"It's essential to— to put your fingers in deep," Wille said shakily, and Simon could only hear him over the sound of the spinning pottery wheel because he was wrapped around Wille from behind, chin tucked over his shoulder. 

Simon hummed, “That’s right, just like I taught you,” and bit at the soft skin of Wille’s neck, loving the way he could feel the rapid pulse there, loving how eager Wille was to please him, even under Simon’s relentless touches. 

What was meant to be an encouraging press of Simon’s palm into Wille’s groin instead pulled a surprised, broken off moan from the man, and his hands faltered on the wet clay, denting the lovely vase he’d been working on. 

��Oh, love,” Simon cooed sympathetically, rubbing his free hand soothingly over Wille’s tensed stomach. “And you were doing so well. Now you’ll have to start over.”

Wille whimpered and sagged back into Simon, hips rocking forward into Simon’s other hand, searching for more. 

To be truthful, it was a bit unfair. If Wille were touching him like this, even Simon would have a hard time making a simple vase. Nonetheless, they had a deal, so Simon lifted both hands away, pulling a beautifully desperate whine of protest from Wille’s lips. 

“Simon, please, I’m so—” 

“Baby,” Simon interrupted sternly, mouth pressed right against Wille’s ear, “you prove to me that you paid attention in all my lessons, then I’ll bend you over the workbench and fuck you like I know you want me to.” 

He placed both hands back on Wille, earning another half-muffled moan. Oh, how he loved to hear such sounds.

“I’ll keep touching you,” Simon mumbled, shifting forward on his own stool to press his front more firmly against Wille, to show him just how much this was killing Simon, too, “but I need you to finish that vase. Can you do that for me, pretty boy?”

Wilmon AU in which Wille gets so drunk during a party that he ends up crying when Simon kisses him because he's so into him but he also knows he has a boyfriend and he feels like a jerk for cheating on him with gorgeous Simon

Simon – aka Wille's boyfriend - will laugh his ass off at the absurdity of it all, but then he spends the rest of the party holding an inconsolable Wille as the blonde keeps showing him cute pics of him and his boyfriends and sobbing a "look at him, he's so pretty, you can't kiss me anymore I can't hurt him"

Cue Simon promising a drunk Wille that he will not kiss him so that he won't be cheating anymore. Wille will hug him so tight then, saying "you're wonderful, Simon, I would love be with you in another life" and passing out not too long after

Next morning, Wille vividly remembers kissing someone at the party and he nearly has a panic attack over it before Simon barges into his room to tell him the most hilarious thing that he did last night (and then getting all the kisses Wille denied him last night)

So basically it’s a canon divergence in which Wille and Simon stay close friends after season 1 instead of getting back together. Cut to a decade later and Wille’s still struggling to accept his role as Crown Prince and what it means for his love life while Simon’s life is about to drastically change. Not only has he finally found a record label that wants to sign him, he and his boyfriend of five years are also talking about finally moving in together. Except nothing goes as planned and Simon, feeling lonely and heartbroken, ends up turning to his best friend Wille for comfort. Which would be totally fine if there weren’t all these messy feelings they’ve both been trying to ignore out of existence for the past ten years.

So yeah, lots of messiness and heartbreak on three separate ends. But as always, there will be a happy ending for Wilmon. I am physically and mentally incapable of not giving them that.

Not giving you a particular fic (🙈) but I'm interested in 22 for the behind-the-scenes asks!

It's soooo funny for me to be like yeah, inspired by personal stuff when young royals is about the literal ex-crown prince of Sweden. i guess i do put a lot of personal experience into stuff even though it's not really about my life? It's more that I'm often that I'm interested in themes. I put myself into the fic in the same way as actors do? Like I think about what that would feel like.

But I do also borrow a ton of little details. Like in the fic where wilmon try really hard to have a threesome and instead end up offering the guy herring, there's lots of little details in there. like the polyamory worksheet! and having a friend who only does threesomes! and frustrations with the heights of tables when you're short and wanna make out with your partner! Or when Wilhelm is trying to describe what it's like to have sex with someone you're into v someone you're not and says the former is like watching a fast and the furious movie (something he looks forward to and enjoys the entire time it's happening). I love those movies.

