I was on pinterest and this detail (first image) of a bigger painting (second image) named 'The Jolly Boat' by Albert Lynch caught my eyes, 'cause it reminded me so much of that scene (third and fourth images) with Flint and Miranda on the run from London.
Now seeing the whole painting I can see the man is not looking behind but to the ship they are going towards (in the detail it wasn't so clear since there is also some land visible in the background), but still there's something in the facial expression of the two which definitely make me think about them. Something in the way the man looks haunted and the woman looks emptied, and they still are so close to one another...
It's so beautiful. Just like Flint and Miranda's relationship is to me.

make a poll of at least five of your all-time favorite characters and then tag five people to do the same. see which character is everyone's fave.
Thanks for the tag @seeingteacupsindragons
*I was trying to decide which Moriarty brother to go with since I only wanted one option per series but I adore them all. Decided on Albert because Marr did William and Hergan did Louis lol
**I don't make the rules, they must be worshipped together 😂
Tagging @xieliansbignaturals @shinyphoenix @shreddedleopard @nocturnalgrimoire @methpring As always no pressure of course!!

To harden the face, the brow, the forehead, might be used either in a bad or a good sense - in the former as denoting shamelessness or haughtiness (see the note at Isaiah 48:4); in the latter denoting courage, firmness, resolution. It is used in this sense here; and it means that the Messiah would be firm and resolute amidst all the contempt and scorn which he would meet, and would not shrink from any kind or degree of suffering which should be necessary to accomplish the great work in which he was engaged. ~ Albert Barnes

Kagehina as an Autumn Couple and the Symbolism Behind It
So, I recently came across something really cool about symbolic representations of romantic relationships in movies, and out of curiosity, stumbled upon this video about "autumn-type couples": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h584bVKNm4c
Basically, many couples we see in movies follow specific patterns of development tied to the symbolism of each season. This means that couples can represent spring, summer, autumn, or winter types.
The most common types are autumn and spring couples. While watching the video that explains the traits of autumn couples, I couldn't help but think of the entire Kagehina dynamic and how it mirrors other fictional couples with similar contrasts. It's almost inevitable, considering how artistic Haikyuu!! is, not to see the parallel between Kagehina and other iconic fictional pairs.
Autumn symbolizes a couple with opposing personalities, where one character often represents the "trunk" and the other the "leaf," like a tree shedding its orange leaves in this season. The "trunk" character tends to be more grounded, reserved, and even a bit tough or “stubborn,” often carrying past traumas that shape their personality. This is a perfect fit for Kageyama, initially portrayed as hot-headed, "arrogant," isolated, and carrying unresolved past issues. On the other hand, the "leaf" character is typically more spontaneous, extroverted, playful, charismatic, and so on.
In the video, the main traits of an autumn-type couple are listed, which I’ll highlight in the Kagehina dynamic.
Opposite Personalities
It's no surprise that Kageyama and Hinata have clashing personalities in many ways; in fact, this is one of the main reasons for their frequent conflicts early in the series. Kageyama is often portrayed as "Winter," while Hinata is more of a "Summer" (we see this through their birth dates) and the Yin-Yang references in various panels and illustrations.
While Hinata, early on, is shown as sociable, charismatic, communicative, fun, and spontaneous, Kageyama is portrayed as more reserved, introverted, struggling with communication, and having difficulty dealing with his own emotions (like anger or loneliness).
A common element in many stories featuring these types of couples—and present in Haikyuu! as well—is that, despite their opposing personalities, the two end up having a lot in common! This shared ground allows for the development of their relationship. There are many examples of this with Kageyama and Hinata, from small things like their low academic performance to more central aspects of the story, like their mutual passion for volleyball.
Physical Appearance
This type of couple often stands out visually when we look for patterns, and this is where it really clicked for me. The “trunk” character tends to have cooler tones, and an incredibly common pattern is blue eyes and dark hair. Meanwhile, the “leaf” character is almost always a redhead. Remind you of anyone? Hahaha
Other couples with this characteristic (a red-haired character as part of an autumn couple): (taken from the recommended video)
Another interesting detail is that, to emphasize the lively personality of the "leaf" character, some may have messy hair, like Johnny’s, which resembles how Furudate draws Hinata's hair. In fact, in a few interviews, they mention Hinata’s hair being intentionally messy. Meanwhile, the “trunk” character's hair is often neater and more put-together, like Sam and Flint dynamic. Messy hair is also widely used in animation as a symbol of “eccentricity,” often as a nod to Albert Einstein.
"Hinata boke!!!"
Even the famous "Hinata, boke!" fits perfectly as a classic trope in fictional couples. It’s an interesting detail because it highlights the contrast between the characters' personalities. In almost all the films referenced, the "trunk" character calls the "leaf" character things like “crazy,” “weird,” “ridiculous,” or, in Kageyama’s case, “idiot” – a lot of “affectionate” nicknames, in a way. It’s similar to Mavis calling Johnny "clueless" or Gru calling Lucy “weird.” And one of the first things Kageyama says to Hinata when they start playing together is…
Development
The development of an autumn couple's relationship happens as the "trunk" character begins to understand the "leaf" character better, seeing the world from their perspective and allowing both to balance each other’s personalities. In the end, the leaf character becomes more grounded, and the trunk character learns to address their own inner challenges. For Kageyama, Hinata helped him overcome the stigma of being the "King of the Court," while Kageyama helped Hinata become a stronger volleyball player, even encouraging Hinata to adopt better self-care habits and consistently emphasizing the importance of solid passing on the court—skills that later made Hinata one of the most complete players in the V League by the timeskip. Additionally, Hinata starts setting aside his impulsive nature to make more strategic game decisions, which becomes clear during Kageyama’s national training arc.
Typically, the trunk character will challenge the leaf character to take a more serious approach, and when the leaf character does, the trunk character, in turn, takes on a behavior or habit that the leaf character desired, symbolizing trust.
For Kageyama and Hinata’s relationship, this development is seen throughout the series, but the first moment it truly happens is when Kageyama sets up a toss for Hinata. Kageyama insists Hinata improve his passing skills, only then promising to set for him. So, Hinata trains hard and proves he can deliver a solid passing. Recognizing this, Kageyama finally sets up a toss for Hinata to spike, which Hinata had hoped for from the beginning.
Moreover, Kageyama takes on Hinata's impulsive style when they create their first quick attack, with Hinata jumping with his eyes closed.
They’re the kind of pair that matures together, and after finding balance, they end up sharing similar goals with the same intensity and passion. For Kagehina, that means spending as much time as possible on the court to play volleyball (whether on the same or different teams, but always connected).
Conclusion
In conclusion, Hinata and Kageyama embody all the core traits of an "autumn couple." Even though their love is canonically platonic, seeing these details and patterns reflected in other stories is fascinating, helping us appreciate their relationship even more and reinforcing the idea that these two truly love each other! Romantically or platonically—take your pick, haha!

