Everest cocked his head to the side slightly. It seemed something was off with Para, he could only wonder what, but he could sense it. Confidently, he closed the gap between them, peering into their eyes.

“You’re lying.” Everest declared, his expression rather blank, though his mask hid the fact. “Where’s Sakura? Did you banish her with one of your portals? I’ve been searching far and wide. I never forgot.”

His eyelids dropped down a little, eyes seeming to zone out momentarily as if he were thinking. “I have important things to do, yet, I can’t forget about her.”

Para jolts as he draws closer, quickly backing away, their heart jumping in their chest. If Everest didn’t notice before, he can see now that the dimension jumper appears to be missing an arm, the empty sleeve of their trenchcoat tied up into a knot to keep it out of the way...and besides the obvious, there is something else different about them...unseen reduced stamina for magic. ...This is dangerous.

They swallow thickly, anger and fear swirling around in the pit of their stomach. “I...t-that is none of your concern!” they exclaim, taking another step back. “S-Stay away from me and my family!”
