ALAND Developments Extend Parramatta Eels Partnership for a Further Three Years
The Parramatta Eels are proud to announce that major partner, ALAND, have extended their partnership with the club for another three seasons.

ALAND’s partnership with the Eels has become one of the most recognisable in the NRL and will see the two organisations relationship extend to the 2024 season.
Parramatta Eels CEO, Jim Sarantinos, thanked the entire ALAND team for their ongoing support and loyalty to the club in a recent statement.
 “This partnership is a great example of why our Club values meaningful relationships. ALAND have been a strong supporter of the Club since 2016 and are passionate contributors to the growth of our organisation both on and off the field.
“We’re incredibly excited to continue our relationship with the ALAND team who have helped us establish some really strong foundations as a club’’, Mr Sarantinos said.
ALAND Developments founder Andrew Hrsto echoed these comments “We’re extremely excited to continue our relationship with the mighty Eels. Parramatta is my home town, it’s where my heart is and our business, ALAND, is built around this special place – Sydney’s geographical heart.

Trelleborg To Supply Smart Rope Free Mooring System To Port Of Langnas
Trelleborg’s marine systems operation will supply its rope-free automated mooring system, AutoMoor, to the Port of Langnas’ international cruise ferry and domestic ro-ro ferry berths. The Port of Langnas is situated in the Baltic Sea on the archipelago of Aland, which has intensive ferry traffic between Sweden and Finland via Aland. Developed following several years of customer consultations and recently successfully trialled at the Port of Melbourne in Australia, AutoMoor uses smart technologies to enable a faster berthing process and improve safety levels within the port environment.

Ronny Eriksson, CEO at the Port of Langnas, commented: “The port’s international cruise ferry berth alone accommodates nearly 3,000 vessel moorings per year. The majority of which are some of the most advanced cruise ferries worldwide with sizes ranging from 34,000GT to 66,000GT and between 165 to 230 meters in length. Given what is a significantly high volume for just a single berth, it was vital that we upgraded both berths in the port to ensure they continue to sustain such a high vessel throughput. With that in mind, it was essential that the upgrade saw the adoption of automated mooring systems to facilitate quick, safe and reliable mooring operations.”
Using vacuum technology to rapidly attach to and secure a vessel at berth, AutoMoor reduces vessel motions and continuously monitors all mooring loads acting on the vessel at berth. This provides live data to the operator to optimize day-to-day port and terminal operations. It also minimizes personnel involvement to reduce human error and improve safety.
Developed specifically for the use at the Port of Langnas, Trelleborg’s AutoMoor T40 Twin Arm has two mooring arms that can operate in synch or independently to provide flexible mooring of vessels with varying hull profiles. This enables ports to accept a greater range of vessel types. The AutoMoor T40 Twin Arm also has a compact footprint allowing for installation in limited spaces including between gantry rails and the wharf edge.

“Through the use of AutoMoor at Langnas, ship operators such as Viking Lines, Tallink-Silja and Finnlines, will be able to manage crew rest periods more efficiently while reducing onboard personnel and operating costs. AutoMoor is also intended to help ports and terminals become more environmentally efficient, because vessels can be secured in under a minute and released in 30 seconds. Trelleborg’s AutoMoor solution falls under the operation’s SmartPort portfolio. SmartPort powers the critical interface between ship and port, on land and at sea. This generation, which has overtaken baby boomers as the largest generation, is moving into their prime spending and working years; hence, marketing to millennials should be an important consideration for your business.

Channels and Tools Marketers Should Use To Reach Millennials
1. Utilize Google advertising.

Jumping on the fury caused by the ‘Are You Beach Body Ready’ campaign that was launched by a weight loss company, it cleverly placed ads asking train commuters if they were ‘Beer Body Ready’ – highlighting that consumers don’t need to look a certain physical way to enjoy summer.
The combination of timely relevance and relatable humor made it one of the most inspired campaigns of the past few years.
25. Make it personal like Coca-Cola.

The campaign put 250 of the most popular names among teens and millennials on 20-ounce bottles.

26. Effective use of a credible influencer in Under Armour’s ‘Rule Yourself’ campaign.

This ad focuses on its star rather than the brand. That’s easily done when you have Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time.
It’s beautifully shot, with only occasional flashes of the Under Armour logo as Phelps trains. It highlights the hard work and determination needed to be successful, with the implication being that if Under Armour is good enough for someone that puts this much effort into their training, it’s probably good enough for you.
However, it is important to note that influencers don’t always have to be celebrities and Olympic stars, you should be able to find influencers in your niche who come with a less expensive price tag.
27. Tackle opposing beliefs like Heineken’s ‘Social Experiment’

Heineken brings together strangers with directly opposing beliefs and points of view and gets them to build a bar together in a “social experiment” designed to overcome barriers in an overly polarized world.
A recent Heineken video ad features a three-pair team up a climate-change denier with an environmental activist, a transgender woman and a right-wing guy who thinks it’s “wrong,” a feminist and an anti-feminist. They’re challenged with assembling some flat pack furniture and then a bar, as well as discussing each other’s personalities (but not beliefs specifically).
It’s only after they’ve worked together are they shown a film of the other person discussing their beliefs. They are then given the choice either to walk away or sit down and have a beer with the other person. Their reactions and expressions seem authentic — and in a world where we’re told we’re all existing in social media echo chambers, the video shows the power of actually connecting with people in person as opposed to trolling them online.
28. Give them a chance to pay it forward like Toms.

Toms and Target teamed up one holiday season to offer a limited-edition holiday collection of Toms’ shoes, Toms for Target, hoping to leverage Toms’ popular “One for One” campaign with Target’s limited-edition expertise. With the holiday campaign, Toms and Target go the extra mile with additional items priced under $50; and each purchase triggers a donation, including meals and blankets, in addition to shoes.
The Toms footwear brand does an excellent job of marketing to millennials by appealing to the generation’s social consciousness and desire to make a difference. Toms’ business model is based on giving back: with each purchase of shoes, an additional pair is donated to those in need. Kudos to these brands for recognizing an opportunity to make a good idea even better by joining forces and aligning missions in a focused way.

Aland Developments|New Master-Planned Precinct in Merrylands to Launch Soon

ALAND is excited to announce The Gladstone Village, an $800 million new master-planned precinct in Merrylands.
It is anticipated there will be strong demand for the first stage of this project, which will be released to market next month.
The prime 2.5-hectare site, located adjacent to the Merrylands train station, has DA approval for 365-apartments set across three buildings – up to 20 storeys in height – with construction set to start in May this year.
With a rooftop pool and vast landscaped open areas, it is a rare offering for Merrylands and one of the last remaining pockets along Sydney’s rail network to be developed.
Chief Executive Officer George Tadrosse said planning delays, material and labour shortages as well as a magnitude of impacts as a result of the pandemic, has resulted in a desperate shortage of apartments coming onto the market. In addition, buyers now priced out of the housing market are looking for affordability, adding pressure to the supply of apartments.
“There are all these compounding factors influencing the property market at the moment but ALAND is in a good position to deliver the majority of stock in Western Sydney.
“Merrylands is also an attractive suburb to investors because it is only a short distance to Parramatta CBD. It is the first development of its kind in the suburb and within close proximity to Stocklands Merrylands and the train station and bus terminal.”