Seeking Communion - May 1, 2023
The Lord calls His vessels, those that are even empty; He calls them to come and drink of His Spirit, to come to be filled fresh, strong.
His wind will blow away the staleness, the familiar, the comfortable, but it will blow in a NEW THING:
You will know it by His peace that will be in the midst of it. You will know it by the instructions of truth from His Word that will establish it. You will know it by the presence of His Spirit that will hover and instill it – write it on your hearts. You will know it by the quickening of His Spirit to your spirit.
You must choose to come. For He has given you the RIVER OF LIFE already: Will you drink from the cup of salvation?
Will you swim in the river of His glory? Will you bathe in the river of His cleansing stream?
Will you allow His water to overrule your thinking, and wash away unclean thoughts, negative thoughts, thoughts of anger, rage, disappointment, and fear? Will you allow His water to come and to take down all that would cause your thoughts to come against His PURPOSE for your life?
For He wants a pure and holy people – filled, spilling over, with the river of God abiding in a Kingdom Consciousness.
Come. Do not despise thirst, but come, for thirst is a calling card of His Spirit to come. Be not content to linger and wander in the desert of brokenness and disappointment, but set your face like flint, and come to the River. For He will part the Red Sea for you, too; for the Blood of Jesus has already won all that concerns you and your next Kingdom-advancing assignment, but you must come.

