A Brighter Dawn

Chapter Five

Elyse

Elyse was able to scarf down a bit of her soup which was actually really good. Her stomach didn’t feel like it was turning flips anymore but she felt like that was because of the tea. Wonwoo’s special tea. She smiled at the thought of him being so kind. The fact that she had been on his mind made her feel different. Special.

“Umm Elyse?” Coups called as he noticed her expression. “Was the soup that good? Or are you in a great mood because I’m here.” He smirked.

She snapped out of her trance. “Huh?” She stared at him in confusion.

He chuckled. “I flirt with you 24/7 and either you don’t notice or you’re not strickened by my rough around the edges handsome features.”

She cocked her head to the left and stared at him for a moment. Suddenly she burst into laughter. “I notice. I notice that you flirt with everyone.”

“Not everyone. I’m just nice to everyone. I don’t show any other girls as much attention as I show you.” He winked.

“Is that supposed to impress me?” She raised an eyebrow.

Scoups pulled her chair closer to his. They were facing one another.

She was a bit uncomfortable. She wasn’t sure what he had up his sleeve.

“Do I make you nervous?” He asked with that same smirk on his lips.

She cleared her throat. “Not really.” She played it cool.

He moved closer to her face. Their lips just inches apart. “What if I leaned in just a bit more. Would you be nervous then?”

She swallowed, leaving her gaze on him. “You wouldn’t dare.” She couldn’t let his bad boy act affect her.

He chuckled a bit and suddenly move forward more.

She turned her head a bit and his lips landed on the side of her face. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. “I’m sorry.” She whispered.

He slid his chair back a bit. He could tell that he was crowding her. “No I’m sorry. I don’t know why I thought that would be okay.”

She stood up and started grabbing her things. “No it’s fine. I’m just not in the right headspace right now. I need air.” She hurried out leaving him behind in her office.

As she walked the streets, all she could do was thank the heavens for fresh air.

Her feet led her aimlessly. She just knew she had to get away. Something about that moment didn’t feel right. She felt guilty but couldn’t figure out why. Coups has always shown interest but he did that with everyone. The fact that he went further this time, made her feel claustrophobic. She felt like she had did something wrong.

She could hear guitars and voices speaking poetry. Her feet had led her to where she needed to be. Once a month there was an street art festival. Random indie artists would come out and set up to show their work. Writers, singers, painters, sculptors. Anything you could think of, it was here. This place always put her at ease.

She walked the streets and admired what she saw and heard. She was in her head, not paying attention to anything else but the art. She hit a hard surface.

Arms fell around her. “Oops.” A male’s voice carried through her ears.

Her breath hitched as she looked into the guy’s face. She immediately stood straight and gathered herself together. “I’m so sorry.”

He gave her a slight smile. “No worries. Are you okay? Do you feel better? Did the tea help?”

She smiled shyly. “Yes to all of your questions.”

Wonwoo nodded. “Funny seeing you here.”

“Yeah. I needed to get away. I come here every month when they have it.” She said as she held her purse tight.

His face lit up. “So do I!”

She saw the excitement in his face. “Hm. Weird how we’ve never ran into one another or that you’ve never mentioned it.”

“I used to come with Minghao but now I come alone. I love to read so I like to patronize local authors.” He smiled.

“I love reading too. And music is my everything. It’s nice to sit and listen to someone strum a guitar and listen to the sweet melodies of someone’s voice. It’s soothing.” She looked around the streets as more people began to fill them.

His face began to warm. If he didn’t like her before he definitely had deeper feelings now. Just knowing that they shared something so special in common made his heart even more involved. “Well enjoy the rest of your time. I don’t want to intrude.”

She grabbed his arm. Like a wrecking ball crashing into her she realized why she had felt guilty earlier. Maybe just maybe she had Wonwoo on the brain. She had never really noticed him before but somehow he was more visible than ever. “You’re not intruding. Walk with me?”

His eyes widened. He was in shock. Did she really just ask him to walk....with....her? He coughed a bit. He was choked up. “Jinja?”

She giggled. “Yes really. Why are you so shocked?”

He looked away shyly. “I don’t know.”

She gently grabbed his hand and pulled him along the street with her.

Naomi

The next day she was ready. She was prepared to lay her vocals for Woozi. She wouldn’t make him wait any longer. She saw the disappointment in his face and she didn’t want to be the cause of it anymore. She had to admit that she had a nice lunch with the manager though.

