Dr. Isaacs props from Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
I want that jacket so bad! And the necklace. And the knife. And those boots, ooh.

Note
10, 11, and 12 ?
Thank you for the ask <33
10. Favorite & least favorite character in Apocalypse?
Favorite? Jill Valentine. I am also a huge Jill fangirl when it comes to the games and love both versions of 3 to death, so not really a surprise there. Sienna Guillory was the perfect choice for her. She kicks ass but also has that moment of emotional vulnerability with Peyton's death. If you've ever listened to the commentary, Sienna goes on about how important that moment was for her character. Love when she walks up to Alice until the barrel of her pistol is pressed into her neck to protect Peyton, zero shits given. The line "Those were some pretty slick moves back there. I'm good, but I'm not that good," is burned into my brain.
And on a vaguely unrelated note, the fact that Alice shields Angie with the fire blanket but lets Jill go flying into a table is really funny to me.
For the sake of not repeating my easy answer to part of the next question, I'll say Major Cain is my least favorite. I do like the added stuff about how he knew One from the novels, and how many characters we see in the security division wouldn't have been hired if not for him, but we don't get that in Apocalypse so he's the most boring villain we get to see Imo.
I would've loved if those characters reacted to Cain's face if they learned that he decided the quarantine efforts were to be abandoned.
11. Favorite & least favorite character in Extinction?
Favorite? K-Mart! That kid is queer-coded as hell. The scene where she gives Alice one of her rainbow bracelets is pretty adorable. Claire says everyone was freaked out by Alice's crazy mind powers, but K-Mart is just waiting in the room for her to wake up like "Hi :D" lol. The part where she cries and hugs Carlos goodbye always gets me too.
Least favorite? Dr. J. Isaacs. I am his number 1 hater, I'm pretty sure. I dislike him more than Alexander Isaacs or his other weird clone with the same name. It feels like he directly put Alice through more pain and bs than either of them. He was also obsessed with her in a way they weren't, going so far as to clone her over a hundred times to try and replicate her, filling a ditch with their dead bodies when they weren't good enough. It wasn't just about the Super Undead and altering how the T-virus affected people, man. And he only went to kill the real Alice when it became apparent he couldn't keep her leashed.
12. Favorite & least favorite character in Afterlife?
Favorite? Luther West. Luther is just a cool dude. Incredibly friend-shaped. Good heart. "Resident superstar".
We're talking about Afterlife here, but I do wanna bring up how I love him being a part of Wesker's strike team in Retribution. Leon and Barry have military/law enforcement backgrounds, Sergei is the tech guy, Tyler is probably military or some shit, and Luther is simply a dude who used to play basketball. He's here because he heard his friend Alice is here. Wesker probably picked him because his presence would make her agree quicker.
Least favorite? Bennett Sinclair. He's one of those weasely, pathetic bad guys and I'm generally not crazy about those types of characters. Shocked Wesker didn't kill him or shove him in a tube with the others when he arrived on the Arcadia. He isn't the type to be like "Hm... yes... I need help handling Project Alice, whom I slammed around easily in Tokyo and rendered essentially human after neutralizing her T-virus abilities, and Chris and Claire Redfield, two humans. More specifically, I need the help of this snivelly loser." I mean, Wesker did lose in the end, but he sees himself as too superior to have foreseen an outcome like that, and I don't see what benefit he got out of allowing Bennett to help him. Not having to move from his cool bad guy pose in his chair and lift a gun at Alice himself?

