Chapter 22 of LMTLY is such a wonderful chapter again and it was far away from being boring 🥹.

Lolo and sweet buttons are adorable together. I love how y/n tries to get Loki out of his horrible thoughts and feelings and how she tries to convince him that he deserves to feel loved...and that those feelings of lust and desire are nothing that has to be punished by physical pain. But it's still a long way to go for him.

I loved to see in chapter 21 that he had already made the next step towards the right direction: he had satisfying sex and didn't ask y/n to hurt him, he didn't even think about it at that moment 😊

The story she told Steve...

"...you couldn't throw your Lolo under the bus like that, it just didn't feel right. He was your guardian angel, he'd never hurt you..."

She lies for and with him, I'm sure they'd die for each other, sweet buttons and Lolo together forever against the rest of the world... and of course, she wasn't able to tell Steve the lie that Lolo hit her and caused the bruise... I couldn't have done it either. It's so adorable 🥹

"...while he dressed to kill today, all black attire ...made him look devastatingly handsome, you just wanted to lick him up from head to toe"

😋😏 girrllll, this line made me giddy 😄. I really like his love language of 'lesser words more action' and "boy if you didn't like the action he gave you " and of course, I love the tension between them and their jealousy but him taking a step back again and being mean to y/n again hurts. It's definitely not easy for him, his psychological wounds are deep but he definitely doesn't want to hurt her. He just can't get out of his skin, not yet.

Y/n can stand it, she says what she thinks of him and his behaviour, she's a tough girl! And he apologized and I can imagine how confusing it is for him, all those feelings are new for him.

"You deserve to feel good Lolo" " It suffocates me you know, I keep hearing his voice in my head"

" What can I do to shut them out? I can't hurt you and don't want you to get hurt by anyone either, I want you to feel good and loved, want you to feel taken care of " ... what was he supposed to say? It felt nearly impossible for him to get rid of the need he felt to get himself in excruciating pain...he understood why you didn't want to hurt him like that, he wouldn't want to hurt you that way either but he didn't know how to cure this disease that he had.

They truly love each other and I'm so glad that they're communicating with each other and that they both try to do their best!

Can we please talk about the sweet jealousy, that adorable fight for "dominance" (I think it's maybe not the right word here) and how Loki let her grant!

...you lowered him down on the bed slowly...The position felt threatening to him. He only ever allowed Jolene to be on top once...he flipped you underneath him quickly before you could even finish your sentence...

I really love y/n for the way she tries to show him how good it feels to be tender to each other and to cuddle each other and that there's nothing wrong with it.

"How does this feel?" " It's stupid " "...And this?" "Still stupid "...but his voice trembled.

...and you flipped him around slowly....his fingers clutched into your hair but he didn't pull on it...

"How does this feel? " " Disgusting " ... you pressed his arms up over his head and linked your fingers with his..."Are you disgusted by me, Lolo?" " Noo...just this feeling of whatever you're trying to do to me."

Small gestures with great meaning. And what a growth for Loki. She has already some kind of power over him, in a good way... and he let her do it to him. It's so good to see.

Y/n is absolutely aware of what Loki never had in his life: a loving mum (and dad) and a wife, everybody let him down, and nobody was there for him (and his brother too), that's so very sad 😔😭😭. But now he has sweet buttons. She loves him and she's stubborn, in a good way.

"Love is so pure, love is the only thing that has brought us back together all these years." "How could this be wrong Loki? Tell me does it feel wrong when I touch you like this?"

Intimacy, romance and closeness are still difficult for him and it won't change overnight. But I'm sure deep inside of him he wants to change it into something good for himself so that one day he can enjoy it without feeling guilty or bad.

Persistent little girl, he was kind of enamoured by your willingness to break him down tonight.

The whole last part of this chapter after this line has me in a chokehold (like this whole wonderful story) and I had tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my skin. To be honest I don't have the words to describe what I felt when I read this part.

" I don't want anything but you darling,...I'm okay with whatever you're giving me, ...it's more than I've ever gotten. "

"And you'd allow me to love you the way you love me?" You asked him so he hid his face between your breasts and his arm wrapped around your waist.

I don't think that he's a submissive guy (or not yet, who knows....oh...you know 😉😅) but it might be a part of the cure he needs to heal...to have his girl where he can be weak without being judged and where he can let his walls down, feeling save and loved, allowed to cry while loving arms are holding him close. And y/n is the only one who will always understand how and what he feels even though she's a constant reminder of the past ...but she knows what he had to suffer.

You didn't need an answer after that. It was enough. For now.

Crying and sobbing. This is so wonderful, it's so good that they have each other.

I'm still hooked and so in love with them and this story.

Psychological wounds are almost impossible to heal sometimes especially when that was all he got for as long as he could remember. He never had anything good that had stuck to him for more than a few moments, that's also one of the reasons why he resorted to manipulative shit since he got back together with her, he never wanted her to leave and he was doing everything he could to keep her hooked.

This sweet buttons is exactly what he needs in life, someone who'd be willing to stay by his side, accept him with all the flaws and the monstrosity that he thinks he carries, he needs her and she needs him, they are each other's ride and die and that's beautiful. I think they have the strongest understanding amongst each other and no matter what happens they'd pick each other. I can safely say there won't be a time in this series where we will see them seperating because of a misunderstanding or the cliche angsty tropes.

He's definitely not a submissive guy, the line that he heard in his head from Odin will come again, there's a reason why he hates being submissive or being under a woman, Odin left no stones unturned to destroy him and that obviously has some lasting effects on him. However all he needs is someone like her to change that thought process, he needs to learn that he can be soft and being soft doesn't necessarily mean being weak. Just allowing her to do what she wanted in that moment was indeed the first step he had to take and he did :)