Light Bearers in All Belief Systems
All religions and Myths are the same, using different names for same symbols and different allegories for the same teachings
The teachings of Gnosticism, usually reveres Lucifer not as the devil, but as a savior, a guardian or instructing spirit or even the true god as opposed to Jehovah.
Léo Taxil (1854–1907) claimed that Freemasonry is associated with worshipping Lucifer. In what is known as the Taxil hoax, he alleged that leading Freemason Albert Pike had addressed "The 23 Supreme Confederated Councils of the world" (an invention of Taxil), instructing them that Lucifer was God, and was in opposition to the evil god Adonai.
Cultures around the globe assign the Morning Star a central role in Creation. Yet despite its prominence in ancient myth and ritual, the cosmogonical traditions surrounding the
star-god have remained virtually unexamined to date. In the following essay, we will investigate the sacred terminology associated with the Morning Star and argue that itsorigins and theoretical rationale are likely to be found in that star’s unique and cataclysmic recent history. It is notable that the Morning Star is known by similar names virtually everywhere. In numerous cultures the Morning Star was celebrated as the bringer of light. Such is the original meaning of the Latin epithet Lucifer, for example, applied to the Morning Star (Helel ben Shahar) by exegetes of the Old Testament. An early Greek name for the
Morning Star—Phosphoros—has the same meaning.
It is equally common to find the Morning Star described by an epithet denoting “Lord of
the Dawn.” To the Aztec skywatchers in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, for example, the
Morning Star was known as Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, Lord of the Dawn. For the Skidi Pawnee of the North American Plains, the Morning Star was conceptualized as being intimately associated with the dawn, the celestial domain of departed souls:
“The Morning Star stands upon the dawn. The dawn is represented as a bed of flint
stones, the souls of the dead. As the Morning Star walks, coming up, it makes a blaze of fire so that the red streaks of dawn are seen.” For Homer and Hesiod alike the Morning Star was conceptualized as masculine in natureand known as Heosphoros, “Dawn-bringer.”Thus Homer writes: “At that time when the dawn star passes across earth, harbinger of light, and after him dawn of the saffron mantle is scattered across the sea.”
Hesiod described the mythological genealogy of
Morning Star as follows: “And after these Erigeneia [Eos] bare the star Eosphorus (Dawn-Bringer), and the gleaming stars with which heaven is crowned.” Countless cultures referred to the Morning Star by a name that identified it as the “day bringer” or day-star. For the Polynesian astronomers who charted that culture’s countless long-distance voyages, the Morning Star was known as Fetia ao, “Star of Day.” So, too, among the Slavic peoples of ancient Europe, the Morning Star was known as Denica, “star of day.” Analogous names were commonplace among Amerindians of the New World. For the indigenous cultures along the Northwest coastal region of North America, recurringnames for the Morning Star include “Bringing the Daybreak,” “Bringing the Day,” “Star of Daylight,” and “Daylight has come.”In the Quiché Maya account of Creation, similarly, the Morning Star was described as the first star to appear in heaven: “This one came first before the sun when the sun was born, the new day bringer.”
All of the aforementioned names are commonly thought to have reference to the planet Venus in its familiar role as the Morning Star, during which it appears as the brightest star in the pre-dawn sky and, so the story goes, seems to announce the forthcoming “light of the Sun and day." Upon reflection, however, it seems most unlikely that any ancient skywatcher worth his salt would have chosen the relatively diminutive Venus to denote
the “day-bringer” or the “bringer of light.” Such names would appear to be much more
suitable for the Sun.
The light bearer is also known as Horus Duat, Athtar, Cinteotl, Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, Itztlacoliuhqui, papa pachapacari ch’aska, Raven, Nanauatzin, Tecuciztecatl, Quetzalcoatl, Viejito, Nanahuatl, abogado de las bubas y del mal de los ojos y del romadico y tosse, u-pirikucu, Icoquih, is raxa, Venus, Mars, Christ, Tlahuizcalpanteuctl.
Every single faith has a light bearer just as every faith worships the same God whether it be the God of the Bible or Allah; as is also a Shiva and Shakti.
There is no other belief set that vilifies a day star except for Christianity. In fact you'll see worship of both the Daystar and the morning Star all at the same time, as they saw the importance of both. However the Bible demonizes A Day star and proceeds to call it Satan. as if it's not a star. It proceeds then further to say that the day star being Lucifer or satan waged a war against God, etc, instead of seeing or realizing that for it to even exist God still gave life to it. I just don't see why anything that is celestial or of any importance would ever wage a war against something much greater. We must remember both Lucifer and Christ called themselves The morning Star I'm not saying they're both the same character or the same morning Star because one eventually begins to become the Daystar however here in this must mean they both share importance for the spiritual teachings of mankind.
