Akash&Payal
Akash & Payal
aka Payesh...
Parallel leads Payal & Akash's storyline was added in as a zest. It was like them, fresh air to the intense love saga. It was used correctly and really developed the Arnav & Khushi storyline in a different dimension but attached to Payesh's story. It even connected and created some frustrations for Shyam as well unintentionally.
The two are like sweet and spice roles with their own background music...a pretty soothing one...Hey, Hey...Ho Ho...
In fact, I would love to say that they played an instrumental role in orchestrating Arshi's life together. Payal loved her sister, Khushi... whereas Akaash had a great way of dealing with ASR in his own sweet and calm way. He showed a genuine fondness for Khushi even when things were wrong. I'd love to see him develop a very open brotherly affection for KKG, but CVc did not deliver that.
Before Marriage
Akash is the soft-spoken type and Payal hardly spoke, and all. Arnav & Khushi portrayed passion, whereas CVs initially used Payash to add cuteness to the drama. Akash and Payal didn't really need any words to describe... they both communicated with their eyes as well.
Akash's simple and ordinary looks and Payal's shyness reflected through her eyes were just beautiful touches... they seemed very similar to Arshi are opposites but carried their own incomparable charm!!
The drama at the cliff brought these two together, later Arshi will be on the same cliff but with a whole lot new level of intensity
After Marriage
I would love to see Akash come out of that mummy's boy shell after his marriage and get his act together to be his own man. He did show us some backbone initially, but it went down the drain after a while, and his silence made it difficult for Payal to take her place in that house peacefully, especially with Manorama. A typical sas bahu drama it became. As many characters of IPK lost their originality, Payesh were the same.
Yet, I knew this side of the story showed a typical Indian man who shows no difference from the herd of this imperial men society. Payal and Akash provided a gorgeous contrast to the story before and after marriage. The couple set each other off, and I thought the show underestimated the value they could have with these two as a second lead.
I'm certainly not talking about hour-long stares but some good character development with both. Payal and Akash in the Gupta and Raizada house provided a pivotal benefit to the show. They possibly allowed the hate/love track to be extended more constructively later.
Their relationship felt incomplete to me, leaving me with this thirst to know more...
Forgot to mention
Akash has his fav color, Pink and all the colors belong to the pink family.
Wearing the same here, but seems like it is reflecting a dangerous color for Mamiji🤣

hi, jalebi, hope life is treating you well.I watched your interview with Utkarsh Naithani,it was absolute delight and kind if a tutorial class of story-writting.keep it up and waiting for many more interviews like that. And I got to see your face too😍,which was a sight for sore eyes.
I want your absolute opinion on the fact that do you think that the introduction of kidnapping tract had disrupted the flow of IPKKND and kind of destroyed what the writters had previously had in mind?
thank you.
Thank you so much for the sweet comment <3 Uff, you and your taareef.
Now, regarding to your question;
do you think that the introduction of kidnapping tract had disrupted the flow of IPKKND and kind of destroyed what the writters had previously had in mind?
To be very honest, the introduction of the kidnapping track brought the show back on track - for me. The show started addressing everything that was needed. The circumstance of the marriage. The fact that Arnav wouldn't believe Khushi. The fact that the situation was against Khushi. And that Shyam was upto something, he would take revenge against Arnav.
All the characters and situations were put on a RUDE pause from the end of Holi until the terrace scene (which worked into the kidnapping).
I have, legit, NO idea what the writers had in mind. Because the writers were writing aimless comedy, forgot the weight of the situation. And the months from Holi to Arnav leaving for London had absolutely little sense. It raised FAR too many questions, character rewrites, motivation rewrites, than anything else.
I believe, given the situation Arnav and Khushi was in - nothing would've been able to shift them away from bitterness apart from the fact that they loved each other UNTIL it was, literally, a matter of life and death between the characters.
We got back the telepathy, the hurt. Khushi is no longer a stupid woman trying to get back at the man who holds the reins of her sister's marriage in his hand by annoying him? (WTF was that logic)
Rather she's back to being the intelligent, hurt woman, who painfully knows that if things were fine - he'd never say he loved her.
So what went wrong with the show is not the kidnapping track but how they showed the investigation.
I laughed at them forgetting Khushi is a Raizada. If, let's say Manish Malhotra's relative goes to the police fearing Manish Malhotra's safety. The police is not going to laugh at it. We know how the police treat the elite class. Remember how upon Lavanya Kashyap's (who is not even a Raizada) phone call the police had arrived at Shantivan personally to do an employment check?
Which by the the police don't have to carry out by themselves. Employees submit themselves and police verifies the history and fingerprints. But just because the house was Shantivan - they were ready to do basic duty. Secondly, not everyone in Delhi can just gently hold Delhi Police's hand and escort them out of the house.
Arnav Singh Raizada can.
So, the kidnapping, Khushi's intuition and disbelief over Arnav's confession, her constant panic and the family sending her to Lucknow and even she and Mami getting suspicious of Arnav reaching London or not were BRILLIANTLY done.
And even with Arnav, right. Forced upon this horrific situation he is stripped of his prejudices, fears and doubt. He loves her. She feels strongly for him (she nearly confessed before he left). She wanted his trust.
It was a great way to reset the dynamic between the two.
And FINALLY Shyam is doing something as a villain. He wants everything Arnav owns, everything Arnav has. It starts with his assets and ends with Khushi.
Also Khushi knows Shyam is enough of a horrid man to actually pull something like this off? She's suspicious of him from the START. And we see her dealing with her abuser and the threat of Shyam being under the roof as her.
What went wrong is in the execution of second half of kidnapping track:
Arnav's LIFE is at stake. Just why has she NOT confided in Akash? He's right THERE. Why not in Payal? Just how is the 'ghar ki shanti' more important than the life of the head of the household?
What was the whole stupid James Bond thing with Manorama?
WHY WAS NO ONE UNDERSTANDING THAT A RAIZADA WAS SEEKING HELP?
What was the stupid "let's honeytrap Shyam" plan?
Just why were they doing Tom and Jerry stuffs to trap Shyam?
In short, why did the intelligence just disappear in the execution of this track?
WHY DO BABLI AND MASALA MAMA EXIST? (Honestly, I felt if Akash and Payal had a more relevant, important track the kidnapping track could have felt better than this demon child cause EVERYONE loved Akash Payal).
Actually introduced a really good cameo of a private detective/police inspector who would work in private sensing a bigger threat.
Either way, I have far less issues with the stupid kidnapping track because I got Arnav and Khushi back, and I got Shyam back. The three wheels of the story, their characterization, their plots, were on track.
And this is my absolute opinion of the kidnapping track.
Best,
Jalebi
#ask#hand-picked-star#jalebi's most honest take#I LOVED THE KIDNAPPING TRACK#the idea and introduction of it#they just had the worst execution#cause they got angst back???#but CCTV of Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport is not stored in VHS ffs

IPKKND LIVE BLOG SEASON 1 [Epi 5]
Let'z welocme Shyam today. *sarcasm intended* (-_-) (I know I wrote the wrong spelling by mistake but then I noticed it and thought let it be. Who cares. Shyam himself won't come here to correct me.)
There, I gave you the biggest spoiler of the episode, in advance to ruin your mood.
Heh. I am evil.
