Katniss usually regress when she's too anxious or stressed, she's often with Peeta when it happens

At first Peeta was a bit confused but he understood quickly and soon he became her caregiver (I could write hours about him as a caregiver, but that's for another time)

I think Katniss is a really clingy little, like really clingy, I can totally see her hugging Peeta leg and not let go

So she's really cuddly too, like laying on the couch with her head on Peeta's lap as he strokes her hair

Obviously that's just with the people she feels safe, because as soon as her mom walks in she becomes really quiet and fidgety

But she can be really whiny, if things don't go her way she starts mumbling and make puppy dog eyes and poor Peeta who just tried to make her go to bed finds himself singing to her and telling her stories for at least another hour

She doesn't like sleeping due to her nightmares, that's why she whines a lot

I think Gale would help her with age regression too

Not as much to be called a caregiver, but quite a lot

Katniss often tries to convince him to give her piggy back rides around the house

And they just lay in the grass playing like princesses and drinking tea, sometimes even convincing Effy and Haymitch to join their playdates

Gale and Haymitch are forced to dress up. Because they are princesses.

Another think Katniss does is laying between Gale and Peeta while they cuddle her and try to make her fall asleep

That's the only occasion when they don't argue

Basically she's just a big big cutie, just like all little <333333

Bad Batch season 2 thoughts

This was originally going to be my thoughts about the finale, but it seems like everything I want to say has already been said so here are my thoughts about the season as a whole :) (quick warning this is going to be all over the place lol)

Such an amazing season, oh my goodness! I loved the first season so much, and I think this one is even better!

I love that each character had their own development, with Tech, Echo and Crosshair being in the spotlight, as opposed to really only Hunter, Omega and a little bit of Wrecker last season

Tech: this dude is literally the best! I’ve always been a Hunter girly but this season they were neck and neck 👀 I love that even though Tech’s the brainiac of the group he seemed to learn so, so much. He learned a lot about people and himself. In the cave with Omega he was able to understand her more and her upset about Echo leaving, get her to understand his own thoughts about everything that’s happened so far, and figure out for himself some of these thoughts that he has. And through Phee he’s learned the importance of preserving things, not for monetary value, but for sentimentality. I’m sure with being a soldier, sentimental things were few and far between. It was important to travel lightly. Another thing I love with Tech is just how much of a badass he is. There are just so many times throughout the season where he was doing the coolest things and being confident during it. Ahh I love him! And lastly, his sacrifice, Omg it’s hurts. It hurts so much. I’m praying praying praying that he didn’t actually die. It shows how much he loves his family though 🥹 so yeah, Tech is amazing, I'm in denial about his death, and I want him and Phee to be together forever.

Speaking of Phee, I love her SO much! She's so fun and I love how important preserving people's cultures are to her. She seems like a great adventurer, even if she stretches the truth during the retelling of the stories. Ugh, I want those two nerds to be together forever!

Echo: I’m so happy that Echo found a new purpose this season. I missed him so much when he left, but based on his stances through the first season and this season, it makes so much sense. This isn’t to fault Hunter for not wanting to join him and Rex though. It’s clear how important this is to Echo, and I'm so happy he listened to his heart and went to go fight for his brothers with Rex.

Hunter: what a cautious, caring and calculating guy. I think it’s clear from the start of the season that Hunter wants to stay out of the radar of the Empire. I think he was a bit lost season. A solider’s life is the only thing he’s ever known. He’s good at it, and that’s how they make money. But with the empire growing and Cid becoming more suspicious with each episode, it’s clear that Hunter wants something different, better for his family and for Omega. Once he got to Pabu, I think that vision became clearer. He saw how happy everyone was, how happy Omega was; what more could a leader hope for? Sadly, THE FINALE TOOK THAT AWAY! 😭😭😭 now Hunter has to do exactly what he was avoiding all this season: face the empire. It’s worth it for his girl and brothers though 🥹 also side note Hunter was so pretty this season 😍so pretty and so buff and so fatherly hnnnggg

