A Golden Sun fanfic I wrote in 2004 as a teenager on the Golden Sun Bazar French website under the pseudonym Water Seer. I was able to recover it thanks to Wayback Machine.

Several months later, Mya has decided to have a child with her lover Garet but Vaiazak, a malevolent sorcerer, kidnaps her after giving her friends amnesia! Fortunately, Alex, who is also in love with her, is unaffected. Thus he embarks on an otherworldly quest to rescue her by using the Stargate.

it’s like. everything in the conclusion of GS1 would lead a reasonable person to believe that the party in GS2 would be Felix, Jenna, and Sheba (all confirmed as adepts of different elements in GS1) and also Kraden, and then the natural conclusion imo for ‘who’s the Mercury adept going to be in GS2” is Alex, because he’s an established Mercury adept with plot importance who is with Felix & crew in the GS1 epilogue.

And then there’s Piers.

Piers, a long-haired mercury adept who, in some art that could be seen without knowing about Piers’ existence, looks kinda like Alex in a new outfit.
