Its been a few days since your run in with the guy from the market. You wondered who he was? Where did he stay? Was he new in town? You couldn’t get him out of your head.

“I wonder if I’ll see him again?”

You made your way to the market again. Today town was more peaceful than what it usually was during the week. You made your way inside and grabbed a cart. You grabbed your things, and began to head to the checkout line when you accidentally bumped into someone.

“Oh my god I’m sorry I-“

“So we meet again. Hi!”

Your heart raced as you looked up, and saw who was standing in front of you. It was him.

“Oh h-hi! I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be it’s ok. No harm done. Oh I didn’t catch your name.”

“I-it’s y/n.”

“I’m Subin. Nice to meet you!”

As he reached his hand to you, you found yourself staring again. You were so caught up staring that you didn’t even notice he had his hand out. Now you felt a little embarrassed.

“O-oh I’m sorry. It’s nice to meet you as well.”

You reached your hand out and shook his hand. You were surprised at how soft they were.

“I’m so sorry about the other day I was in a rush.”

“Don’t be sorry. It happens. Are you from the area?”

“Y-yes. How about yourself?”

“I’m new in town. I just moved in a few weeks ago. I’m just trying to find my way around, but I do really enjoy coming to the market.”

You listened, and continued talking for a few more minutes. You both walked up and down the aisle of the market grabbing what you needed. The more he talked, the more you grew interested in him. You could tell he felt the same way. You both eventually made your way to the check out line and started to pay for your items. After paying, you made your way out the door.

“He’s really nice. It’s been awhile since I’ve talked with anyone.”

“Hey wait!”

You were stopped by Subin as you walked out the store.

“Oh h-hi again.”

“I wanted to ask if I could your number?”

“My number?”

You were surprised he asked you for your number. You hadn’t given out your number, let alone talked to anyone since your last relationship. You wanted to say no at first, but how could you say no to him? He was interested in wanting to know more about you, and so were you.

“Sure. Hand me your phone.”

As you put your number in, you saw him smile at you. You smiled as you handed his phone back to him.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you. I’ll text you later on if that’s ok?”

“Of course. I gave you my number. Make good use of it.”

“I will. Thank you again. Maybe I’ll see you again.”

You nodded in agreement with what he said. He smiled back at you one final time, and then walked off down the street. As he walked off you couldn’t help but stare. He was handsome. Not only that he was a gentleman. You smiled, and walked away in the opposite direction up the street.

“Subin. Hopefully we will meet again.”

You finally made it home. Exhausted from your day, you decided to take a shower, and relax. You waited for your phone to light up. You hoped it was a text from Subin. You couldn’t stop thinking him. You had only seen him two times but you wanted to see him again. Your thoughts were interrupted when your phone rang. It was a number you weren’t familiar with, but you answered anyways.

“Hello?”

“Hi y/n! It’s Subin!”

Han? What’s he doing here?

You couldn’t make this up even if you wanted to. You just bumped into your ex by accident on the way to the restroom. You wondered if he saw you. More importantly you wondered how you would get back to Subin without being caught. You peeked your head back out the door just to see if he was still there. You observed but you didn’t see him anywhere making you feel a little more comfortable. You made your way back to Subin finally.

“Welcome back! The server came by. I didn’t know what you wanted to drink so I got us some mimosas.”

“Thank you so much.”

As you both sat and ate breakfast, your mind drifted back to Seungwoo. Why did he have to be here? You wondered if he even saw you or Subin? Would you be confronted?

“You ok? You seem a little spaced out.”

“Hmm? Oh yes I’m ok.”

He smiled once you reassured that you were ok. After breakfast, Subin drove you back home.

“Did you enjoy your morning?”

“Yes. It was fun! I wouldn’t mind doing it again.”

“I’m glad. Well I guess I’ll be on my way. I’ll call you later?”

You nodded your head in agreement, and saw him off. You smiled and waved as he drove off. As the day went you thought about Subin. You really enjoyed your day with him. He was a perfect gentleman. Everything about him was amazing. You wanted to see him again. You spent the rest of your day watching tv hoping that he would call you, but you didn’t get anything.

8:00 pm hit when there was a knock at your day. You wondered who could it be? Maybe it was Subin, but he wouldn’t show up unannounced. When you opened the door, it was the last person you expected it to be. It was Seungwoo.

“You have got to be kidding me. What are you doing here?”

“Hi y/n.”

Hi was the last thing you wanted to hear from him. You haven’t heard or seen from until today and hi was the first thing out of his mouth. You had questions that you wanted answers to but the most important question in this was why was he here?

“What do you want?”

“Can I come in?”

Why would you wanna do that? What was there to gain from letting him in? You wanted to slam the door in his face just for the fun of it. You were hesitant at first, but you finally let him in. You regretted letting him in afterwards. He admired your home like it was the first he had been there, but all you wanted was for him to go.

“What do you want Han? Shouldn’t you be with your girlfriend?”

As you said he cut you a look that made your heart skip a beat.

“Oh right. We aren’t talking right now.”

“So why are you here?”

As you said that, he slowly walked in closer and put his arms on your shoulders. Before when he would do this it would be comforting, but now it made you feel the opposite of that. He was too close. What could he possibly want?

“I want you back y/n.”

Those words alone made you freeze in place. He wanted you back? It made you think back to the times where you were happy to be with him. Back then you would’ve said yes in a heartbeat, but now that was all replaced with hate and anger. He broke up with you to be with someone else and now he wanted you back? You almost wanted scream.

“You can’t be serious.”

You could tell he was sure when he looked at you prompting you to move his hands.

“You need to go Han. Now.”

“I saw you earlier today.”

You stopped right before the door as he said that. What else did he see? Did he see Subin?

“Please just go now Han.”

“I still love you. Why can’t you see that y/n? I know I hurt you but I promise I’ll do right this time.”

His mouth said one thing but his face told you an entirely different story. It felt like he didn’t even mean what he was saying. The person that you fell in love with 3 years ago was gone and replaced with this.

“Go please.”

He nodded at you as he walked out the door. As you closed the door you were suddenly flooded with emotions. You couldn’t hold back the tears that were streaming down your face. You had so much bottled up from over the years. All you wanted to do was forget that you ever met him. You spent the rest of your nightclosed up in your room wishing you could put today all behind you. You were about to doze off when you heard a knock at the door. Who could it be this time and what could they want at this hour? You opened the door to see it was Subin.

“Subin? What are you doing out this late?”

“ I felt like something was wrong. I had to be sure you were ok.”

You couldn’t lie and say you were fine. Instead you just gave him a hug. He rubbed your back as you cried in his arms. He gave you a sense of comfort that you needed pretty much all day.

“Will you stay with me?”

“Yeah of course.”

“Thank you…”

He then picked you up and carried you off to your bedroom. You felt like a little child in his arms. He spent hours comforting you as he laid in bed with you. You could tell he was the type of guy that didn’t ask directly what was wrong, but instead reassured you that everything would be ok. As time went by you eventually began to feel better. He did everything he could to keep you happy, and surprisingly it worked. You both stayed up watching movies until almost sunrise when you dozed off laying in his arms.

“Thank you Subin… I…”

Before you could finish you fell asleep due to being tired. You felt his arm wrap around you as he pulled closer to him.

“Sleep tight beautiful.”

As he said that, he reached his head over and gave you a soft kiss on the cheeks as he fell asleep right next to you.
