Whirling Dervish ~~~ {G}{G}
Creature — Human Monk
Protection from black
At the beginning of each end step, if Whirling Dervish dealt damage to an opponent this turn, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
Amid this whirling hurricane of blades, there is no calm eye in which the hapless can find shelter.

Tumblin’ Writing N°1: Krushing Time
Tumblr media
“Come on, shrimp! There’s five of us, and one of you! All your stupid familiars are dead, and you can’t run anymore! Why don’t you be a good girl and surrender already?”
So were the words of the five lightly armored mercenaries as they looked down at their surrounded prey: a small girl dressed in a magician robe obviously too big for her child-like size, proudly holding a scepter about her height. She grinned, visibly unimpressed by her many foes.
“Good girl?” she repeated, putting a hand in her off-colored lavender short hair. “You bozos are talkin’ to the Delron Spiah like she’s some sort o’ second grade spell caster? Big mistake, fools.”
One of the mercenaries pulled out a sword, raising an eyebrow. “Wanted criminal or not, you look like another generic gnome mage to me, twerp.”
Delron Spiah’s grin turned into a childish scowl as she stomped the ground with her foot, instantly enraged. “NOT a gnome! I’m just small, that’s it!”
“Oh look,” another one chuckled, “the pint-sized summoner’s getting all worked up.”
“Tch…!” Delron muttered as she fumbled through her pocket, pulling out eight shining gems. “This, is why I hate adventurers. Y’all just a bunch of generic height-judgin’ morons!”
“And what are you gonna do about it?”
Delron retrieved her previous confidence. “I didn’t bring you lot to this jungle for no reason, mind you.” she revealed. “So, what I’m gonna do, is summon this place’s guardian. Summoning Portal Open!” she raised her scepter, and a gigantic pink-colored maelstrom appeared next to them.
“As if we’d let you do that so easily! Come on, guys, attack that–”
A sudden earthquake resounded in the air, interrupting the mercenaries. They froze in place, confused.
“What was that…?”
“Quizz time, y’all!” Delron exclaimed joyfully. “What’s the best defense against a king-sized devilsaur?”
Another earthquake shook the ground, stronger than the previous one. Though Delron didn’t seem concerned at all, the mercenaries in front of her could barely stand in place, trying to regain their balance. A third one followed. Then a fourth. Until finally, a new figure slipped through Delron’s portal. Soon enough, the panicked mercenaries realized that the earthquakes weren’t really earthquakes, but the approaching monster’s footsteps.
“Time’s up!” Delron shouted. “So! The best defense against a king-sized Devilsaur… Is to have someone you don’t like standing in front o’ ya!” Delron’s words were followed by a world-shaking roar as the summoned blue Devilsaur appeared on the field, its shiny eyes locked onto the terrified mercenaries.
“I’d normally need one more Arcane Dust to summon King Krush over here, but since Delron Spiah’s awesome, there’s no need for that stuff.” Delron said, nodding to herself. “So! ‘Shrimp’, ‘good girl’, ‘twerp’, and worst of all, ‘gnome’. With all that name-calling, I think you guys need a serious beating, ‘cause y’all picked the wrong gal to mess with. King Krush?” she spun her scepter around and pointed at her foes with it, a devious smile on the face. “…Charge ‘em.”
With that said, Delron gazed at the scene with a satisfied eye as her opponents went from hunter to hunted, running away deeper in the jungle with the giant devilsaur right behind them.
Greetings, people! The name’s Glyphayel, or Glyph for short. I’m just gonna use this account to write short stories based on random images or musical pieces found here and there on the net. This time it’s King Krush, a creature I recently got to use in conjunction with the Pint-Sized Summoner, and the result was a pretty epic win, lol. Casual plays are fun.
Anyways! That’s all for now, so, ba-bai!
~T-W Glyph