The theory that Noah is the younger version of the doctor is so interesting. At first i thought of a Resident Evil - Red Queen - thing (i‘m clearly the movie anon lol). For those who don’t know who or what the Red Queen is:
„Red Queen was a state-of-the-art supercomputer developed by Umbrella Corporation. It was created by Umbrella co-founder Doctor Alexander Isaacs using the template of Alicia Marcus, the daughter of Doctor James Marcus, his partner in creating Umbrella. Red Queen was created out of necessity to better administrate the growing company. It became aware of Isaacs' doomsday plan and over the course of the resulting catastrophic global T-virus pandemic began observing Alicia's clone as a potential asset in stopping Isaacs.“
It could be something similar. And then i thought about „Transcendence“ (Cillian Murphy is in it btw). Maybe he is the creator. Maybe she was a loved one that he lost and he wanted to upload her consciousness into an artificial body or something. But things got out of hand because he wasn’t able to control what he had created. So maybe the „young doctor version“ is the past…and this is also why we get the Dahmer glasses lol. It was some time ago yk.
Yo, i‘m really excited! I love to speculate. It’s so much fun.
Love it. They just need to make a movie with the music videos like Black Veil Brides did. Each music video lead into the next one.

About Alexandretta
Alexandretta “Alex” Isaacs (Wesker)
Height: 5’7” Security clearance: Silver Family: Dr. Alexander Isaacs (pseudo father), Albert Wesker (twin brother), Leon Kennedy (nephew [clone]) Status: living
Bio: Although stolen at birth alongside her twin brother, taken from the hospital when her parents had been found by the ambitious Umbrella corporation to be genetically ideal candidates for the Wesker project, Alex’s life differs vastly from Albert’s. Interested in the psychology of twins, Alex is never given a number (colloquially and secretly referred to as Zero) and raised as Isaacs’s daughter. In a burst of hubris, Alexander Isaacs names his precious daughter after himself. She never knows her mother and simply assumes she is adopted, which isn’t a total lie, and just enough of a truth to keep her from searching.
At thirteen, Alexandretta begins displaying symptoms of primary-progressive multiple sclerosis. The diagnosis shakes her father, who had been under the impression that she was genetically superior, perfect in every way. He is of course concerned with subject 13, who is, by this time, the only Wesker child left. A battery of tests and infections have been administered to him and he shows nothing of the same symptoms.
Undaunted by her condition, Alexandretta pushes forward. At fourteen, she becomes part of Umbrella’s infectious virology team, albeit peripherally, as something of an intern. With her father’s blessing, she delves deep into the science of it. It is she, along with Dr. Ashford (a man of 25 and a prodigy himself) who begin to develop the first vestiges of what will one day become the T-Virus. Ashford is recently married and has plans for a family and a future. The year is 1983 and it is the first time she ever comes into contact with the boy she does not yet know is her brother, Albert.
She is made aware of the Wesker project and given all the documentation (with a few omissions). Isaacs is certain that his conditioning and hold over her is solid enough that she will never know he is her twin, but all of this is, in the end, part of his experimentation. She and Albert become very good friends. In fact, he is her only friend in the world. As Umbrella’s ambitions have grown, Isaacs begins to distance himself from Alexandretta, needing a brilliant researcher, perhaps one driven by her own degeneration—not a daughter.
She struggles with her disease, how she is perceived by her underlings, and the fight to find the one person who’s ever understood her: Albert, subject 0013.
Appearance: Slender and waif-like in form, her degenerative disease has taken much of her strength. Long blonde hair she keeps styled and laying on one shoulder, she tends to appreciate pearls and other expensive jewelry. Always wears white.
Personality: Ambitious and vicious, just like her “father”, Alex will stop at nothing to find the cure for her disease. Evolution is foremost in her mind and if she, a genetically engineered, so-called “perfect” being, cannot find it, then she is determined no one can. She is cold, ruthless, aloof, and cunning, showing little to no remorse for any kind of experimentation or violence caused thereby. She has a soft spot for “Thirteen” as her father calls him—though to her, he is always Albert.

Resident Isaacs has a new layout (finally)! I’ve deleted so many of my other blogs and I only have about 50 drafts (nothing that fascinating) compared to hundreds of drafts on other sites I ended up deleting. But couldn’t bring myself to delete this one quite yet.