Omega: ahhhhh the bebo is not such a bebo anymore 🥹 I’m so proud of how much she’s grown. I’ll admit, in the first season I was annoyed when she kept running away and putting herself into danger that could have been avoided. However, I think that now makes her character growth this season so much more satisfying. She can really hold her own now! And she’s grown so much in maturity! I love that there were plenty of opportunities for her to still be a kid though. Getting excited for treasure, being a bit gullible with Phee’s (maybe true) stories, making new friends, and so much more. I wish we got to see more of her training. It’s clear she’s made a lot of progress; I would have loved to see her brothers training her with her and how to be stealthy and stuff like that. I just love this girl so much and she’s so smart and just a little ray of sunshine and I just hope everything will be okay next season 🥹

Wrecker: I love this man SO MUCH! Even though we didn’t get immense character growth, I think he still showed a lot of instances with more maturity than last season. I’m completely okay with him not getting a full character arc or something. He’s just such a fun-loving character, it would be difficult to see him go through a whole arc, in my opinion. Anyway, he gave Gungi his food when he noticed Gungi looking at it, as opposed to last season when he almost took Omega’s food until Hunter stepped in. He’s better at stealth now, and made that rocket launcher or whatever out of scraps?! Ahh that was so cool! I just hope after everything that’s happened this season, that Wrecker is still light hearted and fun 🥺

Crosshair: oh goodness. What a doozy. I think Crosshair is one of the most interesting characters ever written in Star Wars. Even though we only got about 3 episodes with him, he grew so much. Cody got him questioning the empire, and then the outpost and Hemlock going after the Batch really sealed the deal for him. All while having plenty of badass moments! I’m so scared to figure out what’s going to happen to him next season. It’s clear how much he cares about his brothers and sister, going through TORTURE and being POISONED just to not give up information about them 😭 what a guy. He's lost so much even though he thought being a soldier for the empire was the right thing to do. He's done so much for the empire and what have they given him in return? Nothing. Heck, he waited for a MONTH on that platform. I'm glad he's beginning to realize that he truly is just a number to the empire, like Hunter said. Crosshair I love you. I feel like there’s so much more I could say about him but I would be rambling even more than I already am.

Also, the music this season was out of this world! Need More Speed is an absolute banger and I'm so glad Tech got to be the reason for it

I think next season will take on a darker tone. Tech is presumed dead for now, Crosshair and Omega are with the Empire, Cid is out of the picture, and Wrecker, Hunter and Echo are grieving while trying to find a lead on where Omega might be. It's seeming like there will be a few plots going on at once too.

I'm very interested to learn more about Omega's 'sister' too! And why she's working with the Empire.

It's safe to say waiting for the next season will be grueling! I can't wait though

Every demigod who has ever been at camp half blood has a soft spot for Annabeth Chase; Alabaster is no exception to this.

In fact, his affection and respect for her runs deeper given how much Luke had talked about having her join their ranks. She's quick witted, tactful, righteous, passionate, courageous, and loyal to her family and friends. She is everything they stand for, the prime motivator for all that Luke had done up to this point, and that is what makes it all the more heartbreaking when Ethan stabs her at Williamsburg bridge.

It was never supposed to end this way.

Alabaster's heart skips a beat as a roar that isn't his own echoes across the city.

"GET BACK. NO ONE TOUCHES HER."

A part of Alabaster, in that moment, wants to jinx Percy and capture Annabeth away. They had sons and daughters of Asclepius on their side that could heal her. From the war standpoint, taking her could even provide an ultimatum for the other side to surrender; after all, no matter how infuriating it was to see it himself, Percy loved her. But then again, who doesn't? She was the kind of girl people fought wars for, even though she could damn well do the fighting on her own. But that doesn't matter. What matters to their armies is this: if they could bring an Olympian down to her knees with Annabeth Chase, then a stygian bathed demigod should hardly be an issue.

That's how Luke would think, at least.

But Luke's not here any more.

Alabaster looks to Kronos for instructions, and fights to appear expressionless. He's not supposed to care so much. They had their plans. And if a daughter of Athena wishes to fight on the losing side of the war, that's her choice to make. Let her fight for the mother who damned her to this life. But even then, he searches for the son of Hermes behind those golden eyes, and wonders if he still cares for her.

