🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?

Cadius has practically nothing from his childhood. In fact, even if he did, he probably wound up burning it all. 

He despises his past. His family, the way he was raised to limit himself to make the royal family look better, the lessons he’s learned from them... He hated all of it. So why wouldn’t he throw it all away?

But if there’s one thing he’s kept since then, it’s the weapon he received for his birthday: a small, antique switchblade, gifted to him by his now-dead mentor. It’s his mentor that encouraged him to keep pursuing his interests despite his family’s instructions, allowing him to delve into all manners of subjects and activities—-secretly, of course.

‘A switchblade is still a blade even when hidden,’ his mentor said. ‘But whether the blade stays sharp is up to its wielder.’ 

So that’s what he learned to do: hide the things he’s learned from his family, only to brandish and sharpen his skills when he was alone. Even now he keeps that advice close to heart (though getting him to admit that is another topic entirely).

And if he ever lost it?

Well.

There were always more switchblades out there.

(At least from what he says. But should he find it in someone else’s hands, there’s no doubt he’d steal it back.)
