The devil hunter sighed, blowing out his cigarette smoke with it. He knew that would be his answer, yet it still bothered him some. 

For whatever reason today, he wanted to see it. Angel’s smile.

“When was the last time you did? Smile I mean?” Aki asked, hoping his interest didn’t sound too obvious. Angel frowned, brows furrowed as he thought about it.

“I don’t know. I don’t really have any real reasons to smile.” He blinked up at Aki then. “Well, I do now.”

Aki blushed, averting his gaze as he took another drag of his cigarette. In the corner of his eye, he saw Angel’s lips twitch with amusement.

Not a smile. Not yet. Aki suddenly felt bold.

Without looking his way, he poked Angel’s side.

“Geh!” Angel yelped, nearly dropping his phone as his arms shot down to his sides. Aki blinked, intrigued.

“Ah, you’re ticklish.” Aki started to smile. “I had no idea.”

“Don’t you dare-” Angel began, eyes widening when Aki poked him again. “Ah! Ahaki!”

“Yes?” Poke poke. Another poke. “What is it?”

“Cahahahareful!” Angel cried, curling in his chair as he tried pushing the hand dancing up his ribs away with his elbows. His cheeks were beginning to flood with color, a small smile pulling at his lips. “Whahahhatch your hahahhahahnds!”

“I’m wearing gloves.” Aki reminded him gently, his other hand squeezing the small fiend’s thigh. “We’re safe. You’re just ticklish.”

“Gehahahhhahaha! S-Sthahahahahahap! Angel giggled out, falling onto his side as he curled into a ball against the bench. “Fihihihihine, I’m smhiiihihihihling!”

“So you are.” Aki smiled, pulling his hands back as he watched Angel gasp for air. “Thank you. It’s lovely.”
