you may be able to access HRT through Planned Parenthood, if you have those nearby—not all of them do HRT but many do. they list which services they offer at each specific place online, and if they have "gender-affirming care" on the list they do HRT.

This is true! and excellent!!! and i am SO glad that they do this. however when i say "i haven't been to a doctor in any capacity since college" in my case that literally means since.... 2011? possibly earlier? and i don't have the first clue how to fix my brain to begin changing that. i could explain WHY the normal adult task of Making An Appointment With An Doctor is apparently impossible for me but that's a whole other kettle of trauma that we don't super need to get into. boils down to none parenting with left autism but y'know.
