He asked before he sat back down next to you before giving you the bouquet. There was a note attached. You held the bouquet and looked confused at the note. You looked at Boschi before asking. "What did you write?" You asked, before he looked at you. "It's a secret. Read it tonight." He said. Before patting your head, your eyes lit up and looked back at the bouquet. You nodded softly before you felt something push behind your ear. A beautiful red rose.

"I'm full of surprises, aren't I?" Boschi smiled. "I got that from Ammon, but, I know it would contrast your appearance." You looked at Boschi and nodded. "T-Thank you..Boschi." you said, a simple thank you from you was already making his heart beat that fast. He looked away, rubbing his neck with his prosthetic arm. "Don't mention it, aruji-sama.." he said, inside, he wanted to hug you. Tightly. A tight hug where he wouldn't let you go.

As time past, you two headed back. Boschi already made sure he dusted his jacket before leaving, but, as soon as he felt the cold wind, he immediately wrapped it over your shoulders.

6:59 pm.

You spent time with the other butlers until the end of the day, but, you've spent time with Boschi longer than the others. You changed into something comfortable as you hear a knock from outside of your door. "Come in." You said as you sat down, drinking the freshly brewed tea made by Berrien. The door opened, it was Boschi. He closed the door behind him before speaking. "I'm not interrupting your alone time, aren't I?" He said before he sat down across you.

He hesitated, wanting to ask something. "Aruji-sama, are you really leaving?" He asked, his voice sounded sad, as he looked down. You placed your tea down. "..I have to." You said before Boschi rested both his hands on the table. You reached out and placed your hand against his. "I want to stay here with you, but sometimes, you have to let someone go." You said. Your voice filled with sorrow before Boschi gulped. "Don't say such things." He said before he lifted your hand and rubbed his thumb against your hand. "..have you read the note?" He asked. You remembered, you shook your head before he sighed.

"I'll read it for you." He said, hesitating. You nodded and stood up to find the bouquet he has gifted you. He looked down, wondering how he'll live without you. His days will be boring without you.

"here." You said, making Boschi stop zoning out. He cleared his throat before speaking.

"Dear Aruji-Sama." He said hesitating.

"today's your last day with us, with me. I've made a lot of memorable memories with you for the past few years and months. But today, I really wanted to make it very special for you. Day after day, I've stayed by your side every night. I wanted you to stay before leaving me."

You asked yourself as you felt Boschi hug you from behind before taking a step. "Mhm." He hummed as you stopped walking, letting him hug you.

• Absolutely would not let you play near the rose bushes, because you'll get hurt.

• He also helped out decorating your room, with your favorite flowers.

• Sometimes he makes a few bouquets for you and places them in your bedroom.

• Decorated your room as well with Ammon and Haures.

• Whenever he steals candy from Haures, he gives some to you.

Aruji-sama always has their eyes closed (like our beloved doctor, Lucas 🍷) was actually an idea I had in mind a while ago, so I'm really happy someone has the same thoughts as me!

Also don't worry about your grammar! I admire the fact that you're trying your best to learn English as a second language <3

Unfortunately, I don't read manhwa so I don't know who Athanasia is, so I hope it's ok if Aruji-sama in this world has ruby red eyes like Muu! (They also wear colour contacts on some occasions!)

Now without further ado, let me show you my headcanons of an Aruji-sama who is insecure of their eyes~

⚠️Warnings!⚠️- Probably OOC Berrien, Angst near the end with fluff and a whole ass fanfic at the end written by yours truly :3 {headcanons + mini story under the cut!}

Arrival

When you first came to the palace, everyone thought it was weird that you always had your eyes closed.

Sure, they have Lucas, but it's not like he has his eyes closed when he does his experiments or when he's fighting angels.

The butlers didn't question you, of course, thinking it might be something related to your family traditions or culture from your world.

But Muu... oh yes, our beloved cat butler asked you. He couldn't help it! His curiosity got the best of him, and he wanted to do anything to help you.

By the first few chapters of Episode 1, only Muu knows your insecurities and troubles about your eyes (or so you thought). He knows that you constantly want to open your eyes to see the beauty of the world, but you struggle to get past your insecurities and in the end, fail to do so.

From that moment on, Muu decided that he would be your trusty guide feline! Whenever you go to parties or town, imagine him walking by your side hissing at any stranger who seems to have ill intentions to you.

