Finally it’s done 😭 with what started out with “oh, haven’t drawn tactical gear in a while. Let’s do that.” To a full on redraw of a mix of two older Damien artworks-

Anyways. It was fun! I learnt quite a bit when drawing this and I think my rendering has slowly gotten better, something I’ve struggled with for a bit. I think it turned out well :)

The lyric comes from the song ‘Rooster’ by Alice in Chains, but I think ‘Would?’ would’ve fit this too ��

We've spent some time ragging on Adler this week (every week). In fact yesterday a few of us were joking about how many of our OCs only tolerate Adler because of Aleks (@alypink).

Occasionally I get the urge to see Adler be nice to her. Because Aleks does deserve it.

Yume was attracted to medicine since she was 8 years old when she went with her mother to houses around the town where she would attend to sick and wounded people at that time as well as hand-to-hand combat which was one of her greatest strengths and her father taught her the use of weapons. Her mother taught her different methods of healing with plants/herbs and knowledge in the area of medicine in general until Yume entered the medical academy. Due to Yume's great career as a doctor over time, she was allowed to join the CIA; her father had contacts with MI6 as well as the CIA so it was not a problem for Yume to join his team being assigned as a combat medic.

Personality: Yume is a very calm person, mostly she is quiet, however she is someone kind, friendly, nice and understanding, she will not hesitate to help others. However, she can be strict and sometimes tends to have a sadistic and cruel side with her opponents.

History during the events of Black Ops 1: During the Vietnam conflict, Yume spent most of the time with Alex Mason, Frank Woods and Joseph Bowman. Being a fundamental piece for the cure of Mason's brainwashing; since, for Yume, his case was unusual in order to find some kind of cure or treatment for the symptoms he presented with the issue of Reznov and his flashbacks that relate the numbers with Jason Hudson. Although during that time Yume continued working on a treatment of which Mason was still practically amnesiac and with the issue of Reznov's whereabouts although in the end Jason mentioned to him that he is dead something that Yume was about to tell him however this generated discussions between both.

History in Cold War:During January 1981 Yume was entrusted with Alex and Frank during missions, she was briefly next to her other companions with Lazar, Sims, Adler, Bell and Helen. However, she had been working on the brainwashing that had occurred with Mason next to Jason Hudson. To which that led her on occasions to be closer to Hudson.

History in Black Ops 2: Yume was working with Frank and Alex in the 80's until, after the events of the kidnapping of Menendez, she decided to leave the CIA since she had decided to go to Mexico with the objective of getting away after what happened. On that journey, she meets Manolo Reyes, a corporal in the Mexican army, Yume decided to work as a hand-to-hand combat instructor who took a liking to him and took him as her apprentice. In 2025 she is 80 years old, sometimes she traveled to visit Frank Woods and David Mason whom Yume knew since he was a baby as well as was a great help for the labor and was present at some moments with him when he was a child.

Profession: Doctor with specialties in military medicine such as internal medicine and general surgery. Likewise, she is a martial arts instructor who has great knowledge in techniques of the variety of disciplines.

Skills: Yume is quite observant, she knows when someone is lying to her or being honest. She can read people with great ease and has good qualities in terms of reflexes.

Defects: Yume tends to have self-destructive behaviors by drinking until the next day even though she knows that it can be harmful to her own health.

Fun Facts:

-Yume loves rabbits, in her childhood she only had two, one called Rin and the other Haru.

-She is a big fan of billiards and alcohol, especially sake although she usually goes with her two friends Mason and Woods.

-Yume's favorite food is Teriyaki and Onigiri with tuna filling.

-She has a preference for Western clothing but she also combines it with formal clothing and jewelry of the same type.

-There were times when Adler he was injured Frank and Mason begged Yume to cure him in exchange for a bottle of sake (she eventually agrees).

I always imagine that Match gets injured a lot due to the daredevil stunts he pulled in game(to the point he was taken out early in Level 4 due to being knocked out from recklessly running into a burning area alone forcing Probie to save his dumb ass again. I imagine the two are almost always paired up after this incident as seen in Levels 5 and 6 just to prevent what happen in Level 4 again) to the point that Probie(I’m using the female version here and I headcannon that these two are very close and depending on how you see it..) always gets worried about him if he wanders off or hasn’t heard from him on the radio in a while. I think they feared that one day that Match will be killed due to said daredevil attitude. I imagine this scene happening after a nearly fatal closed call and he was rushed to the hospital due to the extent of his injuries this time. It could be the hospital or alternatively the firehouse or one of their apartments after Match was given the all clear to be check out of the hospital

Killin’ Time

Haven’t made a render in a hot minute! Got around to adjusting Damien’s model and decided to do a little something 👀 seeing how well my gpu could perform lol (I’m surprised honestly)

Haven’t really done much oc stuff in canon as of late so it’s nice to get back to it. Damo and Gaz have known each other since 2019 and they’ve only grown closer in friendship thanks to Price and Lachlan’s antics over the games-

Troy Marshall - Heavy Hitter II

In one of the reveal trailers, there was a shot of Troy with a baseball bat that stuck in my mind. In part, because in Cold War when they introduced the baseball bat it was part of Woods' Heavy Hitter Bundle. And since Troy is Woods' protegé I thought it would be so cool to show him carrying Woods' old bat from Cold War.

Also, as I've been playing Zombies I've heard Troy make at least one baseball reference. Can you imagine him and Frank going to a Phillies game together?
