Story of the “Binara Plant”

You could say that “Blue” is not a very common colour in nature, especially among flowers. Blue flowers are pretty special and behold the beautiful Binara, a bright blue flower on a slender herbaceous plant endemic to Sri Lanka and found in Ahaspokuna. But what's interesting is that this plant was illegally smuggled from Sri Lanka by a renowned scientist to create hybrid species for commercial purposes.