In the end, they reach a stalemate. Demigods die on both sides of the bridge, Percy speeds off with the son of Apollo, and Alabaster selfishly prays to his mother to spare Annabeth from the crossroads of death so that he could see her alive one more time.

AMAZINGGGGGGG AHHHHH I LOVE THE IDEA OF AL HAVING A THING FOR ANNABETH!??!?!/ And the way you had it tie into his loyalty to Luke and the TA's cause but also his own sentiments for CHB—chef's kiss. PERFECT. Annabeth and Al have quickly become one of my favorite duos to explore; I think they actually do share a lot in common, but what makes them interesting I guess is the difference of how they deal with the circumstances they've been handed.

An idea suddenly struck you,  “What if I wish for you to stay with me forever?” 

“Your wish will always be fulfilled Sir.” 

“I wish for you to stay with me forever.” 

“Your wish is granted, Sir” 

With that, another burst of light blinded you and you’re left alone in your room again, back to square one. Why did you think that you could escape this lonely life destined for you?

One day as you’re going back home from another movie, you saw someone carrying a gunny bag.

The scene felt awfully familiar. You approached the person and realised it was a girl this time around.

“Hi, my name is Taeyeon. I’m from the Girls Generation Genie Team. We work to grant the wishes of all lonely kids in the area. Could you help me with this bag of supplies?” 

“Yes! Yes!” 

Maybe being a lonely kid wasn’t so bad afterall.

Hopper & lonnie (anon)

So I’ve been reading your theories about Hopper being an interject alter who is going to figure it out after his “death” after season three. I really love it, I think it fits so well. But I was wondering something. 

Why does Will view Hopper, in particular, as someone who could protect him? 

If it was just about being an authority figure, he could have chosen any other cop. And I’m not sure it was about Hopper as a person either, because until the events, it’s implied he and Joyce aren’t close anymore. They had something in high school but Hopper moved away years ago and is kind of an outside observer in her life now, up until Will vanishes. 

So why Hopper? Why would Will attach so strongly to him? 

Then I noticed the time frame. I’m not a hundred per cent sure, but I think Hopper returns to Hawkins the year before, or maybe the same year, Lonnie leaves. Which makes a lot of sense.

Back in episode two, Hopper tells the woman he’s with how sleepy Hawkins is. There hasn’t been a murder since 1923 or a su*cide since 1969. And people keep making a big deal of how he’s “a big city cop” and “things like that don’t happen in Hawkins”. It’s implied that Hopper is used to seeing darker crimes, and would recognize them if they were happening on his patch. And then shortly after he arrives in town Lonnie - a bully who relished controlling his family and loved to freeload off Joyce’s hard work - packs up and leaves for a more anonymous life in the city. It’s deeply suspicious. Why would he do that? What was he afraid of? 

I think he was afraid Hopper would discover the depths of his abuse of Will. 

I don’t think Hopper actually did find any evidence of that before he left, or ran him out of town or anything. Hopper seems to view Lonnie as a deadbeat, but he still wants to call him, even after Joyce tells him about the verbal abuse Lonnie used to give Will, and we see Hopper look discomfited. But he still pushes the Lonnie thing and wants to get him involved in Will’s disappearance, like he would any other dad, so I don’t think he has any idea of the truth.

What I think might have happened was that Hopper caught Lonnie in some minor crime, and pulled him to rights on it in front of Will. It could have been anything. Maybe Lonnie was drunk and mouthing off and Hopper physically restrained him. Maybe the family were going hungry to pay his debts and Hopper intervened. We don’t know. But I think there was something, and Hopper was very much the “bigger guy” in the situation. The alpha male. And for Will, it was the first time he’d seen his dad defeated like that.

And then shortly afterwards, Lonnie left. And in Will’s little kid mind, the two things HAD to be connected. Hopper scared Lonnie away! I wouldn’t be surprised if Hopper spooked Lonnie. Maybe he got in his face and said something like “I know guys like you” or “What else are you up to, out here in the woods? What else are you hiding, huh?” And Hopper is thinking meth cooking or something, but Lonnie’s mind goes to darker places and wonders how much he might really know. 

