Out of the weasley brothers who do you think is the biggest fool when in love

impossible question they're all idiots

just kidding here's the order I think they'd fall into from least to most foolish (they are so close that I went back and forth on the order multiple times 😂)

1. Bill - he's a grown man. he knows how to handle himself in almost all circumstances and it takes a lot to get him flustered. he's also not a cheesy sort of romantic, he's more intense. he's tends to be more serious and knows exactly what he wants (and how to get it). he's going to outright tell you how he feels, no games, no bullshit. he can be possessive and jealous, though, a little rough around the edges, so mind his teeth.

2. Fred - is he foolish or insane? no telling. but he's giving 10000% into getting and keeping the person he loves. Rules and societal norms be damned. And he's not giving up until the fat lady sings, and he'll duct tape her mouth shut if he has to. single-minded, blind determination is the name of the game, and once he has you, you would not believe the ego on this boy. he'll be smug for a year. careful not to let his ego scare you off. he may talk like it's all about him, but at the end of the day, you're his entire universe.

3. Percy - Percy is the "I like you so I'm ignoring you" type, which is foolish. He sees romance as a frivolous distraction, and it would take some time for him to let that go and accept that he's in love. 9 times out of 10, the person gives up or loses interest before Percy figures out his shit. if Percy does manage to get you, he'll be a giddy, nervous wreck for six months because he never thought he'd get this far. he's eternally grateful that you gave him enough water and sunshine to finally grow.

4. George - the rizzler. charm on 10000. you fell in love with him first (but he fell in love harder). but as soon as he has you, all the suave and charm goes out the window. he's an absolute lovesick puppy, the biggest simp. anyone and everyone knows that he's in love and who with because his brain turns off when they're around. he just can't help himself when it comes to the person he loves, and he will walk face backwards off a cliff if you asked him to. please don't ask him to.

5. Charlie - Mr. One Night Stand. Mr. Fast and Loose. but when he actually falls in love, he's goner. done for. someone call a minister because Charlie is halfway down the aisle. he's 100000% committed from the start. saying I love you on the second date. he's all in, so buckle up buttercup because Charlie is a wild animal with a sweet tooth, and you're the prettiest dessert he's ever seen.

6. Ron - Ron is a lot like Percy in this way, he's in denial that he has feelings. But instead of ignoring you, he's going to pick on you, pull your hair, drive you up the wall because he thinks it's hot when you tell him off. he has the emotional range of a teaspoon, so he's going to be very dumb and very clumsy in the process of sorting out his feelings, and make a lot of mistakes in the process. but he will be the fiercest protector and most loyal friend you could ask for, just have patience.

I feel like both twins are pretty chill and it’s hard to get them angry but when angry i think fred prefers verbal attacks while george just throws hands

Fred will tear your self-esteem apart, straight up bully you into submission. He's making you rethink every decision you'd ever made. He's making you cry real, big baby boohoo tears. And he's going to laugh and make others laugh with him.

But George, he's going for the throat. He's beating your skull in with the bat. He's blowing up your homework in your face. He's curb stomping you outside of the Three Broomsticks. Your face is forfeit.

But, it takes a lot for them to get there. 100%. That's part of the reason why they're quick to laugh things off, because they know that when it's serious, it's serious.

Oh 1000000%. As would the rest of his family. But for Fred it would be even more hurtful because George hid it from him, not simply because she's a Malfoy.

I think Ron would be really hurt too, considering how cruel Draco and Lucius have been to him and his closest friends.

They'd all come around though when they saw how much she meant to him, and that she wasn't like her namesake.

Except for Molly. I don't think Molly would ever get over it, honestly. She'd always feel like George was "stolen".

Tips on writing a book?

you've opened the flood gates, please bear with me

writing a book is one of the most challenging and rewarding things a person can do. there will be days where it's the most fun you've ever had, and there will be days where you'd rather smash your fingers with a hammer than write another word.

it's all part of the process. It's a labor of love; labor being the key word. It is as mechanical as it is creative.

that being said, here are my trade secrets:

REMINDER!! EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. TAKE WHAT RESONATES. LEAVE WHAT DOESN'T.

Know your characters before you start writing. You don't need a plot really, or even a world. The best novels have the best characters, they are the single most important part of your story. When you reflect on your favorite books, most of the time, it'll be the characters you remember loving and cheering for (or rooting against), not specific plot points or descriptions.

