Still going absolutely insane over how many people are picking up Vincent's comments about wanting to bring back Law & Order Criminal Intent. Like, yay, but also, I'm afraid it will take all the steam out of me to keep writing how I would bring them back. Look, I know I'm never going to get it to happen, but I know all I've got is so much better than Warren Leight's current writing ability.

I doubt Vincent and Kathryn know just how bad his writing has gotten since CI ended, but it's BAD. They don't deserve bad writing as extremely talented actors, and their characters don't deserve bad writing as such wonderful, thought out characters.

Like, I have huge problems with the way Warren Leight repeatedly did shit to Bobby and gave him no wins, and it's not fun for the audience as well. But that was still during his better writing days. He's not pulling that off to any degree anymore. And, again, I just don't want to watch Bobby and Alex come back only to put them in pain again. And you can be damn sure if Warren Leight brings them back, he'll have had the two of them separated for a long time, and I just don't see that as something reasonable for how they both are with each other.

It’s been raining several hours by the time Paula finds Alex. The woman is stood, staring at her husband’s grave, clearly not seeing or feeling much beyond the ache of loneliness, missing the man who used to calm her nerves. Now, she moves to stand beside her, quietly sharing the umbrella she’s brought with her, giving Alex time before she finally speaks. “He would want you to be happy Alex…” “I am… mostly.” Alex admits, sighing as she glances sideways at Paula. “How did you…” “You told me. He’s always been your rock. Of course you’d come to him after what happened.” Silence falls, Alex considers what Paula has said, then smiles slightly, moving to kiss her softly. “Let’s go home.”
