Who are your mains/fave rp partners? Why?

I don’t have any mains really. I love all of my partners, but like with real life, there are a few of my partners that I’m closer to and talk with out of character more than any of the others. I hesitate sometimes in doing asks of this nature because I do not want to make anyone feel left out, but I feel that isn’t fair to me either. I love and adore all of my partners and our plots/threads so this is in no way a slight against anyone not listed. 

@amongxashesxembers - Love all her characters. They are so welcome and inviting. Just like the mun that portrays them. I’ve gotten super close to her since I returned to my blog last summer, and I am pretty sure I’d be lost without her. So never go anywhere, okay? <3

@boltsandashes - We talk almost every day. Pretty sure she gets sick of me, but oh well! She’s opened my eyes to a lot of different things I never gave much thought about when it comes to Daryl Dixon, and I love that so much. So happy I didn’t let anxiety keep me from approaching you that day when I did. <3 

@burnslikefire - Syd, I don’t know where I’d be if you and I weren’t friends. I am pretty damned sure that you’re my bestie in the roleplay community. Yes, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we always come back together and work things out. I love you, honey! I’m proud of you for knowing when you need a break and knowing you can trust those that love and care about you to understand that you do. Not going anywhere, honey buns! 

@doginthecorner - You and I became better friends through a rocky time in my roleplay life, and I’m so glad that you chose to keep me around. I love that just about any Caryl plot that comes into my head that you’re game for doing. I cannot wait to see what these two chuckleheads get up to! 

@its-a-superpower - Woman! I wasn’t really into the whole pairing of Connie and Daryl, and for the show, I’m still not, but our threads give me life. They are so unique and completely different from anything I’m doing with anyone else. And you? My dear, you are hilarious as all get out and just a true gem and a joy to have as a friend. I’m so happy you came into my roleplay life and became my friend.

@sassysurvivor - I know we don’t get to roleplay or talk much anymore, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love and adore you. You’re always on my mind when I’m on here. I miss seeing you on my dash and all your lovely muses. You were the first (and only) to indulge me with my rare pairing of Lori/Daryl, and I can never thank you enough for that. Just know that I’m always here if/when you return.

The Stash || Connie & Shane

Back before the turn, winter was Connie's favorite season, it was a nice change from the usually overwhelmingly hot weather where she used to live. Now it mostly brought trouble- yes, the cold made the walkers slower, but there was also a chance of starving or freezing to death, and as time went on and the supplies became scarce, that chance got higher, which meant that if they all wanted to live to see another spring, they needed supplies.

It had taken her some time, but Connie had managed to convince Magna that after what they had done to Oceanside and Hilltop, they owed the communities and apology, what better way to apologize than get them the supplies they so much needed? They'd all talked about it and reluctantly agreed, although they'd also agreed that Connie would be the one to go and tell them that they still had stashes they hadn't told anyone about- Kelly had offered to accompany her, but Connie had firmly declined, since her sister was already on thin ice and the first one people would come looking for along with Magna whenever something went missing.

It had taken Connie a whole day and a half to decided who she was going to approach about it. She ended up choosing Shane because the man had always acted quite approachable and because even though she had never spoken to him before, he'd been one of the only ones to not point their way whenever something went missing.

The words "I know where we can find supplies." had been written on her notepad since the day before, so she just had to find the man, tap his shoulder and hand the pad over for him to read. "There's a stash with supplies- Not Stolen," she underlined the last two words. Not wanting to even leave room for him to think that they'd also stolen from Hilltop again.

It was crazy, what lengths Rick would go to prove he had the bigger balls than someone else. Not everyone made it back from this particular shootout.

At least not unscathed.

Hobbling up the stairs, her thigh still oozing blood from where she'd been shot. Once she breached the door, she slammed it shut behind her not really caring if her brother was behind her or not.

Being shot was Shae's least favorite thing to do.

"How 'bout you go an' stroke his ego bit more, huh? See what other shit he'll get us into this time." Voice rose to almost yelling levels. "God fucking damnit."

"Ah'killed Randall..." He says in that way he had. Breathless. Arrogance. And vulnerable too. "Ah'killed 'im an' ah'lied 'bout him gettin' loose..." He had Lori there in the moment and he didn't know why. It just came out. "An' ah'm prepared t'do whatever ah'got to t'own that decision." Meaning hurting Rick; because the man who had been his brother would come for him. No question.

❝ you  what ? ❞  lori  gaped,  attempting  to  comprehend  the  weight  of  what  shane  had  just  admitted.  this  was  the  last  thing  she  could  have  anticipated  when  he  pulled  her  to  the  side  of  the  farmhouse  to  talk,  though  the  manic  glare  in  his  eye  should  have  clued  her  in  that  something  was  very,  very  wrong.  ❝ christ,  shane,  are  you  insane ?! ❞  she  stepped  back  from  him,  feeling  sick.  had  he  done  this  for  her ?

after  their  conversation  earlier  that  morning  at  the  windpump,  lori  had  been  hopeful  that  shane  was  finally  hearing  her  message :  whatever  happened  between  them  was  a  mistake.  their  talk  had  felt  good,  almost  like  old  times,  but  it  was  stupid  of  her  to  have  believed  that  a  single  conversation  could  derail  shane  from  the  dark  path  he  was  barreling  down.  ❝ and  to  think,  i  was  startin’  to — ❞  see  the  old  you  again.  lori  stopped  herself  short,  shaking  her  head  in  disbelief.  if  shane  was  willing  to  kill  a  man  to  ‘ protect ’  lori,  behind  the  group’s  back,  then  what  else  was  he  willing  to  do ?

She can taste the blood dripping from her nose into her mouth and cringes, using her free hand to wipe away as much as possible as her other hand cradles a hyperventilating bird to her chest.

“They were trying to eat her, I couldn’t just…”

Her voice cracks, eyebrows scrunching together in clear pain at the mental image and gives a shudder.

“I couldn’t leave her.” 

She finished meekly, shoulders hunching up at his voiced increase in volume.

Rick gasped as the nurse wrapped his busted up ribs. He glared at Shane. “Not one damn word, Shane. Not one damn word.” He could already hear what his partner, and best friend, had to say just by the look on his face, and he wasn’t having any of it. He had fucked up, and he didn’t need to be reminded of that fact.

“Just tell Lori I’m fine,” he insisted as he ground his teeth together as the pain radiated throughout his entire body. He pushed the nurse’s hand away. “Make sure she doesn’t worry, Shane, okay?” The last thing he wanted was for Lori to be worried. Especially since they had fought, again, that morning.

Things were rocky, and that was a vast understatement. Evie understood both sides and she more than agreed with her aunt Shae that her father had not only stepped in it, but he was waist deep and sinking fast.

Her hands scrubbed over her face as she paced with heavy steps outside the car they had left in. They were out on a run, one that was important and she knew that her father had thought about running.

“You made'a mistake, daddy, but it ain’t too late to make’t better. Uncle Rick would understand, ya don’t have to burn the whole damn bridge down all ‘round us to make a point.”

Evie was frustrated, it was obvious and she had a good reason to be. All she had left were those three and she and her aunt had been trying to beat some sense into him for days now. “He ain’t gonna turn on you, ya gotta trust him. Ya gotta trust us. He ain’t in the wrong here.” Brows furrowed almost painfully as she looked through the cracked open window at him.
