I’m not usually one for miscommunication as a trope but hear me out:

Arthur thinks he and Merlin are together because Merlin says shit like “you’re my destiny” and “two sides of the same coin” fairly often.

He even looks fond or proud whenever he calls Arthur a prat, and pet names never suited them. He considered it once but it just felt weird. “Idiot.” Changed to “Idiot <3” when they finally got together and that suits them much better than Darling or Babe or whatever else.

And it’s not like he doesn’t say romantic stuff back, all: “you’re the bravest man I ever met.” Or “you’re the best friend I have and I couldn’t bare to lose you”

Meanwhile, Merlin pinpoints the same moment Arthur believed they started dating as when Arthur started acting more affectionate and Merlin’s crush got dialled up to 11.

Arthur doesn’t seem to mind, so he pushes his luck occasionally and will hug Arthur after a long day or will lean on him if they’re eating together on a hunting trip. Merlin absolutely cherishes these moments, but he’s secretly wishing they meant as much to Arthur as they do to him. (Spoiler alert: they do.)

So they must be together, Merlin just can’t be bothered with titles and with everything that happened, Agravane and Morgana betraying him, it would be ideal to wait for an announcement of their relationship.

He gifts Merlin clothes, new boots, will leave flowers in his chambers and asked for the cook to make more of Merlin’s favourites so he can steal food from Arthur’s plate because he claims it tastes better when it isn’t his food.

Arthur gave Merlin his mother’s sigil, for crying out loud. They’re obviously together.

And even better, (you can pry demi or ace Arthur from my cold dead hands) they don’t even need to be intimate beyond the occasional hug or soft gestures like Merlin brushing the hair from his face before Arthur goes to sleep at night and Arthur doing the same whenever they’re not in the castle and sleeping next to each other. He was worried at first, but Merlin never expected it, which Arthur just takes as: “And how stupid to worry? who knows him better than Merlin? Of course he would already know Arthur didn’t feel comfortable with that sort of stuff.”

Then one day, a delegation comes to Camelot and one of the foreign knights is flirting with Merlin. Arthur sees, and he doesn’t usually feel any need to act on his jealousy because he trusts Merlin, but this knight isn’t flirting in the way Gwaine does that’s just part of who he is, and Merlin looks uncomfortable. So he calls Merlin over to him, starts acting like a prat, and keeps Merlin “busy” all night by keeping his goblet full or usual servants duties.

Then later, Merlin thanks Arthur but says he doesn’t need to worry and he can handle himself. Arthur, finally relaxing after being ready to start a fight for the past three hours, pulls Merlin into a hug and kisses his forehead, because let the medieval gays be soft sometimes. He whispers something like, “I know you don’t like talking about it, and that you’ve said you don’t need a title, but you shouldn’t have to handle everything on your own.”

Merlin pulls back, looking shocked and confused. Then they actually have to talk about everything.

Merlin’s just fine with actually dating the guy he’s got a massive crush on and now he’s more willing to instigate hugs and affection. (Arthur just thought Merlin wasn’t going to push him to not make him uncomfortable but secretly wishes that he would instigate more) They end up sleeping in the same bed in Camelot too, because cuddles and softness, something Arthur wanted for a while but didn’t know how to ask for.

Basically all the problems in the relationship that Arthur was worried about but kinda felt “it’s already more than I could hope for” so didn’t want to bring up get worked out naturally and Merlin, who was previously worried about his friendship getting ruined if they changed the dynamic too much, is shocked by how little actually changed now that they’re together. He just gets to hold Arthur’s hand, can be less subtle about stealing from his dinner, gets to relax and gets an Arthur that’s more clingy and soft now that Merlin knows he’s allowed to reciprocate affection.

They still tease each other, they’re still two idiots sharing a braincell that they occasionally give to Leon to babysit, they’re just more open about being in love now. (More open to each other, anyway. Literally everyone else in Camelot knew long before they did)

Bonus points if they’ve been talking about their relationship and having the important conversation with each other the entire time, just without actually talking about it. Merlin asking why Arthur suddenly changed how affectionate he is and Arthur saying he thought he was allowed. Merlin’s just like “cool, as long as you’re okay. I’m glad you’re feeling more comfortable and relaxed.” And glad there’s no love spells or anything sinister going on. Arthur says he doesn’t like Merlin flirting with Gwaine, even if he doesn’t mean it, and Merlin agrees to stop if it makes him uncomfortable. He doesn’t think too much into it, just thinks Arthur doesn’t like the casual flirting and believes that relationships are important so casual stuff isn’t super comfortable. Merlin is still friends with Gwaine, just makes less jokes about going home with or marrying him.