As she got closer to the studio she heard a female’s voice singing. Her heart dropped when she noticed Ailee in the booth. The words she was singing sounded oddly familiar. When Coups bars came into play she knew then why it sounded so familiar. Tears began to well in her eyes.

Vernon looked around to notice her standing in the doorway. “Hey Naomi!” He exclaimed but his words trailed off when he noticed the look on her face and tears in her eyes.

She immediately snapped out of whatever had taken over her and wiped her face before Woozi could turn around.

“What’s wrong?” Vernon asked.

She shook her head quickly and simply walked out to catch her breath. She stood in the hallway breathing hard.

Woozi followed her out. His eyes widened when he noticed how she was breathing. “Oh no! Are you having another panic attack?”

She stared at him with rage. It wasn’t panic at all that she was feeling. It was anger. “You replaced me?” She bit out.

He sighed. “I honestly didn’t think you’d show. I had to be safe.”

“Didn’t think I’d show?!” She yelled a bit. She was trying to keep her composure but he was really making it hard.

“No I didn’t. You’ve blown me off quite a bit. I couldn’t afford not to finish the song because you keep making other plans!” He hated arguing with her but this was what it was.

She rubbed her fingers threw her hair. “You could’ve gave me another chance to prove to you? I’m actually here.”

“Yeah for the first time in a long time. Thanks for finally coming through but lately you’ve been preoccupied.”

“Preoccupied? Is this about Seungjoon & I having lunch?” She asked.

He chuckled. She was really oblivious. “No. It’s about you! And me! And how I’ve given you all the signs but you never take them.” He finally admitted.

“What signs, Woozi?” She yelled.

He shook his head. “You just don’t get it. And you never will.” Now he was becoming frustrated.

“Tell me something. Why’d you choose Ailee?” She asked. She stared in through the window at the woman. She was gorgeous and had never done anything wrong to her but the mere fact of her singing the song that should’ve been hers, it was pissing her off.

“Who else would I have used? Her voice worked well with Elyse’s.” He spoke truthfully.

Naomi raised an eyebrow. “Not as well as mines!”

“Well this is all of your fault! Not mines. I needed to lay the vocals and she was available.”

That took her aback. “My fault? You know what Jihoon, I feel like you’re just doing this as payback! You’re mad about me having lunch with Seungjoon, right? I’m allowed to have other male friends. I don’t understand why you’re so pressed!”

His heart broke. The pieces began to shatter. She had finally drawn the line. “I never have said that you can’t have other male friends. I’m just not used to it because the only other guys you’re ever around is us. When you dated that douche bag Jin, who was there for you to pick up the pieces? Me! Im always there, and now it’s like a crime for me to even care about you. You blew me off for Seungjoon which is totally fine but you can’t get mad because you won’t be on this song anymore.”

Silence spread throughout the hallway. Naomi had let anger tear them apart. Woozi had allowed jealousy take over. How were they both so oblivious.

Woozi stared down the hallway, trying to keep from looking at her.

Vernon stepped into the hallway. He could feel the tension. “I don’t like this. Y’all both need to figure out what you really want from one another. It’s clear that you both are dealing with feelings on your own. Maybe it’s time that you deal with them together.” He spoke.

Naomi stood with her arms crossed. Pride wouldn’t allow her to say a word.

Woozi stared at her for a moment. Waiting. He didn’t know what he was waiting on her to do but he was waiting.

“Woozi, just admit it!” Vernon pleaded.

Woozi wet his lips thinking for a moment. “I’m tired of feeling like I’m holding you captive.”

Vernon was confused. That’s not what he was expecting nor was he trying to get him to say. “What the hell? You like her so say that shit!”

“It wouldn’t change anything. Go be happy, Naomi. God, you deserve it.” He said and walked back into the studio.

Naomi crumpled over in tears, Vernon had to catch her before she fell to the ground.

Minghao

He was practicing the choreography for “My I” with Jun. They had a performance coming up and wanted to go over the performance since it had been awhile since they did this song.

After about an hour they both were tired. He took a seat on the floor and sipped from his water bottle. They began to converse in Chinese.

The door to the practice room closed a bit too hard. The slam startled Laiya as well. She was trying to surprise Minghao but she was literally standing there looking like a deer in headlights.

Jun began to chuckle. “Are you lost? This isn’t the PR department.”

Minghao gave her a twice over look. She looked nice in her business attire. He smiled to himself.

Laiya took a quick breath. Seeing the way Minghao watched made her lose her breath for a moment. “No, I actually was looking for y’all.” She smiled a little. She didn’t know why she just didn’t say Minghao but it seemed too weird to single him out in front of someone else.