When Will first sees the Demogorgon it’s as a faceless man in the woods. And he runs home and tries to call the police. Maybe he thinks it’s Lonnie or his friends and is hoping Hopper will save him again.

I just think something must have happened to make Will have such trust in Hopper as a protector, even if Hopper himself is unaware of it. I hope we get to see the flashback, and young Will forming that idea. Maybe as Hopper is wandering around the death scape figuring out what he really is, this memory will come to him as a flashback and he’ll be confused. Maybe he / the audience will misinterpret it as being about “protecting Joyce” . But we’ll see Will right there and join the dots. 

Side note: I wonder if Lonnie really was cooking meth? PCP / biker meth was big among poor communities in the Eighties, and it’s a scary drug. It causes hallucinations and increases aggression. It might have made Lonnie into more of a monster when he was on it, and if he gave it to Will to get some sick kick out of seeing a kid on drugs, the hallucinogen might have been what unlocked Will’s powers. The blurring of reality and nightmares. I have no real evidence for this except the historical context, but it would explain a lot.

This actually makes a lot of sense on why Lonnie may have left and hates Hopper . He would be getting in the way of his “dr*g business” and other sick activities. Lonnie’s gf even has a biker shirt from Harley davidson- with the eagle logo and their saying “live to ride’. Which would imply lonnie is also in such biker circles. Harley davidson in the 80s had dr*g gangs too.

* the whole convo of Cynthia replacing 50 something Lonnie for a “younger model”. Is foreshadowing of Lonnie doing that to her. He replaced Joyce with a gal in her 20s. And will prob pick another young girl to use in s4/5. Like the movies hint his next gf is about Jonathan’s age-ick. They also called it “bathtub cr*nk” which is sketchy given the bathtub is what Will/mf fears and how the sensory deprivation tank is later called a tub by el . Becky even said he would get terry high and throw her in the tank/tub.

And s4 movies have quite a few biker gangs . Also would make the fact in s2 Will was forcibly injected with a needle more sinister. We see on the TV in s2 punkie brooster says they had a nightmare of having a needle forced into their arm - similar to Will

 And in s2 Billy (aka William) was injected in the neck and threatened with a bat. And in s3 robin and Steve were injected in the neck and got high. I thought hopper being in a upsidedown reflection of a spoon was more of a matrix DID ref. But there could be more to it. Like you mentioned such things were cooked in spoons. It would also explain Lonnie’s “debts”.

And yeah in the st books brenner gave the subjects drugs which activated/strengthened their powers yikes . Yikes . Yikes

EVEN Nancy’s proof Tom is on dr*gs is a symptom of m*th use or withdrawl from it-excessive sweating (like all the flayed in s2-3). M*th causes hyperthermia (body is at a higher temp than usual)-so they like it cold!!!!! ahhhhh. Even clammy hands that she mentioned is a symptom of m*th use. in children it can even cause seizures- like Will :(

It also does take some chemisty knowledge to COVERT various substances (including fertilizer and other chemicals) to make m*th- which reminds me of the kids saying they can convert one substance into another (when referencing why the possessed are eating chemicals). I CRACKED THE CODE!!!!!!!!!!

when m*th is made via soil it first is made into a highly corrosive liquid which is sometimes green-like the Russian lab.

Byler: Their Motivations in Stranger Things 4

hi! so i’ve lurked on byler/stranger things tumblr since 2016 but i just have so much to say and am so obsessed with theorizing and writing and picking up on easter eggs so i thought i just had to have somewhere to spill all my thoughts. i’ve read pretty much every single byler theory there is out there (lmao the hyperfixation is just wayyy too strong) and have also looked into a lot of stuff regarding will and how he was able to do all of the stuff he did in the upside down. a few questions of many that i’ve been thinking about recently have to do with mike and will’s motivations for a lot of plot points that happen in season 4 particularly. i’ll start from the first one we see: will’s painting 