Now don't leave without reading it, okay? I do a lot of mehnat into writing these. :')
Come. Let'z begin this then *sighs irritated-ly*
Arnav's manager shows him the live news with the footage, being telecasted in some channel. (Kamlesh Khabri ji, was that yours ? Lol.)
2. Did you-too- wonder about that 'smart' phone, Arnav was holding? Turns out, I could find it.
3. "Aaj ka saajan" Lmao. (Today's lover)
4. Arnav, while watching that clip, being telecasted, flashes back to the line Khushi said last, before leaving. "Devi maiyya ki marzi ke bina koi kuch bhi nahi kar sakta, koi Arnav Singh Raizada bhi nahi." (No one can do anything without Devi-Maiyya's wish, not even some Arnav Singh Raizada.")
5. Basically, he is thinking, that, he has shown her place to 'that girl', who had said that he can't do anything without some 'devi maiyya's wish'.
6. This is clear in his reply to Akash's protest for over paying MR . "Meri beizatti karne ki himmat naa kabhi kisi ne ki hai, naa ab koi karega." (No one, has ever disrespected me, nor anyone would, now, have the guts to.) Oh. So, the problem is your ego issue.
I should have known it. Khushi had the misfortune to meet you and now she is paying the price with her reputation and dignity, being butchered like animal slaughtering. You, a__hole.
7. Khushi and her Amma are getting molested by a bunch of perverts.
8. Babuji tries to stop them, but he gets a hard push, which results in Shashi losing his balance and his head hits a nearby pole.
9. The men are very adamant and one of them tugs at Khushi's dupatta.
10. There. A man, wearing, a beautiful shiny brown pair of office shoes, with a matching pair of trousers, is shown stepping down from somewhere. He starts walking (towards the scene?)
11. A Turquoise bracelet gleaming in his right wrist. (why the fck isn't he wearing his wedding ring?) He is shown from behind some -shops?- He walks upto where babuji had fallen down. He helps him to stand up.
12. Wow. Daiyya Ho! What an entry.
13. Everything aside. Aabhaas looks so fckin handsome in that outfit. Everything. Literally, everything about his look is so freaking perfect. The colour combo of the shirt and pant. The shoes. Oh. God. I am in love with those shoes.
IDK. It's just looks so- fantastic?-deliciously beautiful?- I am simping for those, quite literally. Is it normal for some human to simp on a pair of shoes? Whatever. So. Yeah. I was talking about the look. The flare of the pant, as he walks. His haircut. Like. Wow. Absolutely ravishing.
14. And he starts beating those mfs, one by one.
15. After beating those hooligans. He walks back to Babuji, to check up on him. He tells him to get a band-aid for his cut. Babuji is touched by his words and thanks him for the help.
16. Then, Shyam turns to look at where Amma was standing but is transfixed to see Khushi shyly(hesitantly?) looking at him with tears in her eyes, from behind her Amma, just like any other rom-com film, only that, this isn't any other rom-com film. (the Sitar and Tabla BG score used, here, is so freaking beautiful and also kind of suits him coz it sounds something like wicked and graceful.)
17. We can see, he is caught off guard, by the way, Khushi is looking at him; by her beauty. He realizes her hesitation and picks up her fallen dupatta and offers it to her but Amma takes it back. He might have wanted to talk to her but, before that, he is pulled out of his trance, by babuji and they bid him a goodbye.
Khushi turns back to look at him, one last time. Only that, this isn't the last time, they would be meeting. Alas. Khushi as well as we, don't even have an idea about, the depth, of his obsession with Khushi that, will go, after this moment.
18. Look at the absolute contrast, in the way, they introduced both the anti-hero and the main villain. At this point, half of the audience might have already started shipping Shyam and Khushi.
19. The sequence, at Gomti Sadan, is so freaking emotional. Khushi is, again, getting punished for the crime that she didn't even commit. (Or until they think that she shouldn't have left the house at all.)
20. Even babuji cannot come to forgive her, this time. Garima decides to send, both of them, away to Delhi. Buaji, who always had an over-reaction for every situation, was, a minute ago, shouting at both of them to say or do something, to punish Khushi,(She really likes to see Khushi suffering. Bloody sadist.) is shocked. Lol. "Dilli kauno davaai ki pudhia thori haee, ki ghol ke pilaay dio. Sab theek." (Delhi isn't some bundle of medicines that dissolving it in water and making it drink someone, would cure everything.)
21. The moment she realizes that she has to take both of the girl's responsibility, she spits out the water from her mouth. Lmao. She tries to convince both of them but is not successful. Her discomfort is so visible, as she gets to taste the result of her instigation. LMAO. LMAO. LMAO. Buaji ab maza aaya? Lol.
22. Anjali comes in with a thaali, diya and some incense sticks burning. Arnav is immediately irritated at the sight of his Didi (initially he used to call her 'didi' then he resorted to 'Di').
23. She asks about whether he ever thought about the well-being of 'that girl' before creating such a huge ruckus and Arnav, I think, is caught off guard.
24. We are immediately taken to 'that girl', who is so innocent that she could not even think that her 'woh' had released those 'taswirein'.
25. She vows to find out who was the one to release them.
26. Deepali's foundation was so off, in this scene. (Literally, her face looks so pale.)
27. Payal asks Khushi, in a challenging(or admonishing?) way, that how will she find out, ready to scold her, for even mentioning to do something else, lest it worsens the already messy situation, they are in.
28. Screen cuts to Arnav, still in his thoughts (maybe regretting? Lol. No.) as he comes out of his reverie and says " Soch ke hi toh kiya tha." (It was a thought out move.)
29. Liar. (Liar, pants on fire. Lol.) No. You were not thinking when you ordered for those videos to be released, Arnav. Why are you lying then? Tell your Didi that you did it, in a fit of rage, to show 'someone' that you actually hold a lot of power. Bloody b_stard.
30. Lol. "Ab aap apna yeh 'naari mukti morcha', yahan mat nikaliye, yeh mera office hai." (Now, please don't start your 'Women's Liberation March' here, this is my office.)
31. Lmao. The brother-sister banter is so heart warming and fun to watch :)
32. Both Khushi and Payal reach the office of 'Khabrein 24x7' (News 24x7). Khushi, is nervous, and clutches Payal's hand in fear. Payal understands her distress and smiles victoriously, that now she will be able to convince her sister, to return back to their comfort zone.
33. But, her sister is more courageous than she seems to be. And, true to her nature, she tells Payal to take a seat and walks up to the reception, gulping nervously.
34. She asks to have a word with their company's 'maalik' (owner). But, the receptionist tells her, for that she would have to go to Delhi.
35. After a few minutes of deciding, when she wants to talk, to the receptionist again, she tells her to wait for sometime without paying any attention that she is 'the same girl'.
36. Sometime later, the workers of the office realize that Khushi is that 'TV wali ladki' and they start mocking her and make fun of her situation. They circle her in the center of the office and keep laughing.
37. Payal is disappointed and reduces to tears immediately, she quickly walks up to Khushi but loses the courage to take her out of it, as her feet get frozen, due to the nervous-ness, by all that negative attention, that, they are getting.
38. Khushi noticing, that her sister is getting affected by the mess that they have managed to land into, speaks up. She, while shedding tears, knocks some sense into them. And they are.....umm, immediately regretting it? No realization?