Minghao stood to his feet. “You found us. What’s good?”

“I’m hungry. Are y’all hungry?” She spoke quickly. Her hands began to sweat a bit. Why was she nervous? She thought to herself.

Minghao looked over to Jun. “You hungry?”

He nodded.

“Okay. My treat.” She rushed out of the practice room. Her nerves were piling up.

Jun gave Minghao a weird look. “Is she being weird? Or am I imagining it?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Minghao stated plainly.

They both grabbed up their things and followed her out.

All About Korean Solo Singer-Songwriter: Ailee

A singer-songwriter. A Queen. A powerful singer. A woman who made a name for herself. All of these describe the one and only Ailee (eh-ee-lee)

Her full name is Amy Lee (Korean name: Lee Yejin), but she is most commonly known as her stage name, Ailee. She is currently 28 She is a Korean-American; born in Denver, Colorado and raised in New Jersey. - I really should have taken the chance to get to know her if I had known because she used to attend two Korean churches that I attended when I was younger. Such a missed opportunity Anyway, she attended Pace University, but later dropped out to pursue a singing career like many other artists who believe that university won’t help with their true interests and passions.

She was a part of an American record label called Muzo Entertainment, but it wasn’t long until she decided she wanted to catch the attention of South Korea. Before she started her career as a singer-songwriter under a Korean record label, she would often post videos on her YouTube channel mzamyx3 and aileemusic, both of which are inactive today, but she was able to get a lot of attention through the YouTube/online community.

Ailee is one of those artists that hit it big pretty much since the beginning. That is just how amazing she is. In 2010, Ailee moved to Korea after auditioning for a South Korean entertainment company called YMC Entertainment where she worked with other popular artists but not yet debuted as a solo artist. She was able to go on a Korean TV show called Singer and Trainee where a singer (Wheesung) and a trainee (Ailee) would do a performance together. And at that show, Ailee also performed solo and did a cover of Beyonce’s “Halo”

There, she was able to showcase to a larger audience on national Korean television on her ability to sing. There, she proved that she will become a very successful artist and that she did.

She debuted in 2012 with her song ‘Heaven’ and did very well. With this song, she won ‘Song of the Month’ and ‘Rookie of the Month’ and then later won ‘Best New Artist Award’ at another award show. That whole year was filled with awards for her and many opportunities on variety shows and singing shows to showcase her singing to further expand her fandom.

Later that year in October, Ailee released a song called “I’ll Show You”. This is the song that many people have discovered Ailee and became a fan (like me). After I found this song, I immediately fell in love with the song and her singing.

Her voice is just so powerful and filled with emotion. It’s so difficult to not be a fan of her after listening to her sing.

This song allowed her to achieve her first win on a Korean broadcast show actually beating PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ that week, which is a huge feat. Hell, even getting a first win on the month of your debut is extremely difficult. Even the most popular groups/artists get their first win 2-3 years after debuting.

She then later released U&I in 2013. A couple months later, there was scandal regarding her and some photos, but that was due to scammers and hackers, at which she was not at fault and later got back into the game after a 6 month hiatus. That is when she came back with her music video for ‘Singing Got Better’ to show that no matter what people tell her, she’s going to strive to accomplish the dream. The music and the lyrics talk about how her singing got better after breaking up with a boyfriend because she realized that she’s been giving up her dream just to be a good girlfriend (more about this on Billboard), but I definitely believe that the song has a deeper meaning and relates to what she went through during the scandal and the hiatus.

I would say Ailee has gotten quite a lot of international attention in 2014 after she went on a show called ‘Immortal Songs’ (which is where they set a theme of whose artist’s songs to sing and other singers are invited to sing a cover of that artist. And then the singers compete through audience vote and the winner with the most votes wins and takes the trophy- if you’re confused and have about 2 hours of extra time, you should watch an episode Here’s the Michael Bolton episode where he actually went to watch WITH English subtitles, you’re welcome)

ANYWAY back to Ailee- on one of the episodes, she performed a cover of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ which caused a lot of traction and got further recognition for her singing. I mean, listen to her performance yourself here!

The next year, in 2015, she accomplished many more things. She hosted her first solo concert and later released her first studio album, VIVID with the music video for ‘Mind Your Own Business’ with a more badass image.