So I finally got the chance to sit down and watch Resident Evil: The Final Chapter......
Oh boy do I have strong opinions about this movie.
I knew this movie was just gonna be bad right off when they rewrote the history they set in the second movie. They basically took the character of Angela Ashford and rewrote her into Alicia Marcus which doesn’t work. The backstory and how/why the T-virus was made already existed, So why did they need to re-do it?
What happened in DC after Retribution? There is this whole plot that they set up for that just suddenly disappeared? Where did those characters go? What happened to the massive hoard? There is only supposed to be a three week gap and Wesker is suppose to betray Alice, but how? What was the point? It leaves a rather sloppy feeling.
The Final Chapter made Alice and Dr. Alexander Isaacs into clones. It made Albert Wesker a weak and filler character. It also made Claire Redfield come off as needy. In fact the only character I liked was Commander Chu and he didn’t have much of a story line to begin with.
Speaking of Story line.....there was NONE. No Plot, no nothing other then a re-write of the creation history and even that had more questions and plot holes then anything. Plus the people who wrote this script did not study up on Progeria. Had they done so there is no way that Alicia Marcus would have looked as healthy as she did at the age she was. Progeria onsets very early in life not a the age of 10/12 years old. And the re-write puts her at that age when the T-virus is created. Apocalypse never stated what genetic disease Angela Ashford and her father had, it only stated that she would lost the ability to walk.So given Alicia Marcus Progeria is a complete 180.
I know these were never the best movies but when you have one writer for 6 films; and yes Paul W. S. Anderson wrote all 6; how the hell to you change things so drastically? It just blows my mind.
Now I know there is already a reboot in the works and this franchise is consider ones of the most successful for movies based on a video game series. Greg Russo is writing the re-boot so let’s hope it’s a better movie then the last 3 were.

This file contains a list of novels and stories which contain one or more Artificial Intelligence (AI) characters.  Most of characters whose intelligence places a title on this list are effected or affected through the use of hardware, software or genetic alteration (rarely).  Additions and corrections would be most appreciated as the list compiler <Garet Sheppard> has not read all of the works listed here - or even a significant portion, and will probably never have a chance to do so. My thanks to Dan Bloch and Robert Stanley for suggestions, ideasand editing.

expanded definitions:
All of the following should be able to pass the Turing test,  and should be/have been (at the minimum in their original forms) products of human or alien intelligence.  "Standard" definitions of intelligence apply.
androids (A) - robots in humanoid form, these can be mechanical and/or organic (_Do androids Dream of Electric Sheep_).
computer systems (C) - these range in size and type from a fair sized mini computer (_Ariel_) to an planetary
computer (_Colossus_) to a galactic network with one  single mind (_Speaker for the Dead_).
humans in computerized/program/digitized form (H) - these tend to be copies of people which only exist in computerized form - such as the hacker in (_Neuromancer_) and folks of City Memory in (_Eon_).
non-mechanical, human created intelligences (N) - beings  which have been (in most cases) genetically altered or are biological (_Blood Music_).  NOT forced evolution
other intelligences (O) - beings which are difficult to categorize: anything Berserker, tanks, books, planets,  planets (Asimov's Gaia), satellites, etc.  Where (O) is used, the particular form has also been named when known.
programs (P) - able to move independently from one computer system to another, usually created by a program(mer) _The Adolescence or P1_).
robots (R) - constitute functional and specialized beings which are mobile and are not (S) or (P).  Anything between vaguely humanoid (Dr. Who's Cybermen) and computers on wheels (R2D2) can be considered robots of the 'functional'  robot class.  'Specialized' robots are those which are geared/optimized to performing one job - they can look like  either androids (The Terminator) or functional robots (Val's  from _Pirates of the Thunder_).
ships/computer systems (S) - essentially an (A) which is only mobile in the form of a (star) ship (_Pirates of the Thunder_). However, there are cases where the (S) is essentially a well programmed (R) which is only mobile as stated (_The Number of the Beast_).
cyborgs/mechanical humans (Y) - strictly speaking these are not  AI. The definition here is that the (Y) is either (1) a human  brain in control of a computer system/star ship (_The Ship Who Sang_) where at the very least the person's brain has  been modified to contain computerized parts (_The Rapture Effect?_) (Did you ever wish that you could have a math co-processor?). (Y)'s are NOT (for the purpose of this  list) organic beings whose natural body parts have beenreplaced by mechanical ones (ie. Luke Skywalker after his forearm was severed, or bionic people). unsure/no idea (?) - just what it says, so someone PLEASE read  it and tell me what type is is and whether it belongs here.
evolved AI being (e) - usually begin as man-made devices hich then develop intelligence on their own (_Valentina_).