I mean to say that they could have shown them realizing their mistake, like, they could have taken some time? Then, that, 'sorry we were wrong' could have made much more sense. Did you too feel that? No? Only me? Ok. Leave it. (Pata nahi choro.)
39. So. Yeah. They 'feel' sorry immediately. And regret it. But, Khushi does not want their apology. She wants the answers which she had come for. They reveal that they got the orders from the higher authorities ('Woh clippings release karne ke orders upar se aaye the.')
40. Khushi asks who send them those clippings and is unsurprisingly shocked. I know. I don't make sense. But. Let me explain. See. She is so naive, that, she didn't even realize the extent of power and influence that ASR commands.
Just because, she got to 'talk' to him personally, in a fairly public place (The Dargah), without any appointment, in his own office, doesn't mean that he is not 'that' much influential. It's just, he chose to have a conversation about the topic with her. He could have easily ignored her. But, he didn't.
So, my point is, she could not even come to think that only he would be the one, who could do this, even after, getting into a heated argument with 'The ASR'. She had already started treating him like an acquaintance. Like, he is a random normal person, just like her. And, not some Business Tycoon of the Fashion Industry. She had already started treating him like an equal, like a normal person, of her 'status'.
41. So. She's shocked. Screen stops at her face. Precap begins. *quickly pauses it* Spoilers. (Although I had already watched it once earlier *smiles nervously* I am not a hypocrite, okay? I had watched it out of excitement.)Ok. Bye.
P.S. : No P.S. Bye. Have a great day/night ahead. God bless you.

Arshi FF: Best Laid Plans
Author: AnamikaGK
Status: Completed and Available for Purchase on Amazon
Genre: Angst, Romance, Drama
"Keep Reading" to read my two cents on the fic. Major spoilers ahead!
My Two Cents:
Romeo - Juliet meet Arnav - Khushi and learn how it's done in this epic saga of Mafia Romance written with a pen that always gives me the warm fuzzies each time I read it! Seriously, this is one of my comfort reads! <3 <3 <3
Arnav Singh Raizada as a powerful Mafia Lord? Yes please!
Arnav Singh Raizada who is able to break someone's wrist, (without breaking a sweat, might I add) just because they tried to touch Khushi inappropriately? Please and Thanks!
Khushi Ranjan Vaghela returning home for good after three years equals Arnav Singh Raizada pursuing her, relentlessly, much to her consternation. Because Khushi is nothing, if not non-confrontational!
Khushi's devoted brother Akash and Arnav's rivalry aside, Khushi has no delusions to why Arnav is bad news for her. Her father has left behind a legacy of revenge, animosity, and bloodshed. And Khushi has no intentions to add to that list. Or be the reason for either of their deaths.
However, if there is one thing Khushi cannot convince Arnav of, is that she doesn't love him anymore. And since she is the only thing Arnav Singh Raizada has to live for, (after achieving his life goal of avenging his mother that is), Arnav has no intentions of giving her up!
The story-telling is superb, the plot-twists are engaging and the fic/book keeps you hooked to the very end to tell a story of childhood sweethearts who have had it rough. This possessive, brutal, but all heart -when it comes to Khushi- Arnav hooked me in and didn't let go until I read and re-read this story over and over again! Khushi for all her faults, is someone you cannot help but cry for. And yet, her bravery and resilience will leave you in awe!

This is the second and final chapter of this two part short story. I have not read the book by E L James mentioned in the story so I am just using it as reference for a book from which a couple may take ideas to spice up their amorous lives...whether Arnav and Khushi are into those things I cannot say...I would like to credit@phati-sari for the lines "mine..mine..mine" I have picked them straight from her works This Story was meant to be a short, funny OS about the misunderstanding regarding a book Khushi gifts Arnav but I am not sure what it is anymore and how many will read it...but if you do...pls let me know how it was...any feedback will be highly appreciated. There are slightly mature themes and innuendos in the chapter.
Chapter 2 Lost is translation The one with books and ideas
It was the tinkling of her anklets that alerted Arnav to Khushi’s arrival. He turned and the world stopped…everything just stood still and raced simultaneously…his gaze first fell on her feet…the dainty golden sandals and travelled up, taking in the black churidar…She is wearing my colors, was all Arnav could think...his eyes travelled up the all black anarkali and finally landing on her face heavily kohled eyes and a tentative smile on her lips…she was stunning and Arnav was stunned…mine ..mine …mine ...was the mantra in his head....the look of pure unadulterated awe and wonder on Arnav’s face brought a rosy smile on Khushi’s…she fidgeted under the onslaught of his gaze and then took a few steps towards him…they were lost in each other’s eyes…everything around ceased to exist… All coherent thought had left Arnav’s brain…and his unabashed staring and a coy smile made Khushi smile back. As she raised her lowered eyes, their eyes met the and whooosh ... the “Hi” hovering on Arnav’s lips just melted away…he was completely floored by what she had done and how she looked…all his yearnings, hopes and dreams wrapped in a breathtaking obsidian package. The concierge approached and asked Khushi about their reservations and it was her softly spoken "Khushi Kumari Gupta Sigh Raizada” that brought Arnav out of his stunned daze…he loved hearing her name…had loved it from that first day …the “Singh Raizada” marking her as his even at a time when nothing else was making sense these five words always righted his world…
They were led to their table and Arnav pulled out a chair and gestured her to sit with a flick of his eyebrow and a nod. She sat but immediately got up and rushed to do the same for him…it touched something deep in him as he got what she was trying to do…this was her attempt to be a part of his world…how she managed to disarm him each time is something he will never understand but always appreciate…
Finally, they were alone and he had his thundering heartbeat under control he uttered the words he had thought of the moment he saw her
“Hi!” said Arnav with a lopsided grin.
She smiled back with “Hi” of her own
“Khushi …” his voice dropped a few decibels, “yeh rang” he paused echoing words from Akash’s sangeet and she gasped “Hawww” anticipating a backhanded compliment, mouth open, eyes wide with mild outrage.
“Khushi…ye rang to mera hai ..toh tumne kyun pehna”
“Toh..!Hum bhi toh apke hi hain” She said incensed and then realizing that she fell for his ploy gave him a steely stare whose effect was ruined by her smiling eyes.
“Really” asked Arnav with his eyebrow raised and the lopsided grin that never failed to set her nerves on fire.
“Koi shak...” she replied joining in the spirit of the banter.
“Khushi ..ye rang tumpe bahut acha lag raha hai..you are beautiful” he whispered leaning over the table slowly moving his hands towards hers as he continued “tumne isliye pehna because it’s my favorite color” stated Arnav with a cocky grin.
“Nahin, humne isliye pehna kyunki aj hum Arnav Singh Raizada hai” she replied, taking her hands off the table and putting both of them on her waist, elbows bent in what she thought was an ASR imitation.
“WHAT!!!!” blurted Arnav perplexed, all thought of flirting wiped out of his mind.
“What nahin, What the!!!” she replied cheekily.
Arnav sighed and taking her hand in his and asked gently, “Khushi, ye kya kar rahi ho tum?”
“Ap hamare liye itne badal gaye, Arnav ji... sab parampareyin dil se nibhayee, ritee riwaz se sab karne ke liye man gaye, mandir aye, itne tohfe diye humein..toh hum bhi apke liye kuch karna chahte the..agar ap hamare liye itna kuch kar sakte hain to hum bhi aisi mehengi jagah akar dating kar sakte hain” Khushi explained.
