Okok so I finished Deltarune Chapter 1, began Deltarune Chapter 2 but stopped because my PC stopped working, played The Diner and Mushroom Oasis, played John Doe and I'm hopin to play the House Hunted games, got like 1 ending from It's Not Me It's My Basement, attempted to play Hungry Lamu but it wouldn't work, I GOTTA MAKE A LIST BRO

is akano a “yandere” like everyone says? most posts about him is him being a yandere and im not sure if it’s true lol

Akano is not a yandere, but I admit I portrayed his character poorly in The Diner because he was still very new to me. He is obsessed with seeing blood, not so much the person themselves. I hope that the upcoming remake 'That New Diner' will portray him more accurately to the way I see him! I have no issue with people imagining him as a yandere though, it's an attractive trope and I want people to be able to bond with my characters! :]

is Alva in the game?

Unfortunately, as Alva was only intended to be an easter egg for my friends in the original game, I saw no place for her in That New Diner (trust me, I really tried to find a way to make her fit!!). But she still exists in the game as a very small cameo. My reasoning for removing her as a character is because she is Akano's girlfriend in my separate OC story, and I wanted players of That New Diner to be able to enter possible romantic relationships with Akano. He can't do this if he has a girlfriend in-game, he is loyal!!!

Will we be getting more artwork of them after the game is finished?

1. Akano is definitely the favourite child when it comes to content, but I think my fave is actually Alva! She's my oldest OC (that hasn't been retired) and is the main character in my main OC story, but not That New Diner. That game is Akano's spotlight!!

2. Hmm least fave is tricky!! Least fave to draw is Maddox because I just really struggle drawing him for some reason haha, maybe because he's more masculine and I'm not really good at that (at least I didn't used to be, maybe I'll try again). Least fave in general hmmm idk!! Maybe Amelia. She just has a very lazy design and I don't like the name I gave her. Maybe she will get a rework one day.

3. Yeah I wanna draw my OCs so much more!! A couple of my OCs do cameo very briefly in the game so that'll inspire me to draw them more. I think it just depends how the game is received, if people don't like it then I'll probably just crawl into a hole for a little bit lol

I think he had been too deep in his grief to maintain those kind of relationships, Alva was his first proper relationship.

There's sooo much stuff I wanna make but no money to produce it!! I currently have an Akano keychain and wood pin available, but I have a design for a shaker charm based on the new game, as well as various other ideas. It really just depends on how this new game is received, if it get a lot of traction I may be able to fund things like plushies (this is the dream!!). I'd love to make merch of Chris (pink haired lady) who appears in the new game, too, but she's a minor character despite my love for her </3

Did Kaori ever really care for Akano? And since you mentioned that the game will be delving into Akano’s backstory does that mean we will perhaps get to see her?

Kaori did love Akano, but it was very twisted. She was manipulative and selfish before anything else, and would use him for her personal gain before she showed any care for him. If other kids were giving him trouble at school, she would be protective of him despite treating him similarly when they were at home. It was kind of an "I can be bad to him, but you can't" kind of thing. That's not to say she was never loving towards him, they had plenty of caring moments (which is why he loved her so much) but when it was bad, it was very bad.

And yes, you can see a bit of her in the game ;]

was the diners popularity a shock to u at first? also did the fans make you develop the new game?

It was definitely a shock, but I loved it. One day my notifications started to blow up and I got DM that a popular youtuber (Gloom) had played my game. As a 15 year old at the time, I was super excited!! Especially considering I only intended The Diner to be played by my 3 close friends. I'm forever grateful for all the people I got to meet and opportunities I got because of this game. As for the remake, over the years people kept asking me for a sequel but I just didn't see a way to continue Akano's story beyond the events of The Diner (believe me, I tried many many times to write a new game). I decided that if the people want more of Akano, I'd just have to beef up the original game! Making That New Diner was my idea and didn't feel forced at all, unlike the sequels I tried to write. "You can't force an artist to work", or something.
