उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने प्रदेश के सभी जिलों में गजेटियर बनाने की घोषणा कर दी है–, जिसमें अलीगढ़ जिले का नाम भी शामिल है, आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दें, कि अलीगढ़ में पहले भी गजेटियर तैयार किया जा चुका हैं, जिसको बने 100 वर्षों से भी अधिक हो चुका है। 100 वर्ष पहले यह ब्रिटिश शासन काल में बन��या गया था।

क्या आप जानते हैं कि, अलीगढ़ को पहले कोल के नाम से जाना जाता था। अलीगढ़ जिले में कोल नाम का किला भी बना हुआ है। इसके अलावा 7 गेट भी हैं, जहां से हम अक्सर अपना वाहन लेके गुजर जाते हैं लेकिन कभी इस पर इतना ध्यान नहीं देते की यह गेट कितने सालों से यहां स्थित हैं और अलीगढ़ जिले की एक खास पहचान हुए हैं

तालों की नगरी अलीगढ़ को कोल नाम से लोग जानते थे

आज जिस जिले को हम अलीगढ़ जिले व तालों की नगरी के नाम से जानते हैं, एक समय था जब इसको कोल कहा जाता था। और कोल के नाम का किला आज भी अलीगढ़ में स्थित हैं। अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम यूनिवर्सिटी के प्रोफेसर एमके पुंडीर से बात करने से पता चला कि, इस जिले को 13 वीं शताब्दी में बने इस किले को बलवान ने जीत लिया था, उसके बाद 16 वीं व 17 वीं शताब्दी में इस किले का विस्तार काफी होता चला गया। इस किले को ब्रिटिश शासन काल में अंग्रेजों द्वारा दुबारा से 1804 में बनवाया गया था। इस कोल के लिए सात गेट भी थे जो पूरे कोल की पहचान थे। इन सात गेटों के नाम आज भी अलीगढ़ जिले में सटीक पता बताने के लिए प्रयोग में लाए जातें हैं। यह सात गेट पूरे अलीगढ़ को कवर करते हैं इन सात गेटों में ही पूरा अलीगढ़ शहर घिरा हुआ है।

AMU प्रोफेसर एमके पुंडीर ने बताया कि, इस कोल गेट के बनने से कोल का इतना विस्तार होने लगा की एक-एक करके यहां 7 गेटों का निर्माण हुआ जो आज भी अलीगढ़ जिले की एक खास पहचान बने हुए हैं। हम सभी उन गेट को बखूबी जानते हैं और अक्सर वहां से गुजरते हैं, सही पता बताने के लिए भी इन गेट के नामों का प्रयोग हम करते हैं। लेकिन इनका इतिहास कितना पुराना हैं यह हमको नहीं पता। इन सात गेटों के नाम कुछ इस प्रकार हैं तुर्कमान गेट, दिल्ली गेट, साबित गढ़ गेट, अतरौली गेट, मदार गेट, हाथरस गेट व सासनी गेट आदि। इन गेटों का निर्माण कोल जिले की आंतरिक सुरक्षा के लिए इन गेटों का निर्माण हुआ था इन गेटों के बंद होते ही पूरा कोल बाहरी आक्रमण से सुरक्षित हो जाता था हर गेट 3पर बाहर से होने वाले आयात-निर्यात के लिए कोतवाल लोग रहते थे जिनके आदेश से ही किसी को भी बाहर से अंदर जानें की अनुमति दी जाती थी।

What is the process of counselling for the NEET PG?

The NEET PG is a common entrance exam for medical post-graduation admission in India. The admission counselling is conducted for MD/ MS/ DNB courses for around 65,000 seats in different clinical, para-clinical and non-clinical seats after MBBS. Every year around 1.6 - 1.7 lakh (160k - 170k) MBBS graduates appear for the NEET PG examination. The exam is soon going to be replaced with the NExT examination from 2024 onwards (as per the recent announcement by the National Medical Commission).

The NEET PG admission counselling is conducted by two types of government agencies: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and State Medical Counselling Authority (as defined by the respected state government).

What is Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)?

The MCC is a central government agency which conducts medical pg admissions on MD/ MS/ DNB seats across India. The students need to register online through its official website, www.mcc.nic.in. The MCC is governed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.