“Okay!!! said Arnav a little gobsmakced and then smiled feeling the emotion behind all that has happened today..."So what’s the plan…order karien” he asked opening the menu. Khushi nodded, opened her’s and gestured the waiter to signal that they were ready to order. Noticing her confusion with the menu Arnav was about to offer his help when he hears her tell their waiter to bring in “Number 4, 6 and 8”. Arnav read the dishes corresponding to those numbers and was surprised to see that they were all his favorite dishes and a warm feeling washed over him. She chose an Italian restaurant, a cuisine she is not fond of, and is ordering his favorite food. All his adult life he had been surrounded by family who have loved him, unconditionally …Di, Nani, Mami, Mama, Akash…all of them accept who he is but have never tried to be a part of his world and constantly question him and his tastes… that Khushi was embracing his choices without losing her essence touched him in places he didn’t even know existed in his heart till now…
He was unsettled, he was staggered, overcome with a tide of ....never had anyone gone to so much trouble for him....he was the one who gave surprises to people he cared for...was he blushing...NO...clearing his head with a shake ..he took a sip of water and looked up to Khushi with a teasing smile “So you have done your homework, haan, Italian restaurant, my favorite dishes, aur kya surprises hain Khushi?” he asked, his voice a tad husky and raw
She blushed prettily, then shaking her head to regain composure stared right into his eyes and said in clipped tones “Aranv Singh Raizada ka har kaam perfect hota hai” then falling back into Khushi mode “who kya kehte hain…top notch ..top notch”
Arnav is mesmerized by the tinkling of her jhumkas as she moves her head in sync with her to hand signify a top notch arrangement…and it is top notch…the waiter arrived with their food followed by a bottle of Champagne. Khushi popped the bubbly perfectly, poured it and offered him the flute. He was so engrossed in simply observing her that it took him a moment to accept it and ask, “Tum nahin logi?”
“Haan lenge na, bilkul”
“Khushi tumhe Arnav Singh Raizada banne ki koi zaroorat nahin. Maine woh sab cheezein ki kyunki I don’t have a probem with them, but you don’t have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable… I love you just the way you are…”
Her eyes glisten at the emotion in his voice, “Hum, wo bas apke liye kuch karna chate they, par hum samjhte hain ki aap kya keh rahien hai…waise bhi hum advitiya hain..zyada badalna nahin chahiye” a teasing tint appeared in her stance.
“That’s true…You are unique”
“hawww …ap kab se inti hindi samjhne lag gaye” she asked surprised.
“Ab thoda KKGSR toh main bhi ban hi sakta hoon” he replied smugly and then gesturing towards the forgotten food he asked “shuru karein?” but as she was about to dig in he stopped her, added seasoning to her serving and in response to her startled “What the?!!!” replied gently “Trust me, It will taste better this way,” and her “mmmmmmm” with eyes closed as she savored the first bite was all he needed to feel utter bliss and contentment. Watching her enjoy her food has always been a double edged experience for Arnav, he loves the unabashed joy that lights her up when she eats something she likes and he can just feast on that sight all day but the little moans of appreciation stir another hunger in him, he aches for her, he burns for her…
“Arnav ji”
“Hm!!?”
“Dekh kar hi santushti kar lenge ya khuch khayenge bhi... lijiye na?”
Unable to deny her and unable to look away from her, Arnav ate his food distractedly as she excitedly talks about the upcoming days and tells him about the plans she has made and he just takes her all in, he has had her all to himself after a very long time... his smile broadened with each passing moment and he reaised... He was Happy...
As their table was cleared up Arnav handed over his card to the waiter but Khushi stopped him her hand on his arm, “Nahin!!! hum denge, nyota hamara tha na Arnav ji”
“Khushi, mujhe karne do” and he handed over the card a little anger seeping into his mien.
“Aap aise kaise kar sakte, hum paise de rahe they na” she asked, hurt.
“Biwi ho tum meri, main bhi de raha tha” realizing his tone, Arnav reigned in his anger and softly cajoled “Khushi, it’s the least I could do, aur agar tumhare liye itna imprtnat hai, toh next time you pay”
“Pakka?” She asked, mellowing a little.
“Sure” he replied and then got up to help her out of her chair and they walked out of the restaurant holding hands “Seedhe ghar, ya thoda drive pe chalien?”
“Mmm... apse kuch bat karni hai, toh lambe raste se cahlte hai..drive bhi ho jayegi”
They get into the car and Arnav sees her fumbling with her seat belt and leans over to help…her aroma invades him and he is hit by wave of desire …he looks up to see her eyes reflecting the full force of what they both are feeling…she is ready but he knows with all that he has felt today, it will take just a caress for him to unleash the full force of his longing and he will not be able to stop. So he tries to lighten the heavy expectation floating in the air by muttering
“Ye gadi change karni padegi, iski seat belt hamesha tumhe pareshan karti rehti hai”
“Khabardar!!! ye gari shuru se hamari choti si duniya rahi hai..ap isse hath bhi mat lagaiyega” she warned, turning towards him index finger raised.
“Tabse?” Arnav asked smilingly, eyebrow raised, head titled , his index finger pointing back over his shoulder, reflecting the question but understanding the meaning behind her words and love hidden in them,
“Tabse” Khushi answered with a smile of her own and interlocked their fingers together. He turned towards her, looked down shyly and then back up, "Arnav ji, Chodiye na" he said in a poor imitation of khushi...and then a teasing smile appeared on his face.
"Hamari awaz aisi nahin hai" huffed Khushi in mock affrontry.
"I know" winking at her he started the car. The stopped on a clearing overlooking a ridge which showed a beautiful visual of the city.
“So, kya bat karni thi?” Arnav asked after a while looking over at her
“Who, apne humein choodian di thi aur, phir abhi kuch din pehle bhi itne sare tohfe, toh hum bhi apke liye kuch laye hain, kitaab hai” she said handing over a neatly wrapped, beribboned package.
“Ek aur Car maintenance manual hai, seat belt nahin theek hogi use” he asked, incredulously.
“I just want ki tum jaldi se ghar wapis aa jao, bahut papad belne pad rahein hain, You are all the gifts I need, Khushi”
She leaned over and put her hand on his chest, looked up and whispered coyly “Toh sochiyega ki ye hamare liye gift hai, bahut dhoondne pe mili aisi kitab, isme kafi ache sujhaav hain, agar ap unme se kuch try karenge to humein bahut acha lagega”
“Okaaaay, lemme see” he wrapped his one hand around her and pulled her closer to gently place her head on him and with the other tried to open the wrapping.
“Nahin” Khushi got back up and stopped him “Abhi nahin, ghar jake kholiyega..hum nahin chahte ki ap soche ki hum apko badalna chate hain…bus kuch sujhav hain, unme se jo apko achein lagein ap azamiyega... toh humien bhaut acha lagega, who kya kehte hain… it will spice things up”
Now very intrigued, Arnav couldn’t wait to see what she had chosen for him… “Okay…mmm.. Khushi ..Thanks…for tonight…” he looked down and then back up his throat clogging with the some unnamed feelings about how she had gone out of her comfort zone so he could be comfortable. Something no one had ever done for him.