Now, you don't need to know their zodiac sign, favorite food, and preferred sleeping position, but you need to know what drives them, what pushes them to do the things they do? Is it a loved one, an item, a legacy? Keep it small, keep it specific. Saving the world is far too large, but repaying a blood debt to a childhood best friend is compelling. Then, how far are they willing to go for it? And at what point do they stop? What needs to happen to push them beyond that point? Therein lies the soul of your story, and the rest of the body will be built around it.

Build a writing routine that works WITH you. Writing a novel requires a lot of work and time. Look at your current day-to-day, not your IDEAL day-to-day, what it actually is. Be brutally honest with yourself. Whether you've got three hours of downtime, or twenty minutes in the pick-up line, figure out how much of it you want to commit to writing, and build a WC goal that fits into it.

For me, 1,500 words a day is the sweet spot. I can knock out a fairly clean chunk of 1,500 in about an hour and half. It's not hard for me to find that time, but it'll look different for everyone. Find what works for you, be flexible, and most importantly, BE KIND TO YOURSELF.

Even just 100 words a day is a win.

Fill your creative well regularly. Writing is an act of reaping. You are pouring forth and creating something from nothing. That requires a lot of energy, and it's absolutely vital that you replenish that energy and nourish your imagination frequently. It can be books, movies, music, whatever. Find what inspires you and consume it like air. You will be a better writer and a happier person for it.

All a first draft has to do is exist. That's it. If the first draft exists, regardless of form or quality, it's a victory. You cannot improve upon a blank page.

It's okay to write out of order. If you've got a scene at the end of the book that's taking up all your brain space, but you're only a quarter of the way in, just write it. Get it out of your head and onto paper. No one says you have to write the book in linear order. You'll feel more inspired and energized without all the mental clutter, and you'll curb any feelings of resentment or guilt that are motivation-killers.

Write for yourself first. We all have big dreams of being published (and that's ok!), but when you're focused on the selling, it sucks energy, focus, and authenticity from the actual creating. Write for fun, edit to sell. Or else you'll get nowhere fast.

Give yourself permission to be cringey and bad. Be self-indulgent. Be cliché. Be cringe. And do it badly. Write steaming piles of scalding hot garbage. Then do it again. I promise there will be nuggets of gold buried beneath the shit.

Now, some less lofty advice:

Find one tool to plan/plot and stick with it. I recommend Notion for digital planning.

Have a dedicated writing space. Kitchen table, closet floor, meticulously organized writing desk, I don't care, but have somewhere you can go that is predominantly for writing. For me, it's one specific chair at my dining room table.

Use a writing program that you can access anywhere and is backed up to the cloud. Back it up often. I use Reedsy.

Read craft books by the masters in your chosen genre. Learn the genre standards. You have to know the rules before you can break them.

We are no better than dogs. Treat yourself recklessly and often.

There is a worse writer than you getting published as we speak. Anyone can do it, and that includes you.

You only fail when you quit. Keep writing.

I really appreciate the kind feedback. Bill was a bit daunting bc we have so little for him (canon or fanon), but I'm pretty proud of how he turned out. Gruff and a bit cynical (especially considering everything he's gone through), but still with the signature Weasley charm and penchant for trouble.

I wanna write fan fiction so bad and i asked my boyfriend if he’s comfortable with it and he says he literally doesn’t care bc it’s fiction but my brain still tells me it’s wrong. any advice?

I also asked my husband before I started and he looked at me like I had two heads, then said "do whatever the hell you want, babe" (he's very charlie weasley-coded) and here we are. thirty-something fics later 😅

I say give it a shot, and maybe include him in the process if he's interested so it doesn't feel like it's secretive.

My husband shows up in every fic I write, in every character, because I adore him and he's shown me what it is to be loved unconditionally. We can't help but write about the people we love, whether it's consciously or unconsciously, so in a lot of ways, you'll be writing about your boyfriend.

Honestly I think Fred wouldn’t end up with a Malfoy like George did. I think Fred’s less accepting and flexible while Georgie can see through the family name and see the real person. (not saying Fred can’t but he just wouldn’t get tangled up with a Malfoy in the first place)

I agree! Fred is hard-headed and less empathetic. He wouldn't let that door open even an inch. He wrote her off as soon as her existence came to his attention, and that was the end of it.

But poor George is a bleeding heart, and just can't turn his nose up at someone without cause because he knows how shitty that feels. It doesn't help that he's a sucker for a confident, sharp-tongued woman, and loves a little rebellion. He didn't stand a chance 😂

Im reading the harry potter books for the first time (i know, i was just a lotr kid ok) and i just HATE how the movies glossed over harry’s friendship with the twins, they were literally background characters in the movies but in the books they’re very close with harry