anyone who has been watching the show will of course pick up on will’s underlying feelings for mike and the subtext/hints that have been sprinkled in the show since season 1 (literally the first episode lmao). his feelings are known by the audience at this point and in contrast to mike, there is a lot less ambiguity surrounding it. mike is a whole other post, which many people have covered already, but what i’m interested in is what prompted will to start the painting in the first place?  el says that “will has been painting a lot,” implying that he’s been working on the piece for a while and that it holds a lot of importance for him. this has been covered by so many other posts and is to be expected. but other than mike’s upcoming visit to california, was there a specific moment or something that happened to will that would make him start working on the painting in the first place? we know how deeply will loves and cares for mike and it makes sense that he’d want to make something for him. will initially planned to give mike the painting at the airport (but we all know how that went lol), so it’s fair to assume that the painting wasn’t initially meant to be used for a love confession to mike. it was a display of love from will, but he wouldn’t give it to mike as a confession in such a public place and of course in front of el (and argyle who doesn’t even know mike). from the way things are going and from the hints we’ve been blessed with regarding volume 2, it seems like the painting is going to be used as a plot device for a confession. but when/if we do get that confession, i’m so curious to see if the duffers explore why/when will started the painting in the first place. what would be SUPER interesting would be if there is some flashback scene between will and mike that hinted to will even further that his feelings could be reciprocated one day. the timeline of season 3′s ending is what sticks out to me the most here. after mike and will’s fight, we do get that tiny but incredibly meaningful scene between them in the last episode of season 3 that hints toward their feelings for one another: “what if you want to join another party?” “not possible.”, but my thinking is, what if there is another flashback scene in here that will had on his mind when he started the painting? there is a 3 month gap between the battle of starcourt and the byers/el moving away. what if something else happened between mike and will during that time that would have given him the confidence to start the painting?  the reason why i think there could be a flashback is that it’s almost 100% likely that nothing happened between the two once will moved away, seeing as it’s explicitly stated that they drifted because they weren’t talking to each other.  ahhhhh i don’t know. this is driving me crazy...volume 2 really can’t come soon enough  anyways i hope this makes sense bc it’s mostly just a lot of brain rot tbh. maybe i’ll post more theories and stuff later lmaooo

“hello atiny!” yuri said, smiling into the camera and waving. she watched the comments start to roll in, and waited for a bit for some people to join.

she started playing some music, she played her “chill vibes” playlist, the first song that started playing was “love poem” by IU.

“ohhhhh i love this song!” yuri said, smiling into the camera, and nodding her head to the beat.

she scrolled through the comments, before the chorus of the song began, and she sang along softly with IU. she looked up into the camerea, and smiled, she loved to sing IU songs.

“ahhhh, yuri you could have been in the vocal line! awh thank you, hehehehe, as much as i love singing, rapping is much more fun. for me at least.” yuri read a comment and smiled, she was glad people liked her vocals.

“i hope to show my vocals more some though, hehe. should i sing some songs for you guys today?” yuri asked, laughing when a lot of excited “YES”! comments flew in, and nodded her head.

“your wish is my command!” yuri cheered, and began warming up her vocal chords, waiting for a new song to begun. the next song to play was written in the stars, by wendy. and yuri clapped her hands, and started singing along.

it felt good to sing again, especially in english again. she enjoyed the sensation and closed her eyes for awhile, before opening them in when she faded out.

“da da da da, i love this song, i love this duo. their vocals definitely fit well together!” yuri exclaimed, reading through the comments once again.

“yuri you sound like an angel, i think you guys are the angels here! but thank you, it’s very much appreciate, hehe.” yuri said in english, and winked at the camera, before giggling into her hand. she could feel her ears getting warm, and she nervously pulled on them, avoiding looking into the camera.

“um, moving on! what song do you guys want me to sing?” yuri clapped her hands, scooting in and attempting to read the comments on her phone.

“ahhhhh i love you by the rose? i love that song! lets do it.” yuri smiled and looked up the song. this song was so beautiful to her, she loved listening to the song, even if it got her into her feels.

yuri swayed along to the beat, and began singing at the chorus. as she sang the song, memories of her and yuqi came playing back in her mind like she was watching a movie of them two, and she softly frowned, forgetting about singing the song, or that she was even on live.

she missed yuqi so much, and even though it had only been almost a month since she last saw yuqi, it felt like she has been without her for so long.

she would do anything to go and see the shy smiles and feel the gentle touch of the yuqi’s hand against hers, and the feeling of yuqi’s soft lips against hers.

she felt tears roll down her cheeks, and she was quickly pulled back into reality, she scratched at her eye to attempt to cover up her tears, and sat up straight again, looking into the camera.