“Hum samajhte hain, apko kuch kehne ki zaroorat nahin, but agar thank you bolna hi hai toh, please inme se kuch try kijiyega” she urged, pointing towards the book.
“Okay” he started the car and drove towards Laxmi Nagar.
As Khushi got off, this time the seat belt gave her no grief, something she regretted immediately, she turned to wave him off “Bye Arnav Ji, aur ramnchi mat kariyega..ghar jake hi kholna”
“Okaaaaaayyy…bye”
He drove off speeding a little in his hurry to reach home and for a moment decided to open it now but then dropped the idea... he did say he will wait till he was back home and Arnav Singh Raizada was a man of his word.
Arnav ripped open the gift paper as soon as he entered the room and what he saw made him go week in the knees…Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James…”Whaaaat” he is freaked out...he was flabbergasted…
He goes from super excited to super angry and back to thrumming anticipation in a matter of seconds
“She wanted to me try this stuff?”
“How the hell does she know about this book? ”
“She did say, it will be a gift for her”
“Who told her about this book?”
“She said she would like it”
All this yo yoing had him light headed and he thought it best to call her. She picked up the first ring
“Hel…”
“Ye kya kiya tumne? “he interrupted her mid greeting, his voice dangerously low
“Arnav ji, sirf sujhaav they… nahin ache lage to rehne dijiye”
“Aur agar ache lage toh” he asked filled with anticipation
“Mmmm dekha humein pata tha aise ho hi nahin sakta ki apko hamara tohfa pasand na aye” she said in self-congratulatory tone.
“Khushi, tumhe pata hai ki iss book me kya hai” He asked, just to be sure
“Isme pata hone wala kya hai Arnav ji, naam se hi clear hai... aur agar apko nahin samjh aye toh photo bhi toh bani hai…” she replied matter of factly.
“Photo... what photo?” Aranv was enraged that Khushi might have seen something she might not like and then intrigued that she did say she liked it
“Ohho, lagta hai hamare sath reh reh ke apki English khrab ho gayi hai…Fifty shades of Grey, Arnav ji...apke sabhi suits ek hi rang ke hain, toh mujhe laga is book se apko alag alag shades ke ideas mil jayenge…zada rang biranga to ap pasand nahin karenge, isliye bas thoda sa change…bola toh tha it will spice things up”
Arnav was speechless and then just kept on laughing...shoulders shaking, uncontrollably... laughing out loud...something only she had the ability to make him do.
“Isme hanse wali kya bat hai, hum jante hain apka apna fashion hopuse hai par, ap kaha wahan se ideas lete hain... isliye hume apko di ye book..wo mmmm... han inspiration ke liye…aur tie aur suit ki photo toh bani hain uspe..itna simple hai….”
Arnav bit his lips and shook his head to control his mirth and said “OH Yeah!!!... pretty straight forward”
“Aap karenge na” she asked softly, a little unsure...
“Tumne kaha i toh karna hi padega...Saadi ke bat dhekta..saat me decide kargenge...OK?" he replied hopeful, teasing and happy
"Arre wah" Ye theek rahega" she said totally oblivious of the roller coaster Arnav just went through.
"Thanks Khushi …mujhe tumara gift, aur aj ki ye sham dono bahut pasand aye…”
She smiles into her phone and he sense that she is about to say something so he adds
“Ab so jao..kal sangeet me milte hai…good night and Khushi..”
“Hmm”
“I will wear some shade of grey as a gift for you…” he promised smiling wickedly imagining the fun he will have teasing her sometime far away or may not so far in future about the suggestions she wanted him to implement
She smiled and went to sleep with dreams of a Arnav who was happy because of her.
He stayed awake smiling whole night, he couldn’t wait to start the rest of his life…with his wife.

IPK Rewatch: Ep 04; who writes our fates?
The episodes picks up from where we had left off previously, with a frantic and impulsive Khushi running behind the ASR, making him stop. With today's episode, we start the journey into the first two promos of the show. (The promo with Khushi saying she makes her own clothes and people matter more than money whilst ASR priorities appearances, and the second one posted in the very first post.)
The biggest divide between the two has not been their lifestyles, but their moral code, their beliefs. Khushi blends with the Raizadas very well especially Anjali and Nani which lets us believe that Khushi might have gotten along with Ratna quite well as well. Khushi stands steadfast in front of Arnav and his look of intimidation. This is one of the very few times where when he moves forward, she doesn't take a step back. It's also representative of in my opinion, of what he refuses to budge against. Her beliefs and her self-respect is something she wouldn't be intimidated easily from.
Arnav's "kya kiya main ne?" is insightful of his cheekiness, his entitlement, and reeking arrogance. The thing is, that the person who asks her this questions wasn't ASR, it was Arnav switching in and out of his persona with Khushi, and Arnav will be regretting the realisation - and the effect Khushi has on him that makes him switch between his personas as much.
I also love Khushi's sandals slipping out of her feet, specifically I think the left feet concisely as she walked behind him, ran behind him and then away from him. Khushi's path towards Arnav is filled with pain. It's often observed that and bare left feet means awaiting sorrow and that does seem to be the case for Khushi at least. If Arnav is restless at him not seeing Khushi on occasions later onwards, then Khushi looks for excuses to be around him while denying that she does so, to see him.
What I think pisses Arnav off is that while Khushi points at his arrogance, and his attitude of getting his way or creating terrible circumstances when he doesn't get his own way, whatever happened between them was not solely him. We see this belief translating into her conversation with Payal later when she points at everything happening for a reason. She remarks at Arnav as well that even the decisions he thinks he is making for himself are being taken by him because of how Devi Mayyian is guiding him. She remarks at his lack of gratitude instead of affirming that he has accomplished everything on his own.
However Arnav is quick to respond with a classic comeback, of pain wouldn't be existing if God was present. The exchange on pain, and God providing us with aids to heal the pain is a classic exchange between someone who finds themselves aligned to religion because it has been their biggest source of comfort , and someone who decides to move away from everything as a reactionary. Whilst Arnav had behavioural issues growing up even when his parents were alive, it is Arnav's displeasure with everything that his family stood for which make it easy for him to embrace everything opposite of what they believe in.
Before the last sentences exchanged between the two, he tells her to not come in his way again. Coincidentally, the next time they meet one another is when she collides with his car!
Khushi's last words to him echo within him that no one is in control besides Devi Mayyian. Not even Arnav Singh Raizada and this starts the cat and mouse challenges between them. To show whose in-charge, he makes sure the clip of a girl like him, in arms of a man like him is circulated to all news channel. Oh Arnav bitwa, if only you hadn't! If only! - it's funny that this one action of his sends the person already living with the Raizadas to save this girl whose clearly been caused distress because of Arnav/Saale Sahib
Absolutely love Khushi and Payal's bond with their conversation. I sorely missed their little banters, and moments of assurance after their wedding.
One of the few lines I loved in this interaction was Payal asking where did the pearls disappear, and if a crow took them away. kawa udda le gaya kya? crows are insightful, curious, misunderstood creatures. They symbolises magic, transformation, and change. There is also a common superstition that arrival of crows means arrival of a guest. The reason for adverse transformation awaiting Khushi's life is the one who took those pearls away. That person, earlier in the day made sure that the change would shake Khushi's life.
