Now is the End of Days, and I am the Reaper! Alessa Gillespie | Silent Hill (2006) As much as I love the games (1-4 fuck the others, even if I hate 4 bc of the dumb water prison puzzle), I enjoyed the costuming in the movie. I know, I know it's not everyone's favourite but that's fine. Being able to cosplay as this version of Alessa has always been a goal of mine and I was finally able to to it! Yay! Funny story:

Silent Hill has been a part of my life since I’ve been alive, my parents played it when they were dating and they enjoyed the movie since it first was released (when I was really young, a toddler), because of that I’ve been slightly familiarized with the franchise from a young age, I didn’t saw a gameplay and neither watched the movie, cause I mean I was young and that shit would have definitely traumatized me, but I did saw the preview or fist scene from the first game:

As I was young and lacking of context, the only thing I recalled from this was the part of the girl and her parent going alone at night on the highway. Which wasn’t much but just the necessary for a curious thing to happen.

The other thing I did watch was the ending from the movie, my dad edited the ending to have an other song (cause the og song was horrible and break the mood) , and well he showed it to me, probably just because I was curious:

As I didn’t have any context, the only thing I understood was that even tho they were in the same place, they couldn’t see each other, that thing terrified me, specially because I imagined me and my family in the context and I was worried that that could happen to us.

Now, the two cases happened with at least a year from distance, I was young, lacking of context, and with a vague idea of what was Silent Hill, so for me the 2 videos came from the same movie (not a game and a movie), and because of that, for many years, silent hill was to me a movie where the mom and her daughter went out in the highway at night and when returning to their home, they just couldn’t interact with the father anymore, and within that logic and my fear to the context of the end, I made an oath to myself, to never, never in my life go out with just one of my parents on the highway at night.

I broke it not so long ago, and everything is fine, so I guess that only happens when you are the good part of Alessa Gillespie
