Feast
This chapter: Killua's moodiness continues as the feast begins. Gon finds it increasingly hard to endure being jealous.
Since he didn’t have to turn the spit constantly, Gon watched the gathering in the courtyard from the temple balcony. As he leaned on the balustrade, Killua’s falcon perched by his elbow. After the heat from the fire pit, the air hitting his cheeks felt refreshingly cold... Read on
About: Prince Gon Freecss and his reluctant bodyguard, Killua Zoldyck, embark on a fake relationship to save them from predatory fae advances as they travel into the realm of Aiai. Gon has no idea Killua is only pretending to be human and is actually on the run from his fae family. Neither of them understand why Gon (who, despite being gifted, is definitely human) develops a mysterious knack for fae magic along the way. A group of magically talented murderers are travelling in the same direction and will kill them on sight. Even if Killua and Gon survive, they must eventually part, so falling in love is out of the question. Or so they both say, at the start.
Slow burn. Unconfessed love. Jealousy and possessiveness. Deepening friendship and desire. Chapter 1 on Ao3

Summary:
“Killua?” Gon rubs soothing circles in the space between Killua’s shoulder blades as he continues to wheeze. “Are you alright?”
“I—I’m f-fine. I’m just…” Watery, blue eyes turn to Gon. “What did you just say?”
“I asked if you were alright.”
“Be—” cough, “—Before that.”
“Oh. I said ‘Killua, let’s get married’.”
Killua stares at him. Gon stares back. He stares at pale skin blushing pink, at white eyelashes that flutter with every blink, at soft lips faintly stained with too-sweet chocolate—
“Gon,” Killua rasps, forcing Gon to focus back to the matter at hand. “We started dating a month ago.”

Thinking about Hanahaki & Star Tear disease. Aged up (18 y/o) Killua since I was him for Halloween this year.
WARNINGS: Angst, Blood, Death, No comfort, Killugon mentions, My own version of Star Tear disease
For Killua, the flowers you'd spit up would be Heliotropes. They mean everlasting love.
Killua has always loved Gon, never taking his eyes off of him. When you came into the group of four, you never expected to fall for the platinum blonde boy. Yet you did. Killua never looked at you or gave you a second thought. The only person who ever actually loved you, even just as a sibling, was Kurapika. So obviously you told him when you got Hanahaki and Star Tear disease.
Surprisingly, you were able to slow both of them down with Nen, though you refused to get surgery or confess to Killua. You were content dying for him. Eventually, Gon, in front of the group, asked you what romantic love was to you.
“Love is when you're willing to die for someone, even if there's a cure. Just so you won't forget them. Love is when you're slowly going blind for them because you won't confess your love to them, as they are in love with someone else, and to hear it would only cause more pain. Love is painful.. Physically, emotionally, and psychologically..”
You had started to cry halfway through your answer, making your Star Tear disease known to the group. Watching as your tears left your cheeks, became dark blue stars, and floated to the ceiling, they all gasped. All but Kuripika, who knew and had seen you cry before. Your vision went more blurry, even after you'd stopped crying.
That was the first time he'd looked at you. It was the first time he'd actually seen you. And all he saw was someone so foolishly loyal to an asshole. Then they all witnessed you cough up flowers and blood. They were full flowers, which meant you were closer to dying.
Out of concern, they all took you to the hospital where the doctor explained.
“First, Hanahaki disease is a disease that kills someone who has unrequited love for someone. Hanahaki is when, because of that unrequited love, flowers sprout in the victims lungs. They will slowly cough up petals, turned to petals with blood, turned to full flowers, turned to full flowers with blood. Each one of these is a stage. The last stage is the closest to death. The flowers the victims cough up have meaning, y/n is coughing up Heliotropes, and Heliotropes mean everlasting love. The cure is to either have your unrequited love to love you back or to take the surgery.
Star Tear disease is a disease that turns the victims' tears to stars. Generally, these stars are the favorite color of the victims' unrequited love. The victims will slowly become blind the more they cry. The only cure is to confess to your unrequited love.
Unfortunately, Y/n decided not to take the surgery. We cannot do anything without his consent.”
(Time skip cause I'm impatient)
It has been weeks since you last went to that doctor. You were now almost fully blind. You decided you wanted to take a walk with Killua.
“It's been a while since we last talked, huh?”
“Yea, Y/n..”
“I can't wait for you and the group to go back to York New City. I thought I'd be able to go this time.”
“What do you mean, Y/n? You are going to go with us”
“Killua—” You had a coughing fit, now coughing up a bunch of flowers and blood. You gave him a sad look and put your hand on his cheek. “—I love you so much - I just couldn't forget you.” You went limp just as quick as you had confessed to him.
.
.
.
.
.
Killua put Heliotropes down on your grave. It had been years. He should be over you, shouldn't he? He regrets not realizing he loved you sooner. It hurts him knowing if he had just looked at you before you were dying—
“I love you too, Y/n.. I miss you so so much..”

Chapter 28: I Need A Hero
Gon is forced to spend time with Marigold, when he'd rather chase Killua. It seems Marigold considers Gon a hero and wishes to impress Killua by proving themself one too. Gon's insecurity grows.
"Gon hadn’t the faintest interest in whatever ‘fae-style gathering’ Marigold had in mind. It was a rotten idea, insensitive to the dark mood that would surely prevail after disposing of the enchanter’s body, and if carried out, would exhaust anyone who attended when they needed to save their wits and strength to embark on a life-threatening journey. As for the ‘other pleasures’ to which Marigold alluded—put bluntly, no doubt they meant sex. Probably, they hoped to seduce Killua. In fact, this entire feast was a probable ruse for their attempt..." Read on

Summary:
“See?” Killua says smugly. “It’s not that easy, is it?”
“Well, it’s like you said. There are lots of things I could use, but none of them fit right.” Gon lowers his gaze, rubbing his thumbs over Killua’s knuckles. “I could call you ‘my life’, because it’s true, but I think you would combust if I called you that in public. I could call you ‘love’, but that sounds too serious. I could call you ‘dear’, because you’re dear to me, but that’s not serious enough. So, it’s kind of complicated. You know?”
Killua doesn’t respond. Gon lifts his head to find Killua gaping at him, his usually pale cheeks scarlet and his blue eyes large.
Uh, oh. Gon’s stomach lurches. Did he just break Killua?