It is after this Khushi berates Arnav Singh Raizada. She refers to him as Laad Governor for the first tike in front of Payal. Not many people are aware of this name which later turns into a term of endearment but Payal before Akash is privy to these change in Khushi's life. Payal is also one of the few people to be able to differentiate between Khushi being Khushi, or Khushi lying. In telling about the encounter earlier, I love how she calls her to-be husband whose a diabetic, barfi ka tukra! how ironic. Barfi in general is made from sweet condensed milk which is a symbol of fertility. That is what Arnav is for his family and loved ones. He takes on the responsibility of being a provider, of being a protector. Correlation of people with food plays an important role in the show throughout. It also reflects Khushi's unconscious feelings about that person. For now, Arnav has made a spot in her heart for himself without intending to and Khushi has willingly given him that space just for the ruckus he's caused. With Payal's clarification of her being upset at a partner like Abhishek, Khushi isn't doesn't necessarily blame Arnav either this point forward. She blames herself for taking on the responsibility and leaving without informing others. This is a streak within Khushi where her insecurities of being overtly impulsive rise. Later she doesn't blame Arnav for misunderstanding Shyam and her. She blames herself for not sharing the information with him.
In contrast to the scene between the sisters, we finally see the brothers interact with one another. Clearly there is a comfort level between the two and an easy, playful, camaraderie. We see Arnav yelling at someone for minor mistakes and it's established Arnav striving for perfectionism is reflective of his need for control at all times.
I love how Akash after sharing about the photographer stopping the shoot says "aab toh usse koi nahi bacha sakta" and the scene cuts to Khushi saying she has her Devi Mayyian. Devi Mayyian does protect Khushi from everyone but Arnav, however it's Arnav as Khushi says who eventually ends up needing Devi Mayyian's favourite child to be his saviour when he's kidnapped. It's also him who bows in front of Khushi instead of the other way around.
Roop Suhana Lagta hai is Payal's song. I think with both the sisters' and brothers' scene running parallel, the song provides an insight into what lays the foundation for Payal's relationship alongside Khushi's. After all, Akash ji loses his heart in first sight.
The mother daughter finally unite after Khushi urging Amma to call her, her daughter. I am pretty sure laho peti ho roughly means sucking the life/blood out of someone, and Khushi can often inadvertently become a reason for the Guptas to find themselves exhausted. However all is well when Khushi exercises her right over Garima and Garima admitting the same.
Shashi walks in, into the reunion of mothers and daughters and we get an insight into how wonderfully happy this small family is together. This is in quite contrast to what we will eventually see with Raizadas whose happiness appears to be a facade threatening to break until the arrival of their bahus into their house and the exit of their damad who had been holding everyone together.
Later Khushi gets called out by Shashi as they leave the house and Bua ji back home. Bua ji doubling down on Khushi is a common theme all throughout. As much as she adores her, she also makes sure ti be equally tough on her. I think one of the reason her harshness is more prominent with Khushi is because how obedient Payal is. Payal is the perfect daughter, Guptas could've imagined where as Khushi is chutki, Sanka-devi, a bit spoilt, given leeway to help outside with her father, and allowed to be rude to others on occasion which the youngest of the households get the reigns to be. Garima allowing Khushi to run her mouth with kaka ji later gives us a peek into that. I absolutely love that!
We finally meet the deva-esque photographer who clearly has no idea who he is dealing with however the way few people talk to Arnav despite how he forces people to perceive him shows us that Arnav is indeed someone new to the industry whose been fortunate enough to get amazing success. If ASR is really who he lets us believe he is, there wouldn't have been payment issues. He would've also fired the person and gotten a replacement in an instant however Arnav settles by humiliating the man working for him.
the photographer here is unhappy with his payment plans.> I think these were suppose to allude to the past that they ended up changing in the narrative later so technically me decoding it is useless. The person who is aware of the entire truth is unhappy with the lack of their truth being acknowledged.
kis kheeth ka gajr hai > how are you so prosperous? the mysterious persona makes a comeback and begs how the Maliks who wronged others. had their children prosper despite being driven out of their homes.
mooli hai, not gajar > mooli or radish’s symbolise quarrel and the former narrative, that the show changed later onwards was about the big quarrel between Chacha ji and Malik Sr. Carrots on the other hand symbolise prosperity and happiness within family. Whatever happened in the past would’ve included facades of happiness but we all know now to some extent that the brothers were quarrelling, the heir to the house was thrown out and ASR is the repersonaification of that spiteful younger Malik son. These interpretations do not matter as much now as they wiped off Shyam’s backstory and Chacha ji later because of fans’ demand to not separate the couple on the wedding day but goddammit what a fruitful foundation they laid! Carrots also symbolise end goal. ASR thinks he’s met the lifelong, he’s put the past away. Now that is far from the truth because the true past comes in form of Khushi. Just when he didn’t expect it, the truth pushes him just like how just as he opened his eyes, Khushi (his happiness) fell into his arms.
jis uchai par mein kada hoon wahan kutton ke bohnkne ke awaz nahi pohonchti > ASR is a rising name of the industry and he's reminding the photographer to not forget how he could potentially change the entire field. I think this is decoding of the tracks being laid out. ASR loses to Khushi, but Arnav wins until Khushi is ready to accept ASR's win. It can indicate how unbothered Arnav is as long as the cost of anything changes into his success. The juxtaposition between wins and loses of ASR and Arnav with Khushi are incredibly important. ASR never falls for Khushi until after Lavanya and after coming back from kidnapping. However, it’s Arnav (Arnav Malik) who falls for Khushi for the first moment, whose love surpasses condition despite laying them.
asli aukat > too many people today have tried telling ASR his aukat today , but really what is his aukat. what was going to be his place in the past?
discount ka kam > Akash's expressions and eyes dart towards Arnav at the term discount being used.
The man doesn't receive a slap, a full palm slap until he brings up Arnav's mother. 50,000 signifies the failing of totality and inability to excel in destiny however the 20 Million for the slaps signify that ultimately, regardless of the past, the duality of forces of love will strengthen Arnav's position enough to be able to make sure that the narrative sways in his favour. the twice 4 zeros are also numbers which hold the spiritual power of bringing soulmates who are twin flames together. And we all know, that with Khushi by Arnav's side, the past that we eventually find out about removes the stain from Garima's reputation and frees Anjali of the man who had been using her as a pawn.
The episodes ends with a relative calling Gotmi Sadan to inform Shashi about the news which is a call picked up by Bua ji. Bua ji saying that yahan toh yeh pora ka pora baghicha khila de rahi adds a perfect layer of how Khushi's encounter with Arnav leads the girls of Gupta house to their eventual rajkummars.
In the market, Khushi has become the talk of the town with people readily able to identify her. An exciting journey awaits us as the next player of this game joins us in the next episode.

Khushi opens her eyes with great struggle... She doesn't want to wake up but all those shouting was making it hard for her to sleep. She just wants to snuggle a little longer... But...
"No excuse Aman! "
Kushi sat up on her bed suddenly.... searching for the source of the fierce sound.
There stands Arnav Singh Raizada speaking to phone and checking his files.
"11:30 that's your deadline! " He hangs the phone and throws the file on to the table.
" What happened Arnav ji? Why are you shouting at Aman this early? " When Khushi tries to stand up, she feels dizzy and sits on the bed.