Like, they’re having entire conversations and maintaining a fully functional healthy relationship, they’re just fucking idiots at the same time.

holaa, por aquí bambi, les dejo una pequeña introducción sobre juyeon hak y mis ideas para conexiones que me gustarían, pero si leyendo algo se les ocurre otra cosa son bienvenidos igual! déjenme un ❤️ por acá o por discord y les hablo para que coordinemos algo. mi discord es blinkgcne.

juyeon, actualmente tiene 27 años y es director de fotografía. en pomona estudio cinematografía y fue parte del círculo cercano de otis (cupo d2: compañero de habitación de otis desde el inicio de su carrera universitaria, sabía que quería enfrentarse a alfred e inclusive era testigo de odio desmedido de uno hacia a otro, intentó ir a la policía sin embargo nunca le escucharon.)

nacido y criado en seúl, corea del sur, es el menor de tres hermanos, estos son 13 y 10 años mayores que él. 

tanto sus padres como sus hermanos mayores asistieron a pomona en su momento, todos se han graduado de ahí. siendo su madre la heredera y dueña de una firma de arquitectos y su padre un director y escritor de obras teatrales.

su familia desde que nació lo han sobreprotegido, es como si lo hubieran criado en una burbuja donde trataban de evitar todo el tiempo que no se lastimara por cualquier cosa. aquello junto a que en su infancia solía pasar entre una enfermedad y otra, envolvió su existencia en una figura de fragilidad para todos. su mamá no estaba dispuesta a enfrentar la posibilidad de perderlo por una tercera vez. siendo la segunda un grave caso de neumonía y la primera el día de su nacimiento, dos meses antes de lo previsto, pasando los primeros meses de su vida en una incubadora conectado a respirador artificial para ayudar a inmaduros pulmones. 

tiene asma, aunque en su mayoría está controlada, sigue siendo propenso a pescar enfermedades respiratorias que se agravan con facilidad. 

a blind bitch. para su mala suerte también tiene pésima vista, sin lentes no puede ver de lejos y le cuesta mucho leer.

que sus padres lo dejaran partir hasta estados unidos para seguir el sueño de una carrera en cinematografía en pomona le costó mucho. luego de reestructurar sus argumentos una y otra vez logró llegar a un acuerdo: podría irse a massachusetts una vez terminara su servicio militar, tendría mayor edad y experiencia de esa forma. y su familia tendría tiempo para darse a la idea de que deben soltarlo.

pomona le brindó una libertad a la que no estaba acostumbrado, eso le causó uno de otro problema, las malas decisiones fueron múltiples pues, por ejemplo, no conocía su propio límite en cuanto al alcohol, nunca antes había bebido más de una copa de vino, y se dejó llevar terminando inconsciente las primeras veces que bebió cerveza en fiestas. ninguna de esas noches las recuerda con claridad. 

tras la muerte de otis su estabilidad emocional tambaleó a tal punto que pasaba días sin dormir, necesitaba emborracharse o consumir pastillas para dormir para lograr consilear el sueño. lo invadía la culpa y el enojo por no haber sido capaz de detener todo mucho antes. quizás si hubiera insistido más con la policía podría haber evitado trágico final. quizás si él mismo hubiera hecho algo, otra historia podría ser contada.

