than/rudy/raha is an interesting concept to me becauseee. th.ancred deals a lot with words unspoken. his most meaningful relationships are hurt because he focuses on action to the point of miscommunication. and meanwhile, aside from what he keeps hidden very intentionally, raha says a lot more in terms of affection. because (from his perspective) his time is almost up, and he wants to leave those relationships with the other knowing how he feels without any doubt. y’know………

I apologize in advance for dumping an essay in the notes of a silly post about the draw of mention-only characters...

HOWEVER, I feel like with Aiden specifically... I suspect that the degree of consistency in his characterization might come from people who have first taken the time to understand Lambert as a character before even touching Aiden. I think that many people who write and draw Aiden also have already put the effort into understanding what kind of person Lambert is, what kind of relationships he has and maintains, what he values in his personal life, and why Lambert expresses himself in the ways he does. 

Now, I'm not a Harry Potter fan, and I am just going off of the screenshot above... but it sounds like Daphne Greengrass is never canonically mentioned in relation to a well-known/main character. If Daphne is only brought up in a list, I would assume that she has only developed common character traits through the fandom, detached from the source material nearly entirely. 

With Aiden (and I am definitely biased because this is how I developed my understanding of his character,) it seems that The Witcher fandom has taken the handful of dialogue lines where he's mentioned and has tried to understand Aiden through the lens of a character we already know and love. 

After vaguely outlining to Geralt how he and Aiden met in Ellander after his contract with the Ogre went awry, Lambert had described Aiden as "the best man I'd ever met," and without going into an in-depth character analysis of both of these guys... I think the fandom understands what kind of person Lambert is and what type of person he would not only befriend but also defend in such a dramatic and emotional way. He told Geralt (to his face, mind you.) that despite the importance of their relationship --their history-- what he and Aiden had was "no comparison," and later (depending on if you allow him to kill Karadin.) that he doesn't know if he'll "be able to forgive" Geralt for what he has done. In my eyes, both these statements have huge implications. 

We have been given virtually no information about Aiden himself, but we sure as hell know a lot about Lambert. And through Lambert, we have developed a sense of understanding of who he might have been; a vibe, if you will. I think this is why he is so clockable in fanart as Aiden and not a ground-up built, wholehearted, original Witcher OC, no matter how unique his character design is and how drastically it varies, artist to artist. 

And I just think that's neat. (x)

Right off the bat this man is parking the car and glaring actual daggers if you try to get out and open the door yourself- he will dramatically roll over the car hood if you’re having a bad day and need a good laugh (his ego be damned if you’re having a bad day because what’s his point of living if-anyway I got sidetracked)

Holds onto the grocery cart like a toddler because he knows if he holds your hand you’ll gripe about not having both of your hands free

Will put his chin on your head and hands in your front Jean/ pant pockets as you stand in the deli wait line

If the store had a Starbucks (sorry pretty sure this is an only america thing, I’m sorry) will indulge and get the back tea while you get your little latte- gripes about how sucks and he can’t taste the Bergamont but he’ll do it

One time at a new super store you both were shopping and he got lost and he didn’t have his phone (like he would even use it) and so you were just happily looking at flowers when over the intercom you here your name followed by, ‘We have your husband up front. please come collect.”

Happy 9th Anniversary, Fnaf<3

Well this took 5-6 straight days of work<3 Totally worth it though!!! SUPER proud of the results<333

Along with this being an anniversary piece, I guess you could also consider this a love letter to modern fnaf! Of course I LOVE classic fnaf, but something about the Steel Wool era just... I dunno! It brings me so much unashamed joy!! I love the characters, the plot, story, writing, designs, playing the games(yes even SB)- maybe it's a bit rough around the edges, but there's nothing here that makes me hate it to any degree- it's all just so full of love from everyone who worked on it, and it makes me happy any time I see these characters or hear people discussing the story!! I've become more attached to some of the modern fnaf characters than I have to... honestly any character ever LMAO Maybe it's not for everyone, but I'll enjoy it no matter what! FNAF 4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I owe a lot to modern fnaf- it's the reason I have so many of my current friends! It's brought me close to so many people, and in-turn it's helped me get out of my comfort zone! I'm not going into detail here, but fnaf just brings me so much joy for so many reasons- and I believe in the future of this franchise!!! I believe in Steel Wool!!! I believe in everyone involved in making this franchise what it is today, and whatever it'll be in the future!!!!

