actually i also think nigel would've been REALLY fabulous as the trenchcoat kid in some dusty high school off route 15 an hour out from vegas. he and alex really could've built some crazy ass religious delusions together in a place like that… all that big beautiful empty desert to romanticize ykwim. no trains just wandering in this big beautiful red place... the open sky... alex would of course have a jeep. nigel would be the passenger princess and yes they would bury someone they didn’t REALLY mean to kill way out there in the freezing desert in the night. yes alex dug while nigel shivered in a jacket yes alex tried to argue and nigel said some cryptic necessary means to an end bullshit…
