here is a little snippet from the finale of alkaline!

i am about 2.8k in the chapter, and nowhere near finished. so, i figured i would give y'all a little preview before i post it!

“you should have seen the way i was tearing at the car,” alex remarks, putting his hands behind his head, “i felt like goddamn superman.”

“he sure was,” lily lets out an airy giggle, “speaking of which, where is your–”

“guten abend,” an oh so familiar voice interrupts, thick with the accent you adored so dearly. 

your head swivels towards the entrance of the room, toto standing in the doorframe. in his hands is a bouquet of flowers, a bag slung over his shoulder. the moment your eyes meet, he softens, his lower lip quivering. 

“and he brought a friend!” lewis chirps, poking his head out from behind the team principal, “how are you feeling?”

“tired,” you blink, face scrunching into yet another yawn, “they gave me some muscle relaxers for my soreness.”

toto crosses over to the bed, pulling up a chair. placing the flowers on the nearest table, he sets his bag on the floor. although the actions were simple, it felt like minutes until two hands found yours, bringing it to his lips. 

“ich hoffe es geht dir gut. die blumen sind nicht die besten, aber sie reichen aus.”

“mir geht es nicht so gut,” waves of drowsiness crash over, your head meeting the pillow as toto chuckles, kissing each one of your knuckles. 

“zumindest hast du medikamente und gute freunde.”

“ich liebe dich,” you whisper, tears welling up as he leans over the bedrail, pressing a light kiss to your forehead. 

brushing a strand of hair behind your ear, you swear you can see the hint of a sparkle in his gaze as he gives you one last kiss on your temple, trailing down to your cheek, “und ich liebe dich.”

also toto wolff in the same breath: *staring in awe at golden girl as she stands on the podium, in utter disbelief of how someone can be so breathtaking after driving at that intensity*

golden girl reading the comments on her recent instagram live (after monaco): “do i do jumping jacks on the d? 🤨”

i do plan on tying up many loose ends that are still present in alkaline within the final chapter!

ones such as:

what happened to natila? where is she?

where are gg's parents? how are they doing?

how poor maxie boy is handling the news that his fav driver has a bf.. a much older bf

what did dts ultimately end up doing with that footage of toto x gg? did they really end up deleting it?

did lewis eventually get any repercussions for paying natila?

and well.. the other elephant in the room...

i'm just imagining how toto's stress levels would decrease by like 1000% the second gg signs that contract with merc

currently thinking about gg taking toto out for nighttime cruises down the interstate whenever they're visiting the states

she just blares all of the essential 80s, 90s, and early 2000s hits that go perfectly with the vibe

toto just loves being in her passenger seat as she shifts the gears, the lights of whichever city they're in softly glowing in the background. she points out all the neat history or facts of wherever they're at and he just eats it up

he really couldn't be any more in love with her

sobbing at the thought of toto carrying nail glue around in his pocket in case one falls off or if she needs to reapply a new one

thinking about gg and toto participating in the “out of my league” trend—

my (personal) roman empires:

alex and gg's friendship - i could yap about their bond for hours i literally love both of them so fucking much it is going to pain me when gg breaks it to him that she is planning on moving to merc

george, lewis, & gg's friendship - they are quite literally the best trio to ever exist and i could also yap about them for hours

lily and gg's friendship - i love them both, your honor

toto literally loosing his damn mind for a year before approaching gg in bahrain - i know i've wrote about this and alkaline is almost to 55k but--

george & gg's friendship arc - you guys have no idea how much i love these two and their friendship. i want to put them in my pocket. i could write pages on pages about them. their chemistry on the grid is absolutely insane and i-
