8. Do you prefer the beginning, middle, or end of a story? uhhhhhhhh I .. I don't know? I like the story. I like to see it as an entire thing. Unless the question means if I prefer writing the beginning middle or end, in which case I like writing the end usually. It's fun to put into words the payoff that I've been painstakingly setting up and finding fun ways to wrap up the loose ends.

26. Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride? Wildest is kind of. A strange word I don't really write stuff that's too wild, or maybe my sense of wild-ness is off center. Wild in terms of Crack is probably the Agegap Mafia Debacle, which is co-written with you and zeda, so maybe that doesn't count. Wild as in, how-many-tropes-can-I-fit-into-this-hugely-indulgent-thing is maybe Hallows, or Phoenix Blood? Wild as in, what-the-fuck-did-I-just-read is maybe Blind Wolves? Yeah. We'll go with that. Blind Wolves.

54. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process? HOW am I supposed to find a favourite. I basically only do this stuff for fun anyway so everything I do is fun. I like editing I guess? It's fun refining my words and sentences and structure, even if I am only a creature though I cannot catch them all, alas. Something very rewarding about finding the ULTIMATE word or turn of phrase.

55. Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones? Teru is definitely a long time favourite. He's like a comfy kind of character where it's really easy to just slip into character. Goro, too, follows that only he's been pushed to more extremes. I kind of follow the beat of my own drum, and also I'm not a particularly big author or one that has a following, so it's not really been affected by anything other than sitting in a pit with some friends yelling at each other (affectionately).

Ooh, this one's fun! Let me just list a handful of my own headcanons for MP100 and Watori:

• Ritsu is in love with his brother and Shou has complicated sexual feelings about his father, regardless of who they end up with romantically or sexually [I prefer them together! Their private taboo feelings, once shared, become part of the cement that binds them] • Reigen quit the water cooler business for many reasons, one of which being that he was sexually assaulted by some coworkers at an all-but-mandatory drinking party. That's why he can't handle alcohol and has no close or intimate relationships with adults. • Neighbours from Aftokrator lay eggs. My PERSONAL interpretation of this is that there is no dimorphism of primary sex characteristics for their species, and they all have basically the same downstairs mix-up going on regardless of secondary sex characteristics. Either parent can incubate their own or their partner's fertilized egg/s, and though it can be done externally, it's both 1: safer, and 2: more likely that an egg will gestate to maturity if a parent can manage periodic and/or sustained insertion. • In my own 'Trans Teru' headcanon, I personally like to think that Teru's deadname was still Teruki, since 'Teruki' is a unisex name that becomes gendered solely based off of what kanji you use. I like to think that Teru started going by the nickname [in katakana] 'Teru' and that, when he entered Black Vinegar Middle and officially began living full-time as a boy, he filled out his official documents with more masculine kanji that he chose.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?:

I have a lot of headcanons, but I'm both 1: usually a big fan of 2 or more contradictory interpretations of a character or ship, depending on the scenario I want to discuss or explore, and 2: generally pretty chill about them! So I can't think of anything that I would DIE defending that's just a headcanon, y'know? I'll fight to the death about misinterpretations of canon that bother me [i.e. 'Yuri Plisetsky is a delicate waif' or 'Mello from Death Note is a foppish gayboy who slept his way to the top of the Mafia' or 'Reigen and Mob have a father and son relationship'], but headcanons are fluid and everyone gets to have em!

hi. this is just me establishing new verse tags/names. i’ll also explain them:

“the holy land.” : covers the time of hyuse’s life up until his official introduction in the second large scale invasion while he’s still affiliated with aftokrator’s military forces; literally even as far back to his training or childhood before he was eventually taken in/purchased by the house of erin. he is one of their valued super soldiers, capable enough to be deployed on his country’s away expeditions to other planet nations. verse title comes from the fact that aftokrator is directly referred to as the “the holy land” for being one of the major military superpowers.

“the fruits of meeden.” : covers anything after or during hyuse’s official enlistment as a border agent as the fourth and final member of tamakoma second. hyuse is given a false identity as a foreigner from canada, given the cover to pose as “michael kronin’s nephew” to the public. he’s given a separate trion body to hide his horns to walk around in outside tamakoma’s base, so he also has some limited freedom outside. verse title comes from the fact hyuse decides to ally himself with the protagonists since their efforts is his best shot at returning home... so i can make a not-so-clever joke/pun to the fact mikado city is known for a certain fruit.

meeden = earth. “meeden” is the name aftokrator refers to earth as, with no explanation or context as to why has been revealed yet.

26 Cast Members Gather in World Trigger 2nd Stage Play "Large-Scale Invasion Arc" Main Visual

    Three months ahead of its opening in Tokyo, the official website for World Trigger the Stage: Large-Scale Invasion Arc, the forthcoming second show of the stage play adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's sci-fi action manga World Trigger, has posted a main visual featuring its 26 main cat members altogether. It depicts the members of Border as they fight off a large-scale invasion launched by Aftokrator, one of the largest military powers in the Neighbor World.

