Yeah, just mentioned this in a post i reblogged on my main blog, but I'm actually getting ready to finish 'Sins of The Fathers' and yeah, I'm not gonna lie...I have mixed feelings about the fact.

anyway, the object lockdown/lockout saga is an analog horror webseries sorta

object lockdown was an old kids tv show which was aired in the late 90s/early 2000s which was abruptly canceled for no discernible reason

years later found-footage video channel was created which uploaded "recovered" footage of a planned sequel series but as with most analog horror it quickly became obvious that something was wrong(tm)

while it at first only had a small cult following, it eventually got a lot of traction and even gained the attention of the og shows creators

after a lot of back and forth, a lot of legal ahit and a bunch of petitions the original show was eventually picked back up again

Hey everyone, I have been seeing a lot of good a hat in time au's and I have been inspired by each and every one of them. I have an idea for an au myself but I am not sure if I want to reveal it yet or not. Basically, I am writing the au as a story on Wattpad and I have started to make sketches of the characters and how they will look in the story. I really want to let you guys know about my idea, but I am a little worried about the possibility of my story being taken. But, If I don't reveal my idea, I feel there may be a chance that someone will come up with a similar idea and then I won't be able to present my au. So now I ask you guys, as a newbie who is a little self-conscious about admitting her creativity and ideas, what should I do. Should I start talking about my au or should I wait till I am more prepared. (I already know what all is going to happen in the story and how the characters will behave as well as who the new characters are. I just need to have more time to actually write the story and finish the character sketches.)

A good chunk of this was brainstormed with help from the ever wonderful @cyndersquall / @cynderarts

Story notes under the “Keep Reading” 

(Keep in mind that i’ll be using “you” to refer to hypothetical in game actions as if this is a game that you can play) 

The start of the story is Hat kid waking up in their GummiShip (aka the ship from the game which honestly reminds me a lot of a gummi ship anyway), not remembering who they are or why they’re there, but seeing that the ship is going “home” and decides to wait. 

One the way there, they are stopped by the mafia per how it happens in the game, and gets flung out into Mafia Town - the first world

Mafia town goes very similar to how it goes in the game, except theres no time pieces to collect - Hat kid is just trying to help. Due to her amnesia she knows she’s *supposed* to be able to summon a keyblade, but can’t seem to maintain it or summon it when she wants, so she uses magic instead (she learns that she can slow time with a spell she finds in her hat). At the end of the whole debacle, Mustache girl attempts to steal the keyblade but fails, and vows to get her own keyblade so that she can defeat the mafia once and for all. the “key” is not found in this level (Thats for the finale)

Dead bird studios is also similar, but instead of the time piece both of the birds want to use the keyblade as a prop. The crows are definitely nobodies but the Conductor doesn’t seem to know, care or mind. The end of this one is the same - the winner is the one you fight, but you’re actually freeing them from darkness that’s taken over their heart due to the harsh competitiveness in their hearts that causes them to lash out. The “key” in this one is either one of the Conductor’s knives, or DJ Grooves mic, depending on who you fight. 

As for Subcon, i obviously have a lot more planned for this one. In this level, you encounter both Snatcher (The Prince’s Heartless) and MoonJumper (The Prince’s Nobody). You piece together after the stealth level in Vanessa’s manor that they are connected to the same person and you have to fight snatcher in order to get the prince’s heart and return it to MoonJumper. Once you have beaten snatcher, you have to fight MoonJumper, and return his heart to him, turning him back into the Prince. Once you’ve turned him back, he teams up with you to fight Vanessa, and is actually helpful (unlike say, a certain duck COUGH COUGH). The “key” in this area is Vanessa’s crown. He thanks HK by telling her that she is always welcome in his kingdom. 

HK finds Mustache Girl on her ship, and after berating and beating down HKs spirit with some very cruel words, manages to actually steal the keyblade and uses it to unlock some terrible corner of darkness to use against the mafia. HK has to get herself set, and goes on a final confrontation - getting help from all her friends along the way. At the end of the fight, she forgives Mu, and as it turns out, the medallion around her neck is the final key. She unlocks it and the darkness in the world is chased away by the light - saving the planet from a dark fate. 

They all want her to stay, but rather than chasing them off with a broom, she just says that she has to go home, and they let her go. before leaving however, we learn that Mustache girl *can* wield her own keyblade (#sequel bait)

The end of the story is bittersweet, but i’m still hammering out the details there (They include Bow!) so i’m not posting them just yet.

Why is Ursala the Dark Lord in the Miitopia Au?

Because I’m scared of her and on a whim decided she was gonna be the villain.

There’s a story reason but I put it under the cut because it would be a little long. That and I’m rambling.

Story reason, since this story is a spiritual sequel to another AU (Of which Ursula was specifically in as an “underling” to the previous Dark Lord) she steals part of the excess magic that the last Dark Lord had.

Which is why in the Neskdor Arc, Floyd was considered a traitor since he was also working with her before he learned she was tormenting a 10 year old girl. She was that petty because Ava saved an entire country with two adults and a teenager. She really wanted to mess with a child because said child beat her. All of the Neskdor teammates sans Ava are still kids to her (which is why she underestimates Boyfriend like the previous Dark Lord did to his own previous hero) and thinks she’ll easily win due to the feud both Floyd and Boyfriend have. Luckily for Floyd, Boyfriend does not want to see him dead, so he saves him.

Like the previous Dark Lord, Ursula suffers from hubris, and thus it becomes her downfall. The teammates become so close due to her kidnapping they pull a “Chihiro’s Run”: Working together to escape alive. They actually do escape before Ursula steals all of their faces before they got to Krakaton, and that’s when Adam (one of the previous teammates in Chihiro’s Run, now turned Great Sage) finds them. At this point, Ava had just entered Haven Hollow and Ursula’s plan starts falling apart.