YEA NO THE THING IS THEY SOMEHOW MADE THE FIGHT BOTH DRAGGED OUT AND RUSHED AT THE SAME TIME, HOW

Ig the whole show just focused on a lot of, unimportant stuff? Like the chaos council is the biggest offender I think. There so many scene of them that could've just been completely cut, or used so differently like what the fuck was the point of having four full scenes of them either revealing something that could've been guessed on context clues (the district devide, I think that was pretty obvious in like, the very first episode come on we didn not need to learn that at the end of the show) and than three others of them completely dodging the question of what the fuck are they even to each other "we are what we are always has been always will be" bitch please explain yourselves already or shut up dhsghd

While we're at the chaos council I think like, they were not the best but not beyond saving, literally just give the bloodthirsty cruel and unreasonable characteristics from the stupid fucking baby everyone got sick off by episode three to the the main Mr Dr sir Eggman, like yes I get the angry baby because the og Eggman is a manchild thing they were going for, but this literaly just leaves the MAIN guy in the MIDDLE feel fuckinng mid, like have the baby have his tantrums, but it's MrSir that suggests the energy extractor despite the life risk to Sonic that it poses, let him hunt down Sonic with absolute tunnel vision of a mad man looking to murder instead of the fucking baby no one takes seriously, let him be in his giant mech and revel in the destruction he's causing.

I'm still not done with the council actually fuck it, you know how minster sir doctor egg man said he has to do everything himself and than we literally, don't, see, him, do anything by himself besides hunting Nine down at the end of the first season, come on. There was something there with the little interrogation scene in the second season, which was great, loved that, why is that the only breadcrumb we got why... he should've personally zapped nine on multiple ocassions

Next stop, the giant fucking hole in the Void why was that just there to eat the emerald and never be mentioned again "devours all life" my ass it's just a black splotch of ink for all we know. what if that upped the stakes, while Nine was fucking around with the Prism and everyone else being difficult that thing would just threaten to swallow EVERYTHING UP if everyone didn't get their act together in time.

The chaos emerald also, was there just so that the writers didn't have to put shadow in the story much i think. like dedass because if he got shattered oh no you would have to have a shadow in every universe too much work, put him in the Void and let him do nothing.

He WAS IN THE VOID WITH THE MOTHER SHIP IN THE SECOND SEASON HE SHOULVE TORN THAT BITCH UP THE SECOND HE SAW IT "we gonna do this together" proceeds to do nothin and just stare into the Void as the Void stares back

There was also just so much missed potential in the other versions interacting with each other and the enviroments theyre in. The begining of the third season had so much promise, you know during the second season we got little crumbs here and there and in the third season the full feast type deal. Like the bosscage gang in New yoke, the jungle bros in the dystopian city they saw only sprinkes off back home, how are they gonna react to that, with the battle bruised resistance and so on and so forth you get me, and while I did enjoy Nine being absolutely off the rails right of the bat — WHAT the fuck was that about him flipping an entire universe sir how do you have so much power and why have you not done it ever again — they were again thrusted into the big battle way too early on, and than even during the battle they kinda barely interacted. Which sad. Big sad. (Loved the fourth, third episode of the third season though that conversation between nine and Sonic done something to me on a molecular level.)

I did enjoy the scraping gears between Dread and Ren, and the way the roses immiditelygot along because of course they did amy loves people including herself, and how Nine immiditely tried to kill himself Mangey and Sails, why wasn't there more of that, and hey why the fuck did they just kill off Mangey and Sails for like, four episodes I think, what was that about, Mangey should've bitten Nine I swear. And there wasn't much reaction to their "deaths" either from anyone besides like Sonic and Rebel I think, what about IDK THE GUYS FROM THEIR PERSPECTIVE WORLDS HAVING A WORD IN THEIR FOX JUST BEING KILLED????

Also you know when Nine went after the leftover pirates in no place, I was thinking what if he just took em hostage. Similar to the absolute wasted potential of shadow in the hole, just GAAAHAH I think that citadel he build was big enough to idk trap a few people in, what if we got the combo of the pirates and Shadow either trying to negotiate or just break Nine's jaw huh consider the sass Sails could've given him over this despite fearing for his life, because he is still very much held hostage by some whacko who is trying to kill his crew, how much more pissed off sonic would've been, how much more shaken the pirate crew would've been, Shadow absolutely seething at being held hostage while Nine is all high and mighty thinking he's untouchable but also deep uncomfortable that this version of himself is talking to him baNGING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALLL WE COUDVE HAD IT ALLLL

You know I actually rewatched a bit of Sonic prime a while ago and I've been thinking that like, the entire show is just mostly pointless back and forth battles that don't really progress the state of the world whatsoever until like the last episode of the season, but unlike the 3rd reason, which was dubbed the worst offender offerder for this rightfully, it got a different environment and set of characters for a while so it tricked one's brain into thinking that things were Different and Happening when they really weren't

And like, the Grim battle could've been much more interesting too yk even if we kept it happening in one set location. Lets say, if Nine used his unlimited power for something more besides just making more robots and instead held steadfast onto his desire to create a perfect world for himself and stupid powerfull terraforming abilities of the Prism, with with which he manged to break up the shatterverse cast into unlikely groups that each had its own threat to deal with, before the big bad confrontation and the end with Nine himself (where he just gets pelted by Ren or Shadow because come on, his ass is not lasting a serious fight against fight experienced people)

Anyway thinking abou Sonic Prime wasted potential hours
