Dingin. Cuma itu yang ada di kepala gue setiap kali gue datang ke tempat ini. Tempat yang setahun belakangan jadi 'rumah kedua' untuk gue. Aroma woody-nya, lantai parkitnya, ruang tunggu yang dihiasi semburat sinar matahari yang masuk lewat jendela besar, denting jam analog yang biasa menemaninya saat menunggu, suara air yang keluar dari dispenser saat dipencet oleh pasien lain.. Semuanya sekarang sangat familiar. Gue ingat dulu saat pertama kali diajak kesini, gue nggak mau melabeli diri gue sebagai 'pasien' karena gue nggak merasa sakit. Gue bisa melakukan aktivitas kayak biasa walaupun emang lebih sering nggak 'berfungsi'-nya, sih.

Seringkali gue liat beberapa orang yang tidak terlihat 'sakit' datang ke tempat ini. Wajahnya tenang, tutur bicaranya jelas, dan terlihat bisa berfungsi normal. Ah... mungkin gue dulu juga terlihat kayak gitu di mata orang lain. Arjuna si sombong ini merasa baik-baik aja. Setelah pertemuan pertama dengan dr. Jiemmy, gue baru sadar ternyata gue sangat butuh bantuan. Gue berduka dengan cara yang 'berbeda' dan hal itu malah melukai gue.

Kalau dulu Mas Satria — kakak sepupu gue — nggak ajak gue kesini, kayaknya sekarang gue bakal berakhir di bangsal penyakit jiwa atau lebih buruknya, kuburan.

Sekarang sudah hampir 30 menit sejak Mas Satria masuk kedalam ruangan dr. Jiemmy. Tadi setelah gue keluar, Mas Satria diminta masuk oleh dr. Jiemmy. Nggak tahu apa yang diomongin di dalam sana, mungkin dr. Jiemmy mau kasih tau ke Mas gue, kalo gue udah nggak perlu minum obat. Iya, gue udah bisa hidup normal tanpa obat sekarang. Gua juga nggak nyangka akhirnya bisa balik kayak semula. Ya... kayaknya nggak sepenuhnya 'kayak semula' tapi seenggaknya, gue sekarang jauh lebih baik.

Tiba-tiba pintu ruangan dr. Jiemmy terbuka dan Mas Satria keluar dengan mata sedikit bengkak dan hidung merah. Kayak habis nangis. Mas Satria menghampiri gue yang lagi bersandar di tembok ruang tunggu dan langsung memeluk gue sangat kencang.

"Ajuy... makasih banyak udah mau nolong diri sendiri. Makasih banyak udah mau sembuh." katanya. Gue cuma bisa tersenyum dan membalas pelukannya.

"Satu tahun yang berat ya, Juy? Makasih banyak udah sampe sini, Juy. Makasih."

"Makasih ya, Mas, udah nemenin Ajuy satu tahun ini." gue menjawab Mas Satria yang masih memeluk gue dengan kencang. Iya, ini pasti berat juga untuk Mas Satria. Dia salah satu orang yang nggak pernah berhenti untuk support gue dan nemenin gue dari awal.

"Abis ini kita boleh makan Wing Lok nggak, mas? Daritadi Ajuy mikirin hakaunya.." kata gue. Mas Satria melepas pelukan gue dan ketawa kecil.

"Boleh. Mau makan apa aja terserah Ajuy. Mas beliin semua yang Ajuy mau." Jawab Mas Satria sambil ngacak-ngacak rambut gondrong gue.

Ternyata butuh waktu satu tahun untuk gue bisa berdamai dan keluar dari ruang gelap yang selama ini jadi tempat sembunyi gue. Tempat yang gue kira bakal selamanya gue tempatin. Sekarang gue bisa meninggalkan semua yang gue bawa satu tahun kemarin di ruangan itu dan menutupnya dengan damai.

Jihan, sekarang langkahku lebih ringan. Napasku lebih mudah. Dadaku sudah tidak sesak. Tawaku lebih kencang. Air mataku enggan turun.

HILLTOP ESCAPED

Iloilo is often celebrated for its vibrant city life and historic landmarks, but venturing beyond the bustling streets reveals hidden gems waiting to be discovered. One of my most unforgettable adventures last week was exploring the hilltop of Ajuy, a peaceful coastal municipality in northern Iloilo. With its scenic views, serene atmosphere, and welcoming locals, the hilltop in Ajuy provided a perfect escape from the ordinary.

A Scenic adventure in Ajuy

Standing atop the hill was a breathtaking view that greeted me upon arrival. On one side, the coastline stretched endlessly where the blue waters of the sea meet the horizon. On the other side, green rolling hills, and patches of farmland.

A vantage point could also be accessed on the hilltop which was used to view the neighboring islands. Guimaras and other smaller island appeared like emerald jewels scattered across the blue sea.

Together with my friends we ordered some food to explore more about hilltop not just the view but also the food. Sipping the refreshing shake together with pork sisig with rice while enjoying the hilltop breeze was an experience that felt both grounding and indulgent. Also waiting for upcoming sunset is our goal.

A Glimpse of Adventure

For adventure seekers, the hilltop in Ajuy offers hiking trails that lead to hidden waterfalls and caves in the surrounding areas. While I couldn’t explore all these paths during my visit, the locals eagerly pointed them out, encouraging me to return for a more adventurous experience.