“that song...the emotions. it never fails to bring me into my feels, hehe. thats when you know its a good song, when you can’t even relate to it, but it still gets in your feels. you know what i’m saying?” yuri chuckled, sighing when the comments agreed with her. even though that was a lie, and it hurt to not be truthful with her fans, it’s what she had to do. to protect herself, her group and yuqi.

she talked with atiny for a little longer, reading as many comments as possible to try to get the thought of her girlfriend out of her head, that mission seemed to be impossible, though.

she forced the best smile she could at this moment, and started playing with the vlive filters , she played with all of them. the cute, the silly, and even the ugly ones.

but even that reminded her of yuqi, she thought back onto when yuqi had called her, while she was live.

“ah ah, do the flower filter!! awhhh, you look so cute!” yuri said through the phone, and you could hear the soft giggle she let out, fans screaming from the cute interaction they were watching

yuqi was putting on different filters due to yuri’s command, and was posing at the camera, definitely not blushing at yuri’s compliments. she definitely was.

“use the one that’s a few slots under the flower one!” yuri laughed, laughing even harder when she heard yuqi scream out.

“no! i’m not using that one, what are you trying to do, ruin my image?” yuqi screamed in protest, yuri recommended the ugliest and silliest filter that was even on the vlive app.

“come on yuqi, have some fun!” yuri wheezed, still trying to recover from her laughing attack.

“i hate you, i really i do.” yuqi huffed.

yuri sighed, there was no use. she wasn’t going to be able to do this vlive without breaking down into tears again, because everything reminded her of her.

“i had fun today atiny! i have to go practice now, thanks for hanging out with me today! have a nice day!” yuri cheered, waving goodbye to her fans, and hitting end.

she leaned back into her chair, throwing her head into her hands. today was just one of those days, where she missed yuqi unconditially, and nothing could get yuqi off of her mind.

yuri sighed once more, whipping her face and sniffling, before standing up and made her way towards the dance practice rooms.

she had work today, she just had to get through this. even if it absolutely sucked.

Seeing the clones going into retirement 😭 it made me so sad! I hope they get everything they deserve to have a good life after everything they’ve gone through.

My prediction for future episodes is that Omega will get captured and sent to the same planet where Crosshair is and they’ll work together to escape. Whether Cross will join the Batch after that…I don’t know

I’m thinking he’s starting to realize that he really doesn’t mean much to the empire. Even his sniper skills aren’t helping him much at this point, and soon he’ll be forced into retirement as they introduce stormtroopers.

I wish this season they’d done more Crosshair episodes. Even if they weren’t pivotal moments. Like a side mission even. Because at least for me, a lot of the side missions the Batch have done for Cid are weaker than last season. Some are good, like the ipsiun mines and Tech’s racing. But others, like the treasure episode with Phee and the one with Gungi, I think it would have been better to have a Crosshair episode. But those episodes just weren’t great for me personally

Anyway, I could go on and on about how amazing this episode was, ahh I just love it! I’ve loved seeing the posts with the screenshots of the ice vulture and the ending scene where Crosshair shoots Nolan. I think the rocks were definitely meant to be there. I didn’t notice that at first and I’m so happy people are pointing that out

HAPPY NEW YEAR

There are so many people I’ve met on this site, so many friends I’ve made. I joined tumblr only a few months ago, but my life has already drastically improved. I smile more and laugh more and I feel happier all the time, knowing that you all are just a click away. I’ve often heard people refer to tumblr as a hellsite, but I don’t fully agree with that. True, some things on here are crazy, but more than that, I’ve found people like me. I’ve found people who understand me, who think like me and feel like I do. Ya know, before I joined tumblr, I had never met another bisexual person(crazy, right?). Y’all have made life more enjoyable and happier and brighter, and for that, I’ll never be able to thank you enough.