POSIBLES CONEXIONES: 

me gastaría un par de amistades que haya logrado hacer en el tiempo que estuvo en pomona. (no habla mucho al principio pero una vez les agarra confianza es super friendly y bromista. si necesitan a alguien para descargarse y los escuche, ahí va estar o para que los aconseje también.)

alguien que lo haya mal influenciado para beber y/o lo arrastrara a fiestas.

personas que le causaban desconfianza o quizás tuviera roces en algún momento. en un punto juyeon fue con la policía para intentar detener lo que le hacían a otis, asi que pienso en que podría haberse ganado algún enemigo con eso ???

su primer novio (ahora ex) que fuera su bi awakening. con la libertad que ganó al irse a estados unidos le dio la oportunidad de explorar su sexualidad y su atracción hacia los hombres por primera vez. mi hc es que se enganchó mucho de este chico y le costó bastante superarlo después que terminaron.

otros exes (de cualquier género) que hayan tenido relaciones cortas 

alguien (o varios) que lo haya ayudado en alguno de sus trabajos de la carrera, como un corto o algo así, me imagino como siendo actores en este.

Merlin, where have you been?

This post has the Arthurian Characters discussing in a script format the lack of Merlin’s involvement in most of the stories we have read so far, almost acting as an accusatory discussion.

Arthur: My knights, let this table discussion come to order. Today, Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, Sir Agravane and Sir Kay join me for this discussion. To start, I must ask: Sir Lancelot, how is my most respected knight?

Lancelot: Things are going rather well, my king.

Arthur: I still never told you how grateful I was for you slaying Malagant last week. His stealing of my queen was quite uncalled for and I appreciate you coming to her aid.

Lancelot: I was merely serving as any knight would.

Agravaine: *Cough* Liar *Cough*

Lancelot: What was that, Sir Agravaine? Do you doubt me?

Agravaine: I doubt that you didn’t use this as an excuse to get into Queen Guinevere’s good graces, and perhaps even her bed. You see, I believe that-

Arthur: Sir Agravaine, we have heard your theories before, but I still require proof to believe anything is amiss.

Agravaine: I speak the truth! All know it but you, my king.

Gawain: Calm yourself, brother. Tis the king’s business, not our’s.

Kay: Besides, Sir Agravane, if you wish to pick fights, perhaps you should pick one with Merlin.

Arthur: And what do you mean by that, my friend? Merlin has served both myself and the kingdom well.

Kay: I sincerely doubt that. He has been strangely absent during the adventures we have faced so far. Why, I still recall when Sir Gawain, Bishop Baldwin and I all visited the Carle of Carlisle. That beast of a man was, at least according to Sir Gawain, cursed. I missed all of the details, but the important thing is that he was slaying men who disobeyed him! I ask you, where was Merlin then?

Gawain: I am sure he had a good reason for not aiding us. We were far away from Camelot, in Inglewood Forest. How could Merlin have known to help us when we were not near him?

Kay: His magic knows no bounds, he could have easily helped us. And besides, this Carle had killed many knights. You are telling me that Merlin was unaware of the problem? 

Arthur: Merlin works in mysterious ways. He surely had his reasons.

Kay: You all defend him, but I would like to see him defend himself.

Arthur: Very well. Sir Agravane, go look for him.

Agravane: It shall be done. 

(Agravane leaves)

Gawain: You know, Merlin could have been helpful during my encounter with the Green Knight. As I learned and told you all, it was a plot by Morgana Le Fay to kill Guinevere from fright when his head was cut off and he magically survived. Should Merlin not have aided us in dealing with him, especially if the queen’s life was in danger?

Arthur: You forget that we all learned a great lesson from that Knight about keeping one’s word. We still wear green with our armor in memory of that lesson.

(Agravaine and Merlin enter the room)

Merlin: You called for me, my king?

Arthur: Yes, we have been discussing your lack of involvement with our adventures as of late.\

Merlin: Yes,  I had heard as much from Sir Agravaine on the way here. I suppose I will have to answer some of your questions. 

Agravaine: Why have you not told our king about Queen Guinevere and Sir Lancelot?

Gawain: Why did you not help us with the Green Knight?

Kay: Why did you not defeat the Carle of Carlisle when he was killing so many people?

Merlin: Those are important questions indeed. Perhaps I should ask a question in return: have you not all learned something from those problems you faced?

Gawain: I know I have.

Arthur: Perhaps some of the quests we have gone on have taught us things, but not all of them.

Merlin: Then it is good that everyone out there reading this likely did learn something. Even if the lesson isn’t always obvious, we always learn something from hardships, especially ones that are not our own.

Lancelot: He has a point, my king. We serve many purposes. Not just to serve you, but to also teach others about our virtues. We can only show those virtues by suffering through hardships. If Merlin were there, things would be too easy.

