(Yousei Teikoku; Fairy Empire)
Song: “D” chronicle
Album: SHADOW CORPS[e]
Year: 2015
Kirisame no koboreru dangai kokemusu tou no ue
Hitobito ni osore rareshi ryuu ga sumu
Light rain falls above the cliff, on top of the mossy tower
there lived a dragon, feared by the humans
Kenrouna hito wo yosetsukenu tsumetai tetsu tobira
Ikue ni mo makitsuita kusari ga shibaru
One brave man approached the solid, cold steel door
which was repeatedly tied with chains
Moesakaru hitomi
Tsuigeki no tsubasa
Shikkoku no uroko
Chi no nijimu kagitsume
Burning eyes
Wings of pursuit
Jet-black scales
Claws drenched in blood
Todoroku raimei chi wo saku inanaki
Yami ni tatsu
Roaring thunder, a howl that splits the earth
It rose from the darkness
Hametsu no kaze
Shakunetsu no yuki
Ushinawa reshi ryuu no namida
Konton no hi
Zetsubou no shisha
Touketsu no ibuki wo matou
The wind of destruction
The blazing snow
The tears of the lost dragon
The fire of chaos
The messenger of despair
clad in a frozen breath
Gake wo ori murabito wo sarau inishie no ryuu ni
Hitobito wa nasusube mo naku nigemadou
The villagers from the valley where abducted by the ancient dragon
The people would do anything to escape
Kanashimi ga uzumaita mura wo urei wakamono wa
Sadness whirled through the village, and one young man
left the place with eyes full of determination
Hikari yadosu hitomi
Tamahagane no tsurugi
Koutetsu no yoroi
Kiba wo mo kudaku tate
Eyes that harbor light
Sword of Japanese steel
Armor of steel
A shield that even breaks fangs
Migite ni uzuku wa hikari no monshou
Yami wo tatsu
With the crest of light aching in his right hand
He cuts off the darkness
Kyomu no hirameki
Kakusei no toki
Hikidasu wa hikari no chikara
Shin'en no ya
Seinaru inori
Katezu tomo sadame ni idomu
A glimpse of the void
At the time of awakening
Drawing out the power of light
The arrow of the abyss
The holy prayers
Challenging fate not knowing if he would win
Hikarutsurugi ni ishiki wo atsume ryuu no touki wo mi ni abiru
Nigiri naoshita tsurugi wo kamae ryuu ni mukatte hishou suru
Hajika reta tsurugi saido kazashite akaku moeru me ni tsukisashita
Hikari to yami ga hajikeru
The shining sword regained his consciousness as the dragon bathed in willpower
With his sword back in his hands he stood prepared, the dragon flew toward him
Raising his damaged sword again, he thrust the sword in the burning red eyes
Light and darkness break apart
Moesakaru hitomi

Shukumei no tatakai wa shi wo tsugeru
Seisen to yoba reshi tsui no chronicle
This battle of destiny tells about death
At the end of the chronicle, it is referred to as the ‘Holy War’
Translators’ Note:
Talking about starting your album with a bang. The “Dragon” chronicle introduces the first beast that comes from the darkness. Later on this monster will be followed by ghosts, werewolves, zombies and your own mind, the scariest of them all. You could’t start an album better. Actually you can, but for this particular album it was the best lead, the best song to introduce the new Yousei Teikoku.
