so i’ve finally decided on a possible partner for james sirius (since my alice ii is 9 years younger than him and i know jack shit about craig bowker jr): an oc of mine who i’ll introduce in this post

future job: secretly, her dream job is being a herbologist and studying magical plants all over the globe. when someone asks, though, she says a professional quidditch player or a healer.

partner/s: james sirius potter (since 7th year)

family: her mum was a witch, but she passed away when sylvanna was young so now she lives with her muggle dad. her mum’s best friend/her aunt is also a witch, and she visits a lot. sylvanna is hardcore shipping her aunt and her dad. her aunt has a daughter named kelly who is 12, a squib, and basically sylvanna’s sister atp. sylvanna loves her but finds her extremely annoying.

hair color/style: slightly wavy honey-blonde hair that is almost always in a ponytail or other up-do of some sort. when it’s down it goes down to her lower back, so it’s sort of impractical, but she refuses to cut it

skin color: fair, has a lot of freckles because she gets freckles instead of tanning (and she spends a lot of her time outside)

eye color: green

personality: sylvanna is extremely ambitious and was almost sorted into slytherin, but she’s so loyal to the people she cares about that hufflepuff is really the only place for her. she’s also very determined and hard working — two more hufflepuff traits. she doesn’t like being told what to do, especially by those she doesn’t think respect her, which leads her to get detention a lot (snape would hate her, and she would hate him right back). she doesn’t want to let people down but also hates being underestimated. all in all her personality is pretty similar to missy from heartbreak high

who she is: in my version of next gen, sylvanna is in the same year as james sirius. she’s best friend with my other ocs aisley (ravenclaw quidditch captain & prefect) kelsi (another hufflepuff chaser), zayne (captain of hufflepuff & head boy), and haylea (captain of slytherin quidditch before albus)

how she & james get together: they sort of ignore each other for the most part until starting a quidditch/academic rivalry in 7th year. james starts crushing immediately, sylvanna ignores this because she’s terrified of commitment. eventually they become better friends and james helps her talk about some of her fears (letting people down, losing people, pushing them away, etc.). finally sylvanna’s friends go behind her back and, with the help of fred and roxanne, set james and sylvanna up on a blind date in hogsmeade.

james and sylvanna also get along especially well bc they have both had long term, unreciprocated crushes on other people (teddy for james sirius and kelsi for sylvanna)
