Four days after Sarah was rescued from the basement, Kim brings a cardboard box labelled Sarah Reese to her hospital room and sets it down on the chair next to her bed.

“We had to take everything from the basement and a few things from the house as evidence,” she explains. “Everything in here belonged to you or the girls, and it’s been processed now, so it’s yours to keep.”

As soon as Kim leaves and it’s just Sarah and her daughters again, she pulls the chair closer, then lifts the lid off the box, completely unprepared for what she’s going to find in there. Resting at the top of the pile, sealed safely in a little plastic bag, is her golden owl necklace, the one her girlfriend at the time had given her just before she started med school. She’d worn it all the way through, and for most of her first year of residency, but somewhere along the way it had been discarded onto the little plate on her nightstand and almost forgotten about.

She doesn’t know what possessed her to put it on again before she went out on the night Crockett took her, but she can remember exactly how it felt to wake the next morning on a mattress in a dimly-lit room, wearing nothing but her underwear, and realising that even her necklace and earrings were gone.

Just had a cute thought about zagreus. Basically after getting to the human world he meets a cute human and he keeps escaping to meet them again. Eventually he gains feelings for them (and them the same) and now he’s breaking out the underworld more often to meet them while everyone in the house of hades and Olympus is making bets on if he’ll confess or the human will.