Ailee’s most recent comeback was last year October 2016 with her song ‘Home’

And that seems like a long time ago, but actually since then she sang an OST for a very popular Korean drama called ‘Goblin’ with a song called ‘I Will Go to You Like the First Snow’ And she said that she is currently working on an album and will feature many other popular artists. So her fans, including myself, are really looking forward to the music she will release in the future.

I actually saw her live before in KCON NY 2016 - Day 1 and she was amazing I timestamped her portion of the performance in the video that I captured below

In the middle of one of her performances, there was an equipment malfunction and the music stopped playing, but after a very brief moment of hesitation, she kept going! Until she was told to get off the stage and start the performance over, but that moment was when I had a renewed respect for her as a performer and singer.

She’s just been climbing and climbing in fame, but still maintains an extremely good image. She portrays herself as a sexy, powerful singer on stage, but off-stage, you will find that she is a very innocent, sweet person and makes herself very approachable.

Top 12 Kpop Songs – 2 Year Kpop Anniversary

Since Exo’s Call Me Baby came out 2 years ago in March, it means that I’ve been into Kpop for 2 years now! That’s a lot for me because I get tired of things kind of quickly. So for my Kpop anniversary, I decided to do a all time top 12 favorite Kpop songs.

Even though I LOVE khiphop and krnb this list will just be Kpop. There are some songs that aren’t really kpop songs, but they are by Kpop groups. So does that count? Most songs on this list will be by Kpop groups anyways.

Please show some love to this post. I spent a long time on it and creating the pictures for it.

12. Black Hole // Shinee

Ah, Shinee. You can always rely on them for delivering bops. This song was not a title track, but it was on the amazing View album. This song is so nice I love it. You can’t just help but dance and bob your head when listening to it.

11. Ah-Ah // Teen Top

Omg this album and song is amazing. Let’s just talk about the song for a minute. It’s catchy, quality content, the MV is so colorful, and they all look fine. Not to mention that the footwork is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE. So, how can you not love and stan this amazingly talented group.

10. Moonlight Sonata // Big Star

Okay I’m going to be honest. This is the only big star song that I listen to/know. I didn’t even watch the MV until I started writing this post even though it has been on my playlist for a few years. But I just had to put it on this list. This song is AMAZING and even though I don’t know them they deserve more love and recognition.

But listen to this song because it is so smooth and I cry every time I hear it. Side note but I like Baram cause he had a man bun in this music video.

9. Automatic // Red Velvet

This is true art right here. Not only is the MV aesthetic but the song itself sounds so aesthetic. Also, I really love the red album and their recent one. There is not much to say besides appreciate this master piece.

8. Ma Boy // Sistar19

The iconic body roll anthem of the century. Honestly, I cannot help but body roll to this song. Like how can you not? But their socks with heels kill me every time.

7. Playback // Playback

Is this socks with heels part 2? Hahaha I’m kidding. But, I’m so glad I randomly clicked on this when it was in my YouTube subscription page. But like this song is sooo good I practically know all the lyrics and the whole dance. Also it’s super catchy so go listen to it so it gets stuck in your head for the whole day.

6. Fly // Got7

This is honestly my favorite Got7 song. There would be more Got7 (and JYP artists) on this list, but JYP is too petty to allow his artists’ songs on Spotify. This song is perfection, so go listen to it and bless your ears.

5. Q&A // Seventeen

Oh this song is so cute I love it. Like you have s.coups, vernon, and woozi, and then you throw in Ailee with her amazing vocals. How can you not be shook by this song? Also, am I the only one who heard Vernon say “bagel bagel” or-

4. Honestly // Monsta X

This song still remains my favorite Monsta X song. I know their other songs are very different from this, but I just can’t help but love this song much. It’s just so beautiful with their their smooth vocals and Jooheon and IM’s rap. Ugh my heart.

3. Shall We Dance // HiNi

Is this considered Kpop? Welp I’m putting it on this list anyways. This song- ugh I can’t even describe. The music video is so simple, but that’s what I love about it. The song it self is hands down amazing. HiNi looks so cute, and she has such a unique voice that you never expected to come from her. So, I thank myself for randomly clicking on this song and discovering heaven.

2. Cypher Pt. 4 // BTS

I know this is only performed by the rap line (and occasionally Taehyung) but like this song is so lit, and that beat always kills me. I don’t really have much to say besides this is a real lit song but yeah…

Not really a

I just realized that most of these have an R&B or hiphop feel to them. Whoops…

Wow I’m back and better than ever. Hahaha I’m kidding. I honestly really want to get back into blogging, but I feel like I’m going to get really busy soon. I’ve recently been thinking about my blog, so I wrote this when I had a little free time. I hope this isn’t, but I’m pretty sure this is just going to be a one time gig for now. I can’t really fully commit to a schedule or anything like that.

