#ah yes my two weaknesses:fedoras and guns

Ever since @faustiandevil talked about what could’ve been with 'All Through the Night', and ever since he introduced me to 'Gangsters vs Nazis' I've been wondering what kind of film could’ve been made if the people back then had guts. There’s a chapter about Bugsy Siegel in the book, and when I read that I realised we'd been robbed of a perfect role: Peter Lorre as Ben 'Bugsy' Siegel, a charismatic, baby-faced, elegant-looking gangster with a cold, fucked up demeanour who was a maniac with a gun, facing off American nazis.

Anyways, when I read all that (and also how he apparently was staying at the same hotel as Goring and Mussolini, and how he was ready to kill them if it wasn’t for his girlfriend stopping him because she was afraid for consequences to her family), I decided to make some studies of Peter Lorre as Bugsy Siegel !