Arnav get concerned and sits beside her
" Are you okay Khushi? What happened " Cupping Khushi's face in his hands.
"I am fine Arnavji... I felt dizzy when I stood up suddenly. Now I am okay" assured Khushi.
"You should be careful right! " Arnav reminds her with full of concern.
"Why were you shouting this early" asked Khushi.
"Oh, That reminds me I need to go to the office now, there is an important meeting". Arnav stands to put on his suit.
"What! This early? " asked Khushi.
"Khushi.. It's already 9:15 am ...Nowadays you sleep like a bull" teased Arnav while collecting his files.
"What!!! Why didn't you wake me up... now everyone will think that I am turning into a lazy daughter in law" Khushi hurries to the bathroom. " Khushi.. " calls Arnav before leaving to the office.
Khushi stops to listen.
"Stop eating too much jalebi... you've put some weight.. and too much sugar is bad for your health. Bye" Arnav left and Khushi stood there checking herself...
"What !! Did I gain weight? Devi mayya!!!! "
That's when she heard Mami calling her...
"Coming mami!!!! " She rushed to get ready.
*******
Everyone is having breakfast when Khushi joins them.
"Khushi bhittiye... Today also you wake up late...Are you okay?" Enquired Dhadhi
"Don't know Dhadhi.. Arnav ji also didn't wake me " replied Khushi disappointedly.
"It's okay Khushi You have some food with all of us," said Ajali di showing her, her seat.
NK serves Khushi food. Khushi takes a bite but she doesn't eat any further.
"Khushi ji... Why are you not eating any food "
Asked NK, which drew everyone's attention.
"I am not feeling to eat anything..... " said Khushi.
That's when Ajali di's phone rang.
"What happened chotte? Why are you calling me now? "
"Di.. Did Khushi eat any food"
"No chotte.. She says don't feel like eating anything! "
"How can she say like that, Recently she is not doing anything properly... Make her eat something or else when I get back she will be in great trouble. Talk to you later I am in a meeting"
"Okay chottay " Anjali di hangs the phone.
"Khushi you better eat something Chotte is very angry!" warns Khushi.
"Alright, I will eat something else ". Khushi goes to the kitchen. She finds some gelebi there and eats it fully.
Later, when everyone was preparing for pooja in the living room... Khushi was not feeling well...
Suddenly, she rushed to the bathroom to throw up.
Payal came to the washroom to help her get cleaned up.
Later Khushi was laying in her bed and the whole Raizada family was around her, everyone was concerned for her health.
"What happened to Bhatti sari...." Enquired mami with concern.
Akash was also there since he came back from his business trip.
"Khushi Ji doctor will be here in any minute"
"I am fine Akash Ji, no need to call the doctor!"
"If I don't call bhaay will kill me." Akash's phone rang and it was Arnav calling. He took the phone.
"Akash you reached home? How was the meeting "
"It was okay bhaay " Akash said with less enthusiasm.
"Why you sound disappointed? Everything alright?"
"That...Khushi Ji threw up and she is not feeling well" said Akash in one single breath.
Even though the whole family was asking him to not say that, he didn't understand it.
"What! Did you call the doctor? How is she? Did she eat jalebi again? She won't listen to anything that I say!"
Arnav was burning with anger.
That's when doctor came and started checking Khushi .
"Bhaay Relax, Doctor came. I will inform you if anything is there."
"Okay there is one more meeting after that I am coming home"
Everyone was waiting for the doctor to speak. Khushi was laying on the bed. Ajali and Payal was sitting beside her.
"Nothing to worry about. It's quite usual at this period " said the doctor with a small smile.
Everyone was having an incredulous expression, including Khushi.
"Doctor did she threw up because she had too much jalebi ?" Enquired Dhadhi with great concern.
Doctor chuckled.
" No... She threw up because of Arnav" the doctor said playfully.
"What! Did chotte beat you? Did he scold you Khushi?" asked Anjali worriedly.
"No didi. Arnav Ji didn't do anything!" assured Khushi.
"It's because of Arnav's deeds Khushi is in this state! " Doctor said with a smile.
"We don't get it, doctor," said Akash.
"Arnav is going to be a father. Kushi is pregnant. Congratulations."
Everyone started to scream, laugh they don't know how to express their joy.
Khushi was blushing hardly and couldn't look at anyone. Ajali was hugging and teasing Khushi at the same time.
After the doctor left, Akash informed everyone that Arnav will reach home within no time.
And they all planned to prank Arnav.
******
When Arnav reached in front of his room the whole family was standing in a line with angry face except Khushi.
"Where is Khushi? How is she? What did the doctor tell? Is she alright? Why are you all looking at me like that?" asked Arnav without missing a beat.
"Because of you, Arnav bhitttuva, Khushi's health is not okay," said Dhadhi with a stern face.
"Me? What did I do?" Arnav didn't understand anything.
"Khushi is inside, ask yourself Chotte?" said Anjali copying Dhadh's expression.
"Everyone is mad". He opened the door and sat near Khushi.
"How much time should I tell you not to eat too much jalebi? You won't listen to me, right? And why is it everyone blaming me for your vomiting?" Arnav waited for her reply. But she was blushing and couldn't even look at him.
" Khushi speak up!" Arnav moved towards her and cupped her face. Khushi looked into Arnav's eyes, it was filled with concern. She took Arnav's hand and kept it on her belly, Arnav watched Khushi's action without having any clue about what was happening.
" Arnav Ji, you are going to be a father "
Arnav froze. He couldn't believe what he heard.
" What?" He asked in a low voice.
"A small Arnav is growing inside me "
Arnav knew it was the most beautiful moment in his life. At that time he pictured himself playing with a small baby. His eyes filled with tears and at the same time, he started smiling. Khushi too started smiling. Arnav pulled Khushi to him and kissed her passionately on the lips. He poured all his happiness into that kiss and he looked at her.
"I am going to be a father!" Arnav said half crying.
Khushi too started crying with happiness, she nodded. When they both calmed down Arnav kissed Khushi's cheek and told
" Now I know what I did!".

Hey Jalebi
How are you?
Hope all's well🤗
Your blog is one of my favorite places on the internet and I keep reading a lot of your old posts, especially your fanfics! They're all so beautifully written and I can't wait for you to complete them (ofcourse no pressure)🫶
My ask is, if you had a theory as to why NK called Arnav Nannav and how their relationship during childhood was, what would it be ? I love your perspective on the shows and thank you for all the wonderful posts❤️
Hi!
I'm doing well!
There's actually an in-canon explanation as to why NK calls Arnav as Nannav. In episode 283, when NK notices that Khushi is extremely tensed, NK shares that Arnav couldn't pronounce his own name during childhood.
Arnav would call himself as 'Nannav' - and of course Arnav grows over it and everyone else does as well, except NK. The perfect Arnav Singh Raizada couldn't even pronounce his own name! It's the last thing NK could ever forget.
I do feel NK has the softest spot for Arnav, but I also see very well that he does not really put Arnav on a pedestal unlike Arnav's family. Why should he? Arnav is his cousin's cousin!
So I think NK is the only one who sees Arnav for who he is - an arrogant, bratty guy who grew up too quick and needs a push in the right direction when needed.