I almost watched 100 dramas, and I have a special post idea. Hopefully, you won’t see that post months from now. But, as previously mentioned I really got into the underground khh and krnb scene, so if you would like any posts on that I’m more than happy to do it. [SCENARIO] How the Vocal Team will Propose (JH/JS/WZ)

A continuation of one of our earlier scenarios (How the Hip Hop Team will Propose). We will also be doing one for the performance team as well, so we hope you look forward to it!

A/N: WHOO! And that wraps the Vocal Team up! We really tried our hardest to make each of them unique in their own way, so we hope you like them!

SYNOPSIS

I think we all know that the Vocal Team are definitely the shyer, less expressive ones (other than Seungkwan) in the group, so we can see them turning to simpler, but sweeter ways to propose to their significant others. True to themself, their proposal methods may be really cliche but it will definitely melt any girl’s heart.

JEONGHAN

Totally totally romantic about it

May not seem like he would put in much effort

But he WILL i tell you HE WILL

No matter how long you’ve dated him, he will know if you are THE ONE

Ponders night after night for a month or so

Would be calculative about it

“if i marry her will it benefit both of us?”

“She has a lovely caring family so i won’t have such a hard time”

“My mum already treats her like her daughter in law”

Im at the age anyway

Yo best friend Seungcheol and Joshua i need your help like pls mani mani help

Seungcheol: “Anything for you bro”

Joshua: “Totally bro, I’m happy for you”

“Dino-ya whose baby are you”

“ugh must we do that hyung”

“Jeonghannie hyung’s baby”

“Alright glad you know let’s get to work”

First he will ask you out on a normal date

First will be meeting you in a posh car

“Rented it just for you babe”

“Imma make you feel like the queen today”

Will Pay to give you a makeover and a new set of clothes

While waiting for you to finish makeover he will be slowly preparing the next part of the surprise proposal

He will rush back to the boutique and sit there for 5 mins just to tell you that you look great when you appeared

Pretending that he was there all the while

And once you go back into the makeup room/dressing room/ hairstylist etcetc

He would rush off elsewhere to prepare

Once you’re done and you look stunning

He would definitely praise you on your looks, and then tip the shop assistants for helping him keep his cover

Would bring you to a beautiful restaurant

Probably wanted to reserve the whole restaurant for you

Got into a fight with the manager of the restaurant because he wasn’t allowed to reserve it all

Still goes there anyways because that’s your favourite steak place

While ordering the food, Jeonghan would recite every single detail about the food that you would order

From no peas to more cheese

Then when you’re done with your food, he brings you out for a walk at a nearby park.

Both of you would sit at a nearby bench and talk about everything under the moon

Then Seungcheol’s dog would approach and give you a letter

“Dearest (Y/N)..”

While you were distracted by the dog, Jeonghan probably left to get the helium coloured (Gold, Silver, White)balloons from dino and a bunch of flowers from joshua who were hiding nearby

You gasped as you spotted him coming back with flowers and balloons

“Thank you for being there for me 24/7”

“It has come to a point where i need you, i want you, and i love you.”

“Will you marry me?”

// gets down on one knee and opens the ring box revealing a simple, yet eye-catching ring, while giving you his 1004 smile <3

Would definitely jump for joy when you agree to his proposal

Puts on the ring for you, holding onto your delicate hands

And he will forget to hold on to the balloons

And they would all fly up

Jeonghan and you would laugh it off,

WOULD definitely share his whole plan with you after the event, recalling and telling you about every single problem he faced while planning

From seungcheol’s dog not cooperating to dino almost losing the ring

Ends up wanting to cuddle back at your house, emphasizing that he was your husband already

Would whine if you didn’t let him

Ends the date by giving you a warm, passionate kiss

JOSHUA

Joshua is known as the gentleman of Seventeen

He’ll definitely want to date for a few years before marrying you

But before that, you’ll have to meet his ENTIRE family first

That includes his grandparents and cousins and aunts and uncles

You’ve met his parents before when they visited him in Korea

But the rest of his family is in America which means both of you will get to travel overseas together ✈

His parents has a good impression of you and they already treat you as if you’re their own daughter

Tbh his family won’t worry much as they know and fully trusts that Joshua is capable of making the right decisions when it comes to his significant other

Somewhat means that you’re gonna be accepted and welcomed into the family hehe

They’ll keep complimenting how both of you are perfect for each other

And his grandparents will start hinting to him to officially make you part of the family

*insert Joshua’s super shy smile weeeee* 😜😜😜

He’ll want to make his proposal a simple yet super memorable one

Joshua’s from LA and beaches are quite a thing there so he plans to propose on a beach

He’ll take you for a simple western dinner at a cosy restaurant by the sea

After dinner, he’ll make you walk with him along the beach

The sky’s getting darker and it’s getting chilly - so he’ll make sure to take off his jacket and put it over you to keep you warm

He’ll suddenly stop and turn to you

“What’s wrong?”