And a lot of my fic are about complex families! We don't need to unpack all of that but I am Aware Of My Themes.

probably the fic that has the most stuff taken directly from my life is not a young royals fic, it's the earthquake in the room (aka toast fic) which is an mdzs wangxian fic. Just in case anyone is out there reading this. the narration in that fic is exactly what it is like inside my mind.

Lmao reducing their relationship down to a teenage fling when they both changed each others entire lives is strange. some ppl talking about this show sound like kristina. like why are u so damn jaded like we get it you hate love and happiness but don’t take it out on wilmon

No absolutely like where’s their sense of whimsy and romance? Literally the whole point of the ending is to hope for a better future - it’s the whole point of the show.

But also even if Wille changed his mind about Simon or the throne (which I don’t think he will but 🤗) - that’s a thing he’s allowed to do?! There’s no need to shame him for changing his mind and making his own choices.

Relationships can be meaningful even if they don’t last forever. It’s not a “failure” if they break up in fifteen years or fifteen months. And even if it did end, that doesn’t mean Wille’s going to go running back to the crown - he did this for himself!!! As he literally said!!!

Not to get philosophical, but the mathematician in me always thinks about this concept I learned in school.

In math there exists a set of computationally challenging problems that we call “NP-complete” and they basically have no efficient solutions. And the way we estimate a solution to one of these problems is by being “greedy” aka taking the best step at each point of the problem and it actually gets us pretty damn close to the ideal solution.

And this is exactly what Wille is doing like 😭 let him enjoy being 17 😭 let him be happy with Simon without the weight of the world on his shoulders.

“Simon, we are an inclusive group. It’s an adult queer romance book club, I doubt that anything you are wearing could–” Wille trails off with a splutter and stares at him as Simon opens his coat and shrugs out of it. Simon doesn’t know if he should feel self-conscious or proud that he made an obvious man of words lose them with cutout tights and a glittery mesh top under his big, violet fleece scarf. It really does leave very little to the imagination, he thinks to himself as he unwraps the fleece. Wille clears his throat, squeezes out “I’ll get you a hoodie,” and turns on his heel to speed walk to the other direction of the shop. 

29. Biggest surprise while writing this year? How well all four coops with @pagegirlinwriting went and how much better of a writer it made me. It challenges you if you have to keep up to another excellent writer.

seems like fate that you're the one that asks about this one as this is the second installment to don't slow down now aka ftts epilogue series! it won't come for a while, but after hearing the feedback on the first chapter i was struck by The Worms

here's a little taste:

They’d decided that it was smartest if they only stayed the night at each other’s on non-school nights so that they wouldn’t stay up too late, and so that they wouldn’t dive too quickly into this relationship which was really quite new. This week alone, they’d already broken that rule three times, last night being one of those times. Simon couldn’t help it, he just slept so much better with Wille by his side. Waking up next to him, too, put Simon in a wonderful mood and set him up for a great day. He was much more motivated to get out of bed when it meant sleepy kisses in the kitchen and keeping up the routine they’d developed on the trip, wherein Simon makes their coffee and Wille makes their toast. It was really more of a threat he could make whenever Wille woke him up by blasting Simon’s own songs off Spotify, but of course Simon would never actually enforce the rule that strictly.

idk what it is with me and making Wilmon make and then break rules. i really just... like, it's everywhere.

Okay, chapter 5 of “Simon Says” is WONDERFUL. It’s actually 31 different stories, not all written yet, filed in AO3 as separate chapters of the same Simon’s Month fic.

Anyway, the other prompt fills (aka chapters) are well worth reading as well, but the “towel” prompt for July 5 is especially lovely. It’s set during 1.05, and really captures the sweetness and innocence of Wilmon pre-video leak.
