I think Scobie wants us to think he's more important than he actually is. It's very "I know something you don't and I'm never going to tell." Most of the time when people taunt us like that, whatever they're hiding never lives up to the hype - like Geraldo Rivera and Al Capone's vault.

My theory is that it's related to the phone hacking cases, specifically the one William settled with back in 2020. While we don't know a whole lot about William's settlement, it's reasonable to assume there might be some NDAs involved. (I don't actually know - this is just my guess since it involves both the royal family and the Murdoch empire.)

The timing Scobie presents in Endgame line up with this: Wootton and The Sun were pursuing the affair rumors. Christian Jones had been trying to stop it for a few months. Then seemingly overnight, The Sun dropped their investigation and began a campaign to smear the Sussexes. This continues for the rest of 2019. Then in 2020, The Sun gets info about Megxit and scoops everyone, even the Sussexes. Harry takes his concerns to William at the Sandringham Summit. William says "yes, we have our own suspicions, I'll take care of it." Harry (and Scobie) expect heads to roll but they don't and Jones gets promoted instead. Fast-forward three years and Harry tells us that William settled a phone-hacking lawsuit for a shit ton of money back in 2020.

Which makes me think that William's "yes we have our own suspicions, I'll take care of it" statement to Harry was in reference to the lawsuit/settlement being negotiated and possibly William's expectation that any consequences would be severe enough to stop whatever was happening. But because Harry expects everything to happen when he says it should and is too careless to understand how long things take, he jumped the gun and triggered a nuclear option that threatened to tank the settlement so the palace responded in kind to protect the negotiations.

I do still think that Harry made an accusation against Jones and whatever he alleged, it was serious enough for the palace to get him a lawyer. I also think that perhaps William/Kensington Palace were leaning on Jones's access to Wootton (remember, Jones disclosed the relationship before he was even hired) to try to figure some things out and Harry was poised to jeopardize that.

Proposed fact checking website/blog Several sinners, me included, really want to see these two reap their rewards for all their lies. It was suggested that maybe a website/blog with actual facts compared to what they said, where they’ve changed facts, where statements are made out of context, etc. Seeing as there is currently no main stream journalist willing to actually challenge them, I was thinking that we could create a space where all of their lies and deception are listed.This would need to be professional and fact based with PRIMARY source links. It should be in chronological order.