Tsukishima knew that he was considered as one of those guys who basically ‘has it all’: looks, smarts, athletic ability, and a mouth that he knew how to use. And he liked to flaunt that he knew that, except it was pretty much a front for him to hide the fact that he was painfully insecure about a number of things. Thankfully, you had picked up on those things early on in your relationship, probably even while you were still friends, and had always reassured him that you were more than happy being his s/o. Except, sometimes you forgot how easily he got jealous.

Right now, he was watching you help a fellow classmate with his homework. He knew very well that people often approached you for homework help, you were just that smart. Except, Tsukishima noticed that this particular guy kind of approached you too often, far too often for his liking. And he also didn’t like the way he sat so close to you and lean in close to look over your shoulder when he could clearly see your notebook from where he was sitting. 

“Tch, doesn’t he know you already have a boyfriend,” Tsukishima muttered. Not even his music blasting through his headphones could distract him. He watched the guy you were tutoring lean a bit closer to you and that was it for Tsukishima. He stood up and strode over to your desk.

“Y/n. Let’s go,” he said, tapping you on your head. You looked up in surprise at your boyfriend.

“Huh?”

“I’m hungry. Let’s go to the cafeteria,” Tsukishima said, tossing a scowl at his classmate’s direction. The boy took the hint and closed his notebook.

“Yeah, thanks for your lesson, y/n. It helped a lot,” he smiled nervously.

“We’re not even finished,” you protested.

“Don’t worry. He got it, let’s go,” Tsukishima urged. Finally, you stood up and joined him as you left the classroom. Tsukishima was holding your hand in his, something he almost never did in public, and you quickly new something was up.

“Okay, what was that all about?” you finally asked.

“What was what all about?” Tsukishima looked away, feigning nonchalance.

“Well, I know for a fact that you’re rarely hungry enough to pull me with you to eat lunch and that you don’t really like the cafeteria food. Also, you look like you want to strangle me right now,” you enumerated.

“Correction: I want to strangle you 99% of the time,” he smirked. 

“It’s like you’re suddenly being clingy... Wait...” your mouth hung open in a mixture of surprise and giddiness. “Wait a minute. Are you jealous? Did you actually just drag me away for tutoring someone?” you laughed. Your boyfriend didn’t answer and instead adjusted his glasses, a sign that you were right.

“I was literally just tutoring him. You know I’m your s/o, right?” you giggled and elbowed his side.

“That’s because you’re too dense to notice he was interested in you,” he grumbled.

“Well, maybe if we held hands like this more often and did other things, he wouldn’t be interested in me,” you sang, flashing him a cheeky smile. Tsukishima scowled but instead of pulling his hand away, he leaned in quickly to kiss you on the cheek. 

“What? You asked for it,” he smirked at the caught off-guard expression on your face.

“Kei!” you gushed wrapping your arms around him. “Another! Another!” you chanted. 

“Nope. Sorry, once in a lifetime opportunity,” Tsukishima laughed as you pouted. 

“Fine. I’ll find another way,” you stuck your tongue out at him. Tsukishima rolled his eyes at you. Maybe he’ll do more of those public displays of affection things if it meant people would know you were his. But, maybe next time. There was nothing better than catching you off-guard.

Way of Kings Reread

This is my post Rhythm of War reread so if you don’t want spoilers for Rhythm of War then come back later. These are essentially just the notes I took during this read through so things like “Szeth is darkeyed” isn’t really stellar commentary but there are a few interesting things in here. Also this reread was like…very sporadic so I probably missed things.

I’m curious to see how Humans being voidbringers plays into Szeth’s punishment.

Interesting that they’re called the “shades”, perhaps referring to cognitive shadows?

It’s very interesting that without Sadeas and Gavilar, Dalinar has to learn how to be a politician. It’s clear that both men maneuver others while Dalinar is blunt force. Good character development, I really love it as a political scientist.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I think Gavilar was planning his death.

It’s interesting that Shardplate and Rsyhadium have no problem with humans using them but shardblades do.

On that note, holy fuck, I need to know what conversation prompted both Gavilar and Amaram to assume that someone trying to kill them had to be Thaidakar.