Or just carry him around like how the evil stepmother from Cinderella does and he'll tell you directions.

From your perspective

Your first instinct was to tightly shut your eyes when you heard Berrien's voice when waking up. (he saw your eyes but he didn't question it, since colourful eyes are pretty common in the Akuneko world)

You don't remember putting your colour contacts in, so you had to rely on your hearing and "Instincts" to know what's happening. Taking small peeks at the butler's clothes and listening carefully to their voices wasn't much of a hassle. You were used to it after all.

You weren't able to see any of the butler's faces though. As it would mean making eye contact with them, and you don't want to do that for now - (This is important later near the end of this post! <3)

Everything went smoothly until Muu decided to ask about your eyes. It was to be expected, so you told him. And WOWZA, WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! MUU ALSO HAS UNIQUE EYES!

Now you and Muu bond over the fact that you both have the same eye colour.

Like in the "Arrival" paragraph above, Muu will be your guide feline and you carry him around everywhere at parties like another set of eyes.

...and of course, time for the big reveal! Hurray!

At this point, let's say that you were able to retrieve your colour contacts from your world, and started using them in the Akuenko world.

It could end up in one of these two scenarios. Both depending whether or not you have your colour contacts on.

The first one is when you DO have your colour contacts on. A scenario where Berrien confronts you about your eyes. Since he was the first person to "see" your eyes without the colour contacts when you first arrived (as said in the "From your perspective" headcanons above). He probably thought it was weird that your eyes were a completely different colour than it was before.

The second scenario is when you DON'T have your colour contacts. This is when you and some other butlers run into some angels or are ambushed by townsfolk. You need to open your eyes to dodge, don't you? Or to even express your emotions!

Imagine the butlers (apart from Berrien if he accompanies you, but that'll lead to the first scenario) being confused as hell!

(in this part, I will only do the first scenario. I might do the second scenario if someone wants me to do it ;))

Scenario 1 - Answers & Acceptance

"Pardon me, Aruji-sama..." You turned around to see Berrien at the doorway of your room carrying a tea set for 2, and some pastries. He walked further into the room, his head low and facial features slightly tense. "I hope you don't mind me intruding but, I would like to ask you something."

You blinked a couple of times before tilting your head, welcoming Berrien to sit down on the chair next to you (But he obviously refused, due to "complicated butler and master boundary manners").

"Is something the matter? If something's troubling you I'll try my best to help." You felt the air becoming tenser, especially when the only sound was Berrien pouring tea into your teacup.

"Oh no, it's none of that Aruji-sama." Berrien passed you your teacup filled with hot tea. "Please don't take any offence to this but..."

He hesitated. Was this truly the best time to ask? He was curious about the fact that your eyes once shone a beautiful ruby red, turned into an entirely different colour. He was curious about why you constantly had your eyes closed on the first few weeks of arriving at the mansion. He was curious about why Muu suddenly became protective over you.

He was simply curious.

'No Berrien. It's just a simple question! Surely Aruji-sama will forgive me...' Berrien thought as he gripped his gloved hands tightly behind his back. 'But... there must be a reason, no? I shouldn't over-cross Aruji-sama's boundaries! They should tell us of their condition when they're comfortable-..."

He eventually gave in to his curiosity.

"...were your eyes always this colour?"

You flinched at that, which wasn't Berrien's expected reaction from you.

"O-oh my, what do you mean?" you craned your neck to look at your teacup to avoid Berrien's gaze. The reflection of your eyes... no, your colour contacts stared back at you in the shimmering liquid.

"I- It's not that your eyes aren't beautiful! Believe me, your eyes are magnificent!" Berrien felt saddened even by looking at your guilt-ridden face. "I just... remember seeing your eyes in a beautiful shade of red when you first came to the palace."

...

Beautiful. That was a word you heard often.

But it never paired up with the word "eyes"

A monstrosity, they used to call you. A monster, a demon, a villain. All because of your ruby red eyes.

They would all say

"A villain like you should never have a happy ending."

If only you could change your eye colour...

And so you did. By wearing colour contacts with the colour society deemed "normal", you were able to blend in perfectly.

Not up until... now

Long story short, you wore a suspicious ring, got yeeted into another world, got into a mess of Angels V.S. Devils V.S. Townsfolk, and found a newly acquired friend where you bonded over having the same eye colour.