Merlin: Precisely!

Arthur: Well, then I am sorry we ever doubted you Merlin. You have not been abandoning us. You have been teaching us a lesson. 

Merlin: I understand how you might have been frustrated. Thank you for understanding in the end.

Gawain: Hail Merlin, the greatest wizard!

All: Hail!

Arthur: I suppose this is a great place to stop for today. Come, we shall have a feast to celebrate Merlin.

Merlin: I can't believe they bought that. I’ve just been so busy with learning new spells that I completely forgot to watch over Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.I have nothing to worry about, though. I can work on my new spells and they can continue to learn. What’s the worst that could happen?

Desde Congreso proponen desazolve y limpieza permanente del río Huacapa

CHILPANCINGO, Guerrero * Febrero 6, 2025 ) LXIV Legislatura | Guerrero La Comisión de Desarrollo Urbano y Obras Públicas del Congreso del Estado de Guerrero analiza un exhorto a los titulares de la Delegación de la Comisión Nacional del Agua en Guerrero y de la Comisión de Agua Potable, Alcantarillado y Saneamiento del Estado, para que coordinadamente realicen acciones de limpieza y desazolve del Río Huacapa en Chilpancingo, incluyendo las zonas que recorre el afluente en los municipios de Mochitlán y Quechultenango. Dicho exhorto, propuesto por el diputado Jhobanny Jiménez Mendoza (PVEM), refiere que uno de los principales problemas que aqueja a la capital y municipios cercanos es la escasez y la calidad del agua, provocando inconformidad entre la ciudadanía, que constantemente realiza bloqueos en las principales vías exigiendo el vital líquido. Dijo que de acuerdo con datos de la ONU los problemas hídricos en el mundo se agravan porque más del 80 por ciento de las aguas residuales resultantes de actividades humanas se vierten en los ríos o el mar sin ningún tratamiento, provocando su contaminación. “Pareciera que este estudio señala a la perfección lo que está pasando en Guerrero, con énfasis en su capital, sumado a un tema que viene en su conjunto que es la contaminación del agua, sobre todo del histórico Río Huacapa, donde se arroja basura, escombro o residuos ignorando las consecuencias que contrae llevar este tipo de prácticas”, señala. Refiere que aunado al tema de la contaminación se suman los fenómenos naturales que aquejan al estado como el paso de las tormentas tropicales Ingrid y Manuel y los huracanes Otis y Jhon, que han desgastado considerablemente este importante río, al grado de derrumbar las paredes y desbordarse en varias colonias inundando severamente las viviendas y arrastrando la basura y los escombros. Feminicidios y desapariciones en Perú alertan sobre violencia contra la mujer

La violencia contra la mujer continúa siendo una realidad alarmante en Perú. En 2023, se registraron más de 150 casos de feminicidios y desapariciones. La defensora pública del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Luz Osorio Aragón resalta que muchas mujeres desconocen cómo denunciar y acceder a la justicia.

La abogada pidió a las víctimas de violencia no callar los maltratos pues no están solas y cuentan con el respaldo de la ley; también indicó que cualquier persona puede denunciar un acto de agresión, incluso si no es la víctima, y las autoridades están obligadas a recibir estas denuncias sin distinción de sector.

La violencia no solo es física, también puede ser psicológica, patrimonial y sexual. Estos tipos de agresión se agravan cuando la víctima es menor de edad o está embarazada, lo que hace aún más urgente actuar en su protección.

El Estado ofrece varios recursos a las víctimas, como defensores públicos que brindan orientación legal. Además, la línea gratuita Fono Alegra (1884) y casas de refugio están disponibles para proteger a las mujeres y sus hijos.

Las penas para los agresores son duras. En casos de feminicidio, la pena mínima es de 20 años. Sin embargo, el proceso legal es largo y requiere evaluaciones médicas, lo que demanda perseverancia de las víctimas para alcanzar la justicia.

Según declaró Osorio, la educación y prevención son clave para erradicar la violencia. No basta con castigar, es necesario cambiar mentalidades y promover una sociedad más consciente. Todos podemos contribuir a reducir estos casos de violencia desde nuestra posición como ciudadanos.
