Aahhh, biggest apologies for me to reply to your ask this late, my finals have started and I gotta be serious, hope you understand 😓

Vasili understood why Anastasia felt the need to defend Adler, even if the man had never acknowledged the damage he had done to him in the past. It was a bitter truth Vasili had long come to terms with, and it resonated even more deeply in 1986, when she saw the man he had become. An ally of the Pantheon, years after his mysterious disappearance in 1981.

At this point, Vasili wasn’t seeking anyone’s sympathy or friendship; those opportunities had passed him by long ago. If Anastasia chose to hate him, he would accept it. If she discovered that he, too, had played a role in framing Adler as a traitor, he would accept that as well. Vasili had carved out his own path, driven by his own goals, and he was resolute in his purpose. He wouldn’t allow anyone to interfere — not even after losing everything he once held dear.

But I'm not sure what Anastasia would feel about this, I wonder what her reaction would be *sniff* hope that answers your question!

Aleks is an extremely empathic person, putting others before her. She has a calm and cool nature and wont speak too much unless it is required. She is extremely observant and prefers to build her own opinions by experiencing and researching stuff, rather than listening to others. While still not being over her mom’s tragic death and her father’s apparent silence about this tragic event, she still decided to join the CIA, despite not trusting them or their employees at all. 

Due to her past she has attachment issues and dependency on those she holds dear.

While not always serving on the frontlines, she specialized on Psy-Ops (interrogation methods, analyze operational environments, physical targets and target audiences.), intel gathering and encryption/decryption.

After joining the Special Activities Division, people around the CIA accused her of being in her position due to Nepotism, as her father was close friend and colleague to her now boss, Russell Adler. She isn’t bothered by it as she has a calm personality and won't get provoked easily by comments or others actions, as long as it does not harm others. 

She developed a good working relationship with Lawrence Sims and Russell Adler. Not fully trusting either of them, for obvious reasons. Although tasks are mostly assigned by Russell Adler, she doesn't know him at all. She spends most of her time with him but she knows little to nothing about him. Still trying to find what assignments he used to work in, most of his data has disappeared from the CIA’s database, something that she finds pretty suspicious. 

She finds him pretty mysterious, something that she finds amusing and interesting, letting her start to develop another kind of interest towards him, making her being in conflict with herself. The treatment he gives her is the same he gives to any other of his colleagues or subordinates, but he tries to be “nicer” to her sometimes. 

She joined with the purpose of finding out the truth by herself to see what kind of operations the CIA and their operatives are involved in, to see if she either joins them fully or to tell the world the truth about the U.S. and its agencies' real intentions. 

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

She is usually seen with turtleneck shirts and jeans or black pants. She loves tight clothes and mostly uses neutral colors. During summer she likes sun dresses and maxi dresses with nice patterns, and during winter she enjoys large coats, skirts and cozy scarfs. She likes to put on a little makeup, only using some mascara and red lips. Aleks used to always have her hair short, as she thinks she looks better on iher and it's more practical to have, but decided to let it grow in order to look more like her mom, who had the same hairstyle that Aleks does now.

BACKGROUND STORY / BIOGRAPHY

Aleksandra Clarke Rivera was born in 1953 in San Mateo, California, to a Mexican Professor and a U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier. Her parents met when her mother studied abroad in the U.S. to become a political science professor. She was studying at El Paso, Texas, near to the Ft. Bliss base where her father was stationed for the moment. 

They married one year after, and moved to California, where Aleks was born. Soon after she was born her father decided to retire from the military and move with his Family to Mexico City, since his wife was offered a position as a full-time political science professor at the UNAM (Mexico’s largest university). 

In 1968, Aleks dad was contacted by his former colleague Russell Adler to join him on a special operation on Vietnam. Having the need to help his former colleagues, he decided to go with them and the rest of the MACV-SOG team to serve on an operation called “Fracture Jaw”. He left his family three days after New Year’s eve in 1968.

Aleks' dad decided to stay and help more at the MACV-SOG through the year, and have little to no contact with his family. But every time he could, he would send a letter or telegram to them. 

On October 2 1968, while Aleks was in school one of their family friends told her that her father wanted to speak to them as soon as possible, but Aleks headed to school before talking to her dad, making a mental note to call him later during the day. Later that day, the “Tlatelolco Massacre” took place at the University. Most civilians and students were shot to death by Mexican Special Forces. Aleks' mom was killed while trying to defend her students.

