my favourite thing to do is try to show her rage (in my ein revenge au drabbles) as in-character as possible! something i dont like about fics in general is ehhh maybe like ein being shown as like a child (which she kinda is but imo shes a teenager who just likes pretty dresses lol) (im not talking about pre-teen sorta thing im talking people write her as a full blown 6 year old)

think its somewhat common knowledge that tsubaki takayuki is a vtuber under the name tsubaki seigi but its less known that morimoto ryoji is a local hero AND a vtuber both under mamoru heroes .....

when i mean local hero i mean IN SUIT in action ... hero shows (he has his own action classes!) and in safety lectures ... seriously hes so good at it ...

he does a lot of qna like just casual advice sessions and thats mostly what he does as a vtuber along with just general chatting lol .... he only streams on iriam though which is jp only sadly ... usually he streams daily or even twice a day! unfortunately hes not streamed in a few days as of this post but i think he actually just got back on a regular schedule and my western hemisphere ass just slept through them :(

Anime’s Glass Ceiling: what keeps women out of the director’s chair?

One of my favorite current manga is Beastars, by Itagaki Paru. A bizarre mash-up of high school soap opera, murder mystery and obsessive thought experiment on how a world populated by animals might function, it earned itself enough acclaim to garner an anime adaptation produced by Studio Orange.

Orange is the best CG studio in the anime industry, but there was one aspect of their otherwise fantastic adaptation that stood out to me, like a splinter lodged in your hand from an otherwise beautiful coffee table. While Itagaki, the creator of Beastars, is a woman, the director of the anime—Matsumi Shinichi—is a man.

The world of manga is home to many talented and successful female writers and artists. Takeuchi Naoko combined the appeal of tokusatsu drama with magical girl aesthetics to create Sailor Moon, and in doing so created a whole new kind of magical girl story that remains popular to this day. Arakawa Hiromu wrote and drew one of the best shounen comics of the 2000s with Fullmetal Alchemist, and then proved herself equally capable of easy-going slice of life stories with her farming comic Silver Spoon.

Then you have Takahashi Rumiko, who is a manga industry unto herself, with masterpieces ranging from Urusei Yatsura’s zany comedy to Maison Ikkoku’s relationship drama to Mermaid Forest’s horror; not to mention that her series Ranma ½ played a central role in introducing countless American fans to anime in the 1990s.

The popularity of these authors led to their work being adapted into similarly successful anime. But most of these anime, if not all of them, were directed by men. Sailor Moon made the careers of countless animators and creators at Toei, but the main directors—Sato Junichi, Ikuhara Kunihiko, Igarashi Takuyai—were men. The 2003 anime adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist I watched as a kid was directed by Mizushima Seiji and written by Aikawa Sho, both men. Urusei Yatsura served as the proving ground for one of anime’s most famous auteurs, Oshii Mamoru—a man.

Reigen:

Reigen looks like a businessman, but he's actually a con man psychic who pretends to exorcise ghosts, but he's actually a genius at manipulating people and talking them into improving their lives. Like, someone will come in complaining of a ghost that's making their back hurt and he will "exorcise" the ghost by giving them a massage.

His assistant is a teenage boy with real psychic powers, who believes Reigen's lies about being a psychic, so when there are real ghosts afoot, he calls in his assistant to handle the job for him and then praises his "progress" in "training". Through this kid, Reigen has somehow managed to convince a whole branch of a psychic terrorist organization that he has psychic powers, and he has somehow become the brains and mission control when they need to fight off the rest of the terrorist organization.

Even though he's just a powerless con man, Reigen's charisma and ability of speech is so powerful that he can convince supervillains to get a real job and like 20 powerful psychics that he's actually a grandmaster psychic stronger than them.

Aikawa mamoru:

This high-school teacher believes in eugenics and wants to become a god and implement his ideas. The god thing is because he was transported in a survival game with that exact goal and if he becomes god he can do about everything he wants (or so he believes) so he'd release loads of mindless killers on Earth and make it survival of the fittest. He kills humans without blinking and when he's eventually killed he's like "Huh, look at that, my theory was right. I was weak so I died. Neat."

He saw his dad kill himself and the only thing he thought was (paraphrased) "What a loser. Couldn't be me."

His mommy kink is the only normal thing about this guy.

Not really in a way, but it does make her stand out!! I like her more for her personality to be completely honest, but it wouldn’t be the same without her design.

18, angst or comfort? Or both?

Angst all the way, i hate seeing her sad but ein revenge au is just angst. Full angst. For everyone, not just ein.

But theres room in my heart for comfort too!

I watch things at the speed of molasses so I’m just getting to High Rise Invasion ep 8, but Mamoru Aikawa is my favorite thing so far, haven’t heard much about him so we’ll see how long he stays alive