(NK views Arnav far more as an equal than Akash ever does. Cause of course, Arnav is not the head of his household and holds no influence in his life. He's unfazed by Arnav's outbursts simply because NK knows it's Arnav's fault if he is angry, and he pretty much knows Arnav well enough to exactly know which buttons to push, and which not).
NK feels like the cousin who would irritate Arnav enough out of his room just so Arnav actually leaves his house and goes on a bike ride outside (which Arnav enjoys but wouldn't tell Arnav about).
But NK would never, ever talk with Arnav about the things that truly hurt Arnav. Never about his parents. Never about his broken engagement.
But flirting with the girl his cousin seems to like?
Why not? Especially when the said cousin can't seem to get a word out of his mouth? Lol.
During childhood, Arnav would hate NK would never shut up, but also never fall prey to his pranks (unlike Akash). NK would terrify Arnav with his genuine over happy state of existence while also being smart. It's kinda like NK doesn't want to think much, hence the himbo energy.
Lol.
Best,
Jalebi
#ask#anon#about NK#about arnav#mad cousins#lol but they're cute#NK would be getting all the love tbh

Hey! Firstly, I loved all your works. But Rishta has been my absolute favourite. I have read this FF multiple times and each time I get awestruck by this amazing creation. I had one question about IPKKND ek jashn. The one scene where Akash tells Arnav that Khushi wants to talk to him about babies, later they didn’t disclose that. I wanted to know about your perception about that. Hope this isn’t too much. Keep up with the good work. God bless you.
Hello!
Thanks for reading my stories, I’m glad you like RISHTAA :D
Everything about Ek Jashn is here and here, but just quickly in regard to the whole ‘Khushi wants to talk about children’, I firmly believe it was a hook to gain audiences for something they’d planned to follow.
I think EJ was the channel’s way of dipping their toe in the water to see what appetite audiences had for a sequel, but they grossly miscalculated and assumed that everyone was watching for Barun Sobti as Arnav Singh Raizada. From a marketing point of view, it went about as well as a brick trying to swim, and they’re back to the drawing board on that one.

SS: Homebound {Ch: 2}
The heavy sheet of silence that filled the hall was broken when the group of doctors, led by Dr. Patel, finally came out of the operation theater. The Guptas and Raizadas stood up in unison at their sight, apprehension written across every face.
“Doctor Saab, how is everything?” Nani asks, holding Anjali’s hand.
Doctor Patel smiles, “The operation was successful. She is resting now. It may take her a couple of hours to fully regain consciousness, however,”
They nod in understanding, all exhausted from the lack of sleep. The operation had taken well over five hours, the present time being the middle of the night. A sense of relief washes over the atmosphere at the knowledge of Khushi’s safety.
Arnav lets go of the breath he had been holding, running a hand through his hair. His usually perfectly ironed shirt is now wrinkled, his waistcoat no longer buttoned. Meticulously gelled strands of hair now fall to his forehead in a disheveled mess, the contours of his face strained with evident stress. The past few hours for him had been spent rushing around to take care of anything needed for NK and Khushi’s recoveries, calling Aman in order to inform him that he won’t be able to make it to work, along with hoping the operation went well without complications. He may be an athiest to the world but this time, just this once, he rested his faith in the Almighty’s hands for her well being with all his heart.
“Chote, you need rest,”
“I’m fine Di,” He retorts, silencing his sister effectively. Turning to everyone else, he says, “You guys should go home and get some sleep. Khushi will be up by the morning as well, that’ll be the best time for everyone to come see her,”
“And you, Bhai?” Akash asks.
“I’ll stay here just in case,”
Unseen by anyone else, Nani and Anjali exchange secretive smiles at their Chote’s statement.
“Jaisi Nandakisore ki ichcha,” (Whatever God wishes) Buaji raises her hands in the air slightly in prayer.
“Theek hai beta, apna khayal rakhna,” (Okay son, take care of yourself) Garima replies, to which Arnav nods assuringly.
Arnav then turns to Akash.
“Akash, I-”
“Don’t worry Bhai, I’ll handle everything at work,” He answers, sensing what his brother would ask beforehand.
“Thanks. Also, take care of Payal. This must be hard for her,” Arnav says, looking over to see Payal’s tear streaked cheeks.
Akash lets out a deep sigh, pained to see his fiance so troubled, “I will.”
“Akash ji, why don’t I stay here with Arnav ji?” Payal suddenly asks, reluctant to leave.
“You need to sleep Payal ji,” Akash says, trying to persuade her. Sensing Payal’s hesitation, Arnav steps in.
“You care about Khushi right?”
Payal nods instinctively, wondering what kind of question that is.
“Then you need to get some rest, in order to take care of your sister just like you wish to. You need to take care of yourself first,”
Payal gives a soft smile through her tears, making sense of her brother in law’s wise words. Akash nods in agreement, admiring Arnav for the way he always seems to handle situations with such ease.
The families start to disperse together after saying their goodbyes to Arnav and to NK, who was still lying on a patient’s bed with a cast around his leg. After talking with him for a while, Arnav leaves NK’s room to let him sleep. The vast halls of this wing in the hospital fall quiet with the passing minutes, apart from the occasional nurses or doctors going from room to room to check up on different patients.
It has now been well over two hours since the families had left. Arnav sits still on the visitors bench, his eyelids heavy yet evaded from sleep. A part of him wishes for Khushi to get ample rest but the other wants her to wake up already so he can hold her, so he can yell at her for not being more careful on the road, so he can tell her just how much this has scared him.
Arnav Singh Raizada, the ruthless business tycoon who did not fear a single thing on the planet, has now been reduced to a prisoner to his own fragile heart. The prospect of loss has hit him hard in his past, returning to haunt him in the present with the knowledge of this accident. Never had he imagined that the fear of loss would gravitate towards the one girl who has never failed to question his character, to challenge his motives, to judge the entire basis of his life.
Never had he imagined that he, would one day fear losing that same girl.
As if in a trance, his feet lead him towards the room she lay inside, blissfully unaware of it all. An inexplicable pain surges through him at the sight of her on the hospital bed, surrounded by medical machines, the side of her head covered with bandage. Her body is covered with a monochrome, light blue blanket. It is eerily quiet, he realizes, as he remembers that he has never been in a room with her not blabbering about. And now, when he yearns to hear her voice, she stays silent. The depth of it all takes him aback, as he pulls a chair towards her bed, sitting.
Why did she make him feel this way, damn it? Why?
Arnav’s gaze falls on her when all of a sudden, her hand twitches. His senses become alarmed when she starts moving her head from side to side, as if experiencing a nightmare. Whimpers leave her cold lips and he finds himself moving as close as possible to her, his hand going to her hair in soft strokes.
“Shhh…”
Khushi responds to his gentle croons, relaxing under his touch. Her body sinks back, falling unconscious instantly once again.
Pain. Pounding pain was the first sensation she had felt when her consciousness returned slowly but surely. When she tried to move she felt entrapped and helpless, tied down. Opening her eyes she hisses at the soft morning light that seem to pierce her vision with its brightness.
Hey Devi Maiyya…
With a call to her strength she adjusts to her vision, realizing that she is laying on a hospital bed. Before any recollections can come to her, she feels a certain warmth in her right hand. When she lowers her gaze to see, the sight leaves her stirred.
Her Arnav ji’s sleeping face lay resting on the side of her bed while his hand is entwined with hers.