For once, you genuinely felt like you lit in.

After a while, you were able to return to your world. You frantically searched for your colour contacts and rushed to return to the other world.

The moment you stepped into the palace with your newly acquired colour contacts to surprise your butlers, you saw them.

Their beautiful, vibrant eyes. Each of them has different colours. Amber, soft pink, heck some of them had mixed eye colours!

It made you jealous really. Being able to show your eyes without being judged...

If only you knew about their colourful eyes, you would've shown up one day with your eyes fully open.

But now you can't. You lied to them about your eyes. You don't want them to hate you for lying.

But as of the moment now...

"I just... remember seeing your eyes in a beautiful shade of red when you first came to the palace."

What is this feeling? Sadness? Guilt? Shock?

No, no... this must be relief, a feeling you've longed for all these years...

...

"You... you think my eyes are... beautiful?" your voice wavered, and tears threatened to spill into your tea

"Aruji-sama?" Berrien squeaked in surprise and rushed beside you. "Please don't cry! There's no need to be ashamed of them, I think they are beautiful!"

"really...?"

"I am very sure, and I believe the others will love them too."

Your sniffles stopped, but not completely as you looked up.

"You're not mad that I lied to you?"

"Oh stars, I will never be mad at you Aruji-sama. It is our job to make you feel welcome here in the palace. No matter what form you take, we butlers will forever love you"

You started to cry again, but this time, you didn't seem sad.

"Thank you" you managed to say between sobs, and gave Berrien a big smile.

In my past few works, I wrote about Aruji-sama who's a devil, an angel and a fairy. But an Aruji-sama who's a Chinese dragon? I LOVE YOUR IDEA!!!

I did a lot of searching about the Chinese dragon, here are the sources I used! - Here! (Please let me know if some information is fake or isn't true!) (Also PLEASE tell me if anything I wrote here is offensive in any kind of way! I don't want to accidentally offend anyone here, I want my readers to feel comfortable reading my writing)

Eyes

First of all, I'd like to imagine that Aruji-sama has eyes with a gradient of colours and slitted pupils. Colourful eyes are extremely unusual in the Human world, so Aruji-sama has to hide their identity by wearing colour contacts.

Ever since going to the Akuneko world and seeing the butler's MAJESTIC eyes, Aruji-sama probably thought that taking their contacts off would be a good idea...

But even if colourful eyes aren't unusual in that world, slitted eyes sure are!

💍: Oh thanks-

🍷: Is this some sort of unusual genetics from your world, Aruji-sama? May I have a closer look?

💍: Yes, of course-

⭐: Aruji-sama! Your eyes are sparkly... like, like stars!

💍: *sobbing internally from embarrassment* (from my research, apparently Chinese Dragons are shy? Oh my! I suppose we have another case of slightly insecure and shy Aruji-sama, oh no!)

Scales and Tails

Just another note about Aruji-sama's appearance! Once they open up to the butlers, I'd like to think that they'd let their appearance slip through their human looks. From their tail suddenly popping out when they're happy, to showing their canine teeth when they're angry.

Another from this, what if there are scales on Aruji's neck or arms? Poor Flure might have to constantly repair your clothes if they get stuck or even cut by your scales... (Another part of him is excited to make new clothes that won't get damaged, and look natural with your scales!)

Think of it as... those Zhongli (from Genshin Impact) or Dan Heng (from Honkai Star Rail) in their half-dragon forms! That's what I imagine Dragon Aruji-sama to look like!

🪡: I'm doing a fair bit of my own research too! I'll find the perfect fabric that can withstand your scales, that way you don't have to worry about your sleeves getting ripped! I'm also thinking of a way to incorporate your tail! Perhaps a long skirt or pants style could work-

Fortune and Rain

Last but not least, as Chinese Dragons represent "Good Fortune" and "Strength", I think that Aruji-sama's presence would give extreme luck to every butler in the palace

It can be small, unnoticeable things to unusual and terrifyingly weird events. Like Ammon's roses growing unusually well in bad weather, Nac feeling energized even after he only had a few hours of sleep, and... Haures actually succeeding in making something edible!?

The butlers might freak out (especially because of Haures's case).

And with the power of Google, I have found out that Chinese Dragons are usually associated with water. Occasional rainclouds here and there... oh and nobles slipping on puddles here and there... why is that noble drenched? Wasn't today sunny all day?

