as the regular screen wallpaper. I'm sorry for breaking the crossover feeling of the overall drawing (even though the colored stars and the background still link them all!) though, I hope that you will forgive me! 😭💕 I couldn't show it to you because I haven't organized it like that yet, but the app's logos with be displayed around the characters and not over them, so that they don't get covered by it. I want to be able to admire them as much as I want without all the apps in my way!😄 Here are pictures of how I settled it. Maybe one day I'll change it to get all of them on the same picture, but for now, I really feel like this current option is super pretty and very convenient for my use:

I'm also absolutely STUNNED by how great this composition works like this, and by how magnificent the drawing looks: the light variations in the sky make the snowflakes look like the stars in the Milky Way galaxy (it kinda reminds me of the setting of Touhou 7's battle between the two girls, that I really liked and added to the manga that I made some time ago, haha!) and the foreground branches are just SUCH a good idea (I absolutely LOVE when pictures have features like this, because it's just so, so smart and well-thought 😭🫶)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by the way, the small entrance of the shrine that we can see in the distance is also absolutely ADORABLE! And in the way I settled the wallpaper, it can be seen on Marisa and Alice's part, which is also really great! 🥹✨

And of, course, I'm in love with those perfectly-made characters 🥹🫶🌟! Their faces, postures, interactions and expressions are just perfectly drawn and well-thought for every one of them (even if I already know that you're the best at this kind of stuff, it's always extremely pleasant and impressive to admire these sort of details in your drawnigs!). Nagito and Hajime's attitudes are so funny next to each other, in a similar way that makes Marisa and Alice so cute together (you can almost hear what they must be saying from here, because their attitudes are so perfect!!) and Chiaki is just the best and most adorable character of all eternity, as always 😭😭😭💕

The way in which the light of the colored stars interact with their bodies is also brilliant, like the one bringing light to the inside of Nagito's coat for example, or the one lighting Hajime's vest in this particular way or the one that illuminates Chiaki's face, making her forget her game for an instant! 💕💕💕 It was a brilliant idea to link all the characters together, and the detail of Shanghai looking at the stars behind them while clinging onto Marisa's broom reinforces this feeling in a very subtle way! I'm just so, so impressed by how many wonderful ideas there are in this picture in every part of it. 🥰🥰🥰

By the way, I'm also in love with the INCREDIBLE work you made on their hair: the way they all get in the wind, and the way small strands of hair get slightly separated from the other hair (like in the back of Marisa's head, or in the top and the sides of Alice's for example) : the feeling it brings is just majestic! 😳 I also wanted to add that all the folds and other details of their clothes are also absolutely stunning: I can't take my eyes off Marisa's stunning magician outfit, the way that Alice's dress folds to her feet, or the way their scarves all twist in the wind in such a delicate way 😭😭😭🥹💕💕💕💕💕 Also, Hajime, Chiaki and Nagito's outfits look kinda familiar to me, so I believe that I already saw them somewhere, and Alice's outfit is quite familiar (yet extremely pretty, with these wonderful boots and and the adorable details of her ribbons and everything!!) but Marisa's outfit looks much more like a magician's outfit than what I'm used of seeing, and it just fits her SO WELL!😳💕💕💕 This look is just insanely pretty on her, and since she wears those violet details in her fit, I wonder if Alice borrowed the scarfs she's wearing from her because she didn't want to get a cold. >v< ✨

Having such a wonderful present is extremely touching for me, and even if I wrote all this, I feel like it's hard to come up with a response that levels with the happiness I felt when I saw your post yesterday! 😭💕 I never thought that I would be gifted a wallpaper this pretty! I wonder if I should make another one for you now, because the picture I made probably isn't as convenient for you as yours is for me, and it's definitely not as detailed either! x') Discussing on Tumblr and sharing pictures and stories here with you brings so much joy to me and makes me enjoy so much more my time playing and thinking about Danganronpa's and Touhou's games and fictions, that I look at these stuff with a different eye now, and it turns all the curiosity and interest I have for these things into the motivation to do stuff myself and share about it with you and others, because it gives a lot of meaning to everything 🫶🌟✨

As I mentioned before, I’ve been working on some art for the winter holidays for a while now. What exactly was I doing that made me set aside your wonderful storyboard? Well, I was secretly working on an illustration as a gift for you! haha (^▽^)

Do you remember when I said I wanted to use your drawing as my iPad wallpaper? At the time, you said you’d use one of my drawings as your wallpaper, but I held off because I wanted to create a “proper” picture for it. And now, I’ve finally completed that “proper picture”!

To prove that this illustration was designed with an iPad wallpaper in mind, here’s a photo of how it looks on my own iPad:

The following is further supplemental information:

I’ll email you a version of the image without the watermark and the “Happy Holidays” text later, so you can use it as a wallpaper. I am going to make the wallpaper image available only to you, but later I will post separate images of Marisa and Alice, Nagito, Hajime, and Chiaki without watermark, so please forgive me for that.

I had always thought that if I were to create a picture for your wallpaper, it would have to feature Marisa and Alice. But for the longest time, I couldn’t settle on a specific composition. However, while we were talking about the Touhou/Danganronpa crossover story, the idea for this composition came to mind. I realized it would be perfect for the winter holidays, so I paused everything else I was working on and prioritized this project.

I used to hesitate to draw crossovers between completely different works, but after our conversations, I started to feel more comfortable experimenting with new ideas. I can say with confidence that I never would have come up with this composition if I hadn’t connected with you. It was such a joy to paint this piece filled with all my favorite characters! Interacting with you has brought such a significant change to my creative process—it truly feels like a turning point in my life.
