“…What are you doing?” Sung Hyunjae pulled off my pajama top. He stared intently at the wound and placed his hand on it. He had already checked it before – why was he touching it again? I could sense his magic moving. With my level of magic power, I wouldn’t normally be able to detect someone else’s magic without activating the Teacher skill. Yet the sensation of magic power swirling over my scar felt as clear as if I was seeing it with my own eyes. Then, Sung Hyunjae's magic, which tingled slightly as it overflowed, was quickly absorbed by the magic stone in my body. "It's like mine. How?" "It's just your overinflated ego."

My goodness, what a masterclass in tension building! This fic is short and superb, truly a banger of its genre. From the first line I was totally immersed and at the edge of my seat trembling in anticipation and waiting for Harry and Draco to clash together, knowing it would come (I kept telling myself “any minute now..”). Tty builds a compelling and intimate, borderline dangerous atmosphere, and I was shook with the urgency of Harry’s want for Draco, and with how Draco was equally eager to give it to him.

Beyond the ridiculously hot sex I’m particularly delighted with two other elements here. First, the brilliant dialogue. The way Tty sustains the mood throughout the whole smut sequence, interlacing classic Drarry banter with delicious D/s dynamics, and mild distrust with growing desire and enthusiastic consent (consent kink is the sexiest kink and I won’t hear otherwise). I mean, Harry goes from horny to well… horny lol while Draco goes from confident to uncertain and the ending surprised me with its hopeful, almost sweet tone. The second thing I want to highlight is the impressive amount of character packed under 3k. Draco delivers his lines with such controlled authority, and Harry’s thrill at the possibility of getting caught was fascinating and really hot. This fic made me wonder about their future dynamics in and out of bed, and I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve even entertained the idea of Auror Harry x criminal Draco indulging a secret transgressive affair 😌🙌