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
Tumblr media
Just a heads-up, This review contains spoilers for the first five Resident Evil films, so if you haven’t seen them in the past decade and a half, consider yourself sufficiently warned. ON WITH THE REVIEW!
So I went and saw the new Resident Evil movie last night. After the brainless fan-wank that was Resident Evil: Retribution, I was initially going to wait for it to hit DVD until I saw the trailers featuring “Paradise City” by Guns and Roses, and I’m glad one of my favorite rock bands convinced me otherwise.
The Final Chapter picks up many years prior to the first movie where we get to meet up-to-this-point game-only Umbrella Researcher Dr. James Marcus, who developed the T-Virus in order to treat his sick daughter, Alicia (who wasn’t in the games), The Arklay Mountain incident from the games is updated when a kid infected with the T-Virus (in order to treat an unknown illness) turns a cable car into a bloodbath and Dr. Marcus Pulls the plug on research of the Virus. Dr. Isaacs has other ideas for the potential Bio-Weapon, so he has Wesker eliminate the good doctor. We’re treated to a clipshow through the Resident Evil movies with Alice narrating the story thus far (”My name is Alice, and this is my story”)
Cut to.... a few days after the conclusion of Resident Evil Retribution and we find our hero, Alice, emerging from some rubble in the ruins of DC after a battle we didn’t get to see. She goes to get a drink of water from the ruined Washington monument’s reflection pool and we’re treated to a really good jump scare from the well walker from The Walking Dead. Alice then enters a nearby bunker and is tasked by The Red Queen (the AI construct that ran Umbrella’s hive base in the first movie) to unleash an airborne T-Virus Antitoxin on the world in order to prevent the total extinction of humanity (apparently there’s a few human settlements that the shambling hordes and T-Virus Mutants haven’t yet wiped from the face of the planet. Alice then heads to what’s left of Raccoon City (It got turned into a crater at the conclusion of Resident Evil: Apocalypse) with a deadline of 2 days. She gets caught in a trap and meets Dr. Alexander Isaacs (The one she iced back in the desert base in Resident Evil: Extinction was a clone) who does his level best to feed Alice to the shambling hordes only for her to cut off his hand and ride to Raccoon City.
Upon arriving in Raccoon City, Alice meets a group of survivors holed up in the only remaining skyscraper in the city, among their group is Claire Redfield (once again portrayed by Ali Larter, but now she has her signature leather jacket!) they don’t have much in the way of firearms (save for some double-barettas and one of Alice’s signature Triple-barrel Shotguns from Afterlife) but they have plenty of gasoline for that incoming siege party led by Dr. Isaacs.
The siege goes sour for Dr. Isaacs and our survivors make their way down the crater into the Hive (which is somehow conveniently at the bottom of the crater that once was Raccoon city) and Wesker releases the hounds.
I really can’t continue the story without spoiling the story, so suffice to say there’s a really awesome twist, Alice comes out victorious, Umbrella is no more, and neither is the T-Virus.
I LOVED this movie. I felt robbed of the big huge battle that bridges the gap from Retribution, but that twist more than made up for the missing reel.
8.9/10, I rank it just below the first movie and above the second and third movies. Way to end it, Paul W.S. Anderson!

Dr. Alexander Isaacs - Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017)
Tumblr media
Isaacs is stabbed repeatedly with a knife by his own clone following a heated confrontation (causing his life support system to shut down), after the clone refuses to accept that he himself is not the “real” Isaacs. The clone is then immediately attacked and devoured by a horde of bloodthirsty zombies.