Even Snatcher, the previous Dark Lord doesn’t agree with tormenting a 10 year old who has no idea what the fuck is going on, and he should know: In AHIT, he did just that! That’s how petty and hubris-filled Ursula is in this AU.

Also, she doesn’t know of the Guardian Spirit’s existence, and thinks the other adults on her are her only help. The Guardian Spirit in this AU is also an adult and is firmly on her side, and constantly warns her of the Dark Lord.

Too long, didn’t bother to explain further: Ursula is a fucking bitch and I hate her as much as I fear her.

It is late at night and I feel like rambling about my writing. Deal with it, dear people.

My writing can best be summarized as bittersweet nowadays. I end up slipping into it without meaning to, and it usually comes out better for it. Crack is all well and good, and it has it's place in my writing too, but the leading tone is bittersweet. If you wanna check the stuff out yourself, look for Kayuri on Ao3.

My first main fics (Mutatink, can be found on here too) were a foray into body horror, the twisting of a mind and identity issues that come with it. It stuck, and these two pieces are what pretty much shaped my entire writing style. The first story was written in a flash, 90 minutes of just vomiting onto the pages. The sequel was the work of 2 weeks writing every day in school. It was for the longest time my longest fic. I still love these stories. They were my first true pieces I had no problem at all with.

My next fic I really acknowledge as a proper fic was word vomit again. A Hollow Knight fic that I wrote to work through my grief. I didn't read it again since posting. I don't want to read it again. But I still like it. It just hurts me to read it.

Then we have my Transformers fics. I didn't post them here. The Fate-series. Privately called Rafwave series. This was the point I really specialized. I have countless AU's for these fics, all a tad different. This was the point I first broke the 15k word mark. I adore these stories to pieces. They made me cackle like a deranged person, they were flash fiction. The first part was written late at night, revised on the bus. Someone dies, wakes up in the past, gets twisted. The sequel was a matter of two weeks work, a run from other story ideas. I wrote 12k words flat in less than seven days. I am working on an expanded version of this, a work including more characters in the same situation since november last year. That one has over 20 pages written already and I haven't even finished writing for season one of Transformers Prime. I have ideas, but I cannot put them to paper. I love the ideas, but I cannot write. As long as I finish it this year I count myself happy. It is already longer than a novella by now.

Then we have my current WiP series. An AHIT series, stories I write chapters in flash fiction in one go. For all that I loathe writing multi-chapter stories, these are ones I like. Here I brought forth my three darling characters. Meant to be one-off characters they became a staple. They appear again and again and I cannot bear to lose them. They are here to stay, and I cannot begrudge that. These stories are dark. They twist the characters away from humanity. It's a series about transformations, about original characters that are never named turning into the canon characters of AHIT. People die. People forget themselves. People kill. It's so much like Mutatink it feels like coming home to write for it. It makes me relax after stressful days, and I cannot help but love @lost-seal for listening to my rambles about it. It's my first true foray into writing second person perspective. My three characters that return are all unique. They are as alive as I can get them. Writing for this is giving me a rush I haven't had since Mutatink. Writing it feels simultaneously wonderful and almost horrifying and shameful both. This series is what I start on when I want to hurt characters. When I want to make them stumble and break, mold them into something else.

I have other ideas. Not published yet, but they brew. As I write this, I realize how terrible some of them are. Not as in "oh god the idea is bad" but as in "these characters will suffer"-terrible. I for one can't wait for writing them.

Another character for my A Hat In Time sequel idea, Thor. An inventor who gets commissions from across the galaxy to build all kinds of contraptions and machines. He’s not exactly picky to any jobs either, so who knows if he’s been unknowingly been giving HK’s adversaries a helping hand?

It was a strange feeling, knowing you weren't wanted from pretty much the exact second you came into the world. The very first thing the child knew was her creator's agitated scream as she got a good look at her. Since then, Vanessa wasn't shy about letting the girl know just how wrong she was, what a mistake she had ended up as. And sometimes, when she was angry enough, whether it be at the girl, or just in general... The child shuddered as she adjusted the bandages around her head, lifting the tray so she could take the former queen her tea. She tried to ignore the cold, plastering a smile on her face as she presented her creator with the tea set. "Hmm?" Vanessa looked down, surveying the set. "Did you remember the cream and sugar?" What little color there was in the girl's face drained. She KNEW she'd forgotten something. Setting the set down, she quickly turned to go back to the kitchen to fetch the condiments...only for the hem of her pants to get caught in a snag in the floor. With a tiny shriek, the child went tumbling to the floor...bringing the whole tea set down with her. She barely had time to register the liquid soaking into her clothes and down her face before Vanessa let out a shriek of her own. "YOU CLUMSY LITTLE...!" The next thing the girl knew, the icy witch had grabbed a handful of her hair, roughly pulling her up. "CAN'T YOU DO EVEN ONE THING CORRECT?! IT'S NOT ENOUGH YOU COULDN'T EVEN COME OUT RIGHT, DID YOU HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY USELESS?!" Tears started pouring down the child's face as Vanessa started to drag her to the basement. "You were a MISTAKE. You know that, don't you?" Only sobbing answered her as the girl reached up to rub her eyes. "You were supposed to be different. You were supposed to be HIM." Throwing the door open, she roughly tossed the child in, giving her a pointed glare. "Now stay there, and be quiet. I don't want to see your face for the rest of the day!" With that, she slammed the door behind her, leaving the girl to cry alone in the darkness, wishing, again, that she could have been different.