I can't write shit recently cause I'm really busy, but I had another Isekai!Akuneko AU >:D

So, so... I know I've been writing about Isekai!Aruji-sama a lot BUT! What if MC was isekai-ed, not as Aruji-sama, but as a butler/maid in Devil's Palace, an NPC who gave the past butlers happiness before the despair, or an angel! (I'm going to write the NPC and Angel AU in another post)

Outcome 1: You spawn into the world as a Devil Butler/ Maid.

It's just that one day... a new butler/ maid enters the mansion and POOF! Now we have a different soul in the body!

For example, if spawned in the early days of the Devil Butlers, you will find the oldest butlers in the original timeline (Berrien, Miyaji, and Lucas), and you can gain their trust knowing they'll most likely (they have to be) alive at the point when the main plot begins. There are obviously going to be other butlers in the mansion, so you could try to save them and spare some trauma for poor Miyaji. You could prevent Lucas and Miyaji from getting into the fight that caused them to give each other the silent treatment for a thousand years (and maybe prevent Miyaji to get his scar). With this, your relationship with Lucas and Miyaji (dilf duo *cough*) will be pretty ok. Do they trust you? Yes ✅ Will they be mad at you constantly for risking your life for others too much? Yes ✅ Will you be invited to their wine parties? Absolutely yes! ✅✅ Will they be relying on you a lot? Yes yes!! 100% YES ✅✅✅

They'll stick next to you like glue. From the main and side stories, it is said that they treated each other like brothers until the big fight they had. They'll treat you like their little sibling who has to deal with all their shit (good luck with the next few centuries with them...) Or if MC has a motherly personality, they'll both joke that Miyaji is the dad, Lucas is the weird Uncle, and you're the Mom/ other Dad

As for Berrien though? At first, he may think you're a very helpful butler/ maid since you're running around the palace helping everyone in sight. But as time goes on and the new butlers (Lamli, Lato, the problem man-children in general) come along, he might think it's really sus that you know how to handle each and every butler with their unique personalities. Sure, you have been a butler/ maid in Devil's Palace for quite a long time, and you've met new butlers and known lots of unique people over those years, but something feels... off. Just know he'll be having his guard up whenever he's with you (But he doesn't hate you don't worry)

As for the butlers that came after (a few centuries before the main story begins) like Haures and Fennesz will look up to you like a little brother to an older sibling (ouch, Fennesz's trauma kicking in). You can save Boschi from losing his arm and eye, give Fennesz more self-confidence, and Ammon... to at least let him trust you (if you succeed congrats! Now you have another emotionally unstable boy by your side!!).

There's going to be one point where you and Miyaji find Lato living in the forest after years of the torment he's faced locked up in a science lab. And what are you going to do about it? Give him love and comfort of course!! He won't open up to you immediately (Lato's trust issues) but with your knowledge of a 1000+ year old person and memories of the character's personality, now you have a child! The child is Lato btw. You're now his new mother/ father and you don't have a choice. Oh my, such a happy family! *crashing sounds in the distance*

Then gaining Lamli's trust. He's not that hard like Lato, just needs a pinch of Lucas, and... BOOM now you have another magnet stuck to you good job :D

(I'm not sure about Nac's past since I haven't looked into his side stories)

Now for the new butlers. Not new like Teddy, Hanamaru, and Yuhan, a few decades before the main plot. First, we have Bastien and Lono. An Emo and a Sunshine boy... how nice :D You're in for a treat. Lono is known to be the best cook so better eat those plates clean! And Bastien... silent acknowledgment I guess. He won't open up until the events of Episode 1 come to a close, so it's best to have some common interests with him like carving and fluffy animals to at least crack his walls down.

I'm not quite sure about Flure's past, but at least save try to save Zepal (the butler that gets demonized a few years before the plot) for him. Alright?

Now, I believe you deserve a new title~! Now you're the younger butler's parental figure!! I'm going to bet my soul Lamli will call you Mama-chan or Papa-kun as your nickname.

Possible love interests in this AU outcome will be... Aruji-sama, and possibly Berrien? Aruji-sama is pretty self-explanatory. I mean, who wouldn't want to date someone as pretty as you? And Berrien is... an Enemy/ Stranger to Lovers kinda troupe? He won't trust you much at first, but over those decades and centuries he might one day... one day open up to you.