After hearing the news, Aleks' dad traveled back to Mexico City to attend his wife's funeral and to take 15 year old Aleks to the U.S. to take care of her as she had no other family to go to in Mexico. Filled with regret of knowing what happened and not being able to help his wife and his daughter, he stepped out of the military again and retired. 

A couple of years later while in High School Alek’s classmates and professors were saying that political oppression and anti-comunist movement were the issues that caused the Tlatelolco Massacre in which her mom was killed. Wanting to know more about the issue to understand more, she contacted survivors and other professors. She found out that most of them agreed that these students and teachers were killed due to being or promoting “communism”, and these soldiers were trained by the CIA to prevent communism in Mexico. Although she started to hate the U.S. government, she decided that she would find the truth on her own and decided to leave town and study Psychology and International Affairs at University. After completing her studies she joined the U.S. Military as an officer. She served two tours, specializing in long-range combat. 

1978

Aleks met Adler for the first time on 1978 during the almost culmination of the “Mexican Dirty War” (1960 - 1980) which was the Mexican theater of the Cold War. Mexican government was backed up by the CIA to prevent communism and establish a conservative government.

Little did she know it was really a CIA backed campaign to target different communist movements in Mexico, assassinations of left-wing sympathizers, that the CIA disguised as drug lords. All of this in order to keep Mexico and other Latin America country communism-free.

Aleks was assigned to Adler’s team and she helped with the capture and logistics of those “drug lords” terminating some of them and capturing the others.

In order to keep the façade, Adler acted casually as if it was any other drug cartel take down operation, trying to keep the real situation as hidden as possible for Aleks, but deep down he wanted to loosen up a little bit for once and enjoy the free time they had in Mexico. They developed a cordial relationship after that. Aleks accepted that operation and others without fully knowing this was the same war in which her mother died back on 1968, which Adler also hide from her.

1980

In 1980, after completing her tours, she was selected to join the Special Activities Division as a Psychological Operations Specialist. She was assigned to other operations through Latin America.

1981 (Cold War)

In 1981, Aleks returned with Russell Adler's team on the Safe house on East Berlin, where she was introduced to a new team member with the code name "Bell". After the incidents of Cold War she stepped out the agency to focus on her personal life and family, for a couple of years.

1986 (Black Ops 2)

She sporadically helped the CIA through missions in Latin America. She advised the CIA about a Nicaraguan Cartel "Menendez Cartel" who had a reputation and a lot on influence throughout the underworld. Aleks was there as point of contact along with Jason Hudson when Manuel Noriega offered the CIA help to give away Menendez's cartel plantation location. After they confirmed Raul Menendez was KIA, she stepped out the CIA again to fully focus on raising her family. She thought she was doing the "right thing", but deep down she understood Menendez' hatred and desperation towards the agency and the USA, as she always had suspicions herdelf about the agency regarding the events on Mexico during 1968.

She would probably wear pants and jackets and she also likes 80s fashion dresses.His favorite colors are mostly dark and gray, he rarely uses flashy colors. Anyway, some striking colors would be: red, purple, melon and green, they are the only colors that would be worn in clothes.💜

To answer your question, Vasili would at first be a little uneasy when he first meets Anastasia, not because he finds her uncomfortable, but he's not very much of a social person, or say pretty introverted 'cause he doesn't know what to start with. Sooner or later, through her welcoming and gentle presence, Bell though still couldn't speak much, but would start opening up with her in the form of act of service.

Vasili would be then keen to know more about the woman, as they go out for a cup of coffee, for a walk, going in a club or on missions. At times the man would be kind of protective towards her, incase she falls in trouble or if she needs some company. I believe Vasili would like her! And trust her, especially :')

Hey Alex! Thanks for the ask, and here are some three facts about Vasili again!

The names of Vasili's parents were Mikhail Sokolov and Eva Sokolova (neè Pavlovna) and this is what they looked like! Both of them are veterans of the Second World War, and got married together after their retirement.

Ever since Park's betrayal, Vasili developed trust issues along the way, and lost hope to ever fall in a relationship with any woman again. He fears that if he finds anyone, they'd either leave him behind, or die right in front of him.

Vasili in the good ending, where all the matters get resolved with the KGB regarding the death of General Charkov, which was done under Dimitri's hands, who was the mole all this time. Before dying, Dimitri wanted Vasili to take care of his kids instead, who might not see their real father ever again. They also lost their mother, and they'll be orphaned anytime soon. With that, Vasili kept Dimitri's plea as a promise, and adopted his two children by becoming a single father, protecting them till the end. His children are twins, namely Maksim and Sofiya.