He takes your hands and puts them over your eyes, “Nothing, jagi! Just wait here, and don’t open your eyes until I tell you to!”

“But Josh-”

“Just do it!”

You’re clueless about what he’s gonna do but follow his instructions anyway

He then turns you around so you’ll be facing him, and he hands you a bouquet of your favourite flowers, baby’s breath

He picks up his guitar that’s lying on the sand and sings you 20

He chose 20 because he feels like the lyrics deem fit for what he’s about to do... it’s one of your favourite Seventeen songs

And you can’t help but just smile and stare at how beautiful he is when he sings

You can’t help but wished that this moment will stay like that forever

But sadly, the song ends at some point and he puts down his guitar and steps closer to you

Suddenly, you feel yourself blushing as you try to avoid eye contact

He senses your shyness, raises your head so that your eyes meet and teases with a smirk, “Did you like that, jagi? 😏”

You didn’t want to give him the satisfaction, “Well… the candles are pretty…”

“Really? That’s not all though. 😉”

Joshua’s smile fades away as he takes a deep breath before he continuing

“Y-y/n, I know that loving me isn’t easy. It’s been tough on you and I am grateful that you’re still here. Thank you for caring for me, being there for me, being true and being you. But now, I want to be the one who looks after you…”

As he said those sweet words to you, you can’t help but tear up

Joshua gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring from his pocket and presents it to you

“Y/n, will you be mine forever?”

You were so overwhelmed by emotions and all you could do was smile and nod

Joshua’s eyes widen as a smile spreads across his face as he takes your left hand and puts the ring on your ring finger

He then stands up, wipes away your tears and pulls you into his chest for a warm hug

He whispers into your ear, “Thank you, y/n. And you can never remove this ring.”

You look up to see him gazing at you with his perfect almond eyes that shimmers under the moonlight

“What if I don’t want to listen to you?” you teased

He will probably consult all the Seventeen members for ideas and stuff

He might also ask Ailee for some tips because he’s a clueless bean

“Girls like roses right? So I’ll just buy roses for her?”

“Woozi, just because Google said so, doesn’t mean that she’ll like it. -.-”

Ok so on the day he’s gonna propose

He’ll probably be writing music in his studio while you accompany

And it feels like a normal date because the both of you have done this many times

But Jihoon’s extra awkward quiet that day and he won’t even look you in the eye when you talk to him

You figured that he was probably really stressed

The times he acted like this are usually during pre-comebacks when he was under the heavy pressure of creating new songs for their group

And you decide that you shouldn’t probe him further so you returned to lying on the couch and scrolling through your phone

But in actual fact, he was just really stressed about how to propose to you

Seeing that you’re not going to attempt to talk to him, he decides to take this as a chance

Jihoon goes over to a corner of the room to retrieve a small box from his bag

He joins you on the other side of the couch, hands clutching onto the box as if his life depended on it.

“Hey, I got something for you.”

He hesitates before passing you the box

Your hand reaches out to open the lid but before you can click it open, he stopped you?

“If you’re not ready for it, you can just give it back to me” trying to act all cool just because he thinks he’s a manly man

You kinda know where this is headed but you refuse to believe that this was happening

So you’re like “o..kay?” and stare at the box for like a long time

Jihoon obviously cannot stand the silence so he’s just like

“(Y/N), will you marry me?”

He says this while looking everywhere except you cause he’s nervous af

“I--I mean, we’re going to get married some point in the future, anyway, but the boys insisted I do this whole... proposal thing.”

You’re shooooook but you sort of manage to crack a smile?

“Thank god you said yes” he whispers to himself, eyes still darting everywhere

So you kinda have to hold his face in your hands to make him look at you

And you smile while kissing him, telling him how grateful you were to have him

Sometimes it sucks how Jihoon’s a smol, unromantic, emotionless creature and you question how the both of you started dating in the first place but now you can’t imagine life without him <3
