The Legacy Begins... In the seventh film in the Puppet Master franchise (and the prequel to the 3rd film), we get to see how Andre Toulon becomes the puppet master, learning the the spell to "instill the souls of the dying in inanimate things" (IMDb) (Fun Fact: got this from Netflix because the sister was looking through Greg Sestero's filmography and saw this which he did about 4 years before The Room.) It felt kind of like Small Soldiers (the puppets also sort of reminded me of Sid's toys from Toy Story) but more....ominous, chilling...evil-ish, but I did like it, and would be up for watching the rest of the movies in the series. The sets, props, effects.... The guys following Afzel reminded me of the guys from Dark City, Greg looked almost too much like Anakin circa Ep 2, my Dad said one of the puppets reminded him of James Brown (one reminded me of Forest Whitaker), and at one point it seemed like one of the puppets couldn't put his arms down and and I thought of A Christmas Story. Andre being busy yet still talking to the girl on the stairs could only have foreshadowed The Room more if they'd had awkward, half-clothed sex right there😆. Toulon wore that sparkly red coat a bit too much. I liked the soundtrack, and the puppet's teamwork, and aww Blades was a scarification expert. Only problem I really had with the film was the weird slo mo and color effects during the fight on the train, not that it matters though. Watching the extra features - OMG they have action figures! Puppet master is a series of b-horror movies made by Full Moon Productions and Charles Band! The plotline follows Andre Toulon, whi has the secret of eternal life, taught to him by a thousand year-old monk, Afzel. However this secret has a catch - your soul can be transferred into another vessel (such as a puppet 👀) but you may not retain your original personality or memories, or your original body can be brought back to life, but it... basically turns you evil.

Toulon was on the run from nazis after they tried to steal the secret from him, and he fled to America to hide out from them.

So basically it's a few horror movies that turns into watching puppets brutally kill nazis - which, imo, is always a good time!