    Also, Himika Akaneya (Laala Manaka in Idol Time Pripara) and Kosuke Kujirai (Junta Teshima in Yowamushi Pedal stage plays) are confirmed to make their voice appearance as Shiori Isami and Replica/Takumi Rindo, respectively.

  World Trigger the Stage: Large-Scale Invasion Arc is set to be performed at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Tokyo from August 5 to 14, 2022, and at the Kyoto-Gekijo theater in Kyoto from August 19 to 21. Its story is based on the manga's fourth arc of the same name. After advance sales from May 13 to June 19, general sales of the tickets will begin on July 2.

Smash Borders 2nd Anniversary!

I’ve been waiting all month for this and it’s finally here! Happy 2nd Anniversary, Smash Borders!

The sharp-eyed will notice the change in the bottom left corner besides the 2nd Anniversary background, but I will explain that update later. First:

Look at all the shenanigans happening in this picture.

To celebrate the 2nd Anniversary, there are four special campaigns. 

First, there will be an Anniversary gacha where on the first 10 pull, at least one trigger will be 6☆ or above for sure, and all 6 and 7☆ triggers will have twice as much chance as usual for the duration of this gacha - which starts 21st July and will end 31st July.

Second:

The B-rank Rank Wars Arc begins, available in the quest tab under SP. Right now only one part is available, but there is a total of 7 rounds (Round 1~6 + Final) and the rest will be implemented at a later date.

Third:

An Agent Register has been installed, available from the Start Screen (yes, this is the new button in the bottom left corner). Pressing it gives you this:

A list of every character in your account. The button on the bottom left orders the characters in the Japanese Syllabary order (a i u e o, ka ki ku ke ko etc.), and pressing it will reorder them into Birthday order (those without official birthdays are at the end, including Yuuma whose birthday was revealed in a Q&A but not official), then age order (which also has the New 3 Idiots at the end though their ages are alluded to in the Graph of what school everyone goes to).

The button on the bottom right will narrow the characters down by Type (Knowledge, Skill, Body), then Squad + Aftokrator + Other (New 3 Idiots & Jin).

Pressing one of the characters give this screen:

The left half is pretty much the same as the one for characters in-game, you can swap around their triggers and outfits - as long as you own it already. The top left hand corner goes back to the Title Screen. The top right hand corner is just the character with no extra buttons, easier to screenshot to your heart’s content, and the bottom right button is a virtual battle:

That allows you to choose the enemy you’re facing (top right button), hit them with a sure-fire kill (middle right) or a normal attack (bottom right).

And finally, there will be a login bonus every day from 22nd July to 1st August where you get 2 crystals every day with 20 by the end.

What will happen to Hyuse.

World Trigger’s been on hiatus for half a year now (omg)? I just wanted to talk about stuff since the tags been lacking contents lately. So let’s talk about things to kinda make the fandom “active”! Feel free to add your thoughts on it.

So in the recent chapters, Hyuse officially joined T-2 after mowing down all those poor C-Rankers. Hyuse himself stated that going back to Aftokrator is his main goal. But once Border gets to Aftokrator, will he possibly try to kidnap Chika? Let’s ignore what Karasawa said about Hyuse once they arrive to Afto (drugging him to sleep or doing something else to him to prevent him from betraying Border). 

Let’s say they don’t drug Hyuse to sleep or anything, in this situation, do you think he will take the chance and try to kidnap Chika to save his master? Because if I were in his situation, I would most likely to take the chance and do that. Or do you think he’ll leave her alone bc she’s Yotaro’s friend (because at this point his friendship with Yotaro developed so much).

I actually rewrote a little bit a few weeks ago. I wanted to take it into a different direction but that has kind of evaporated and I'm left with something I can pass off as a chapter of something bigger and half a page of something else that is too ??? to post as is. So I'm just... leaving it there for now. Toei Animation Celebrates World Trigger Season 2 Premiere with Global Watch Party

  Last week marked the long-awaited premiere of World Trigger Season 2, and Toei Animation is going all out to mark the occasion. Toei will host its first-ever worldwide fan event in the form of a World Trigger Season 2 Global Livestream Watch Party, and it all goes down on Saturday, January 30 at 5:00pm Pacific Time on Toei Animation's US Facebook and YouTube channels.

  The special simulcast event will be available to anime fans across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Justin Rojas (HomeCon/Envy Gaming) will host the event along with Lisa Wallen (Kawaii Five-O Podcast), kicking off a stream full of anime and special video messages.

  Following a series introduction and video messages from Japanese cast members Tomo Muranaka (Yuma Kuga), Kenta Tanaka (Sumiharu Inukai), Toshiyuki Tonaga (Ratarykov), and Ayumu Murase (Reghindetz), episodes 1 and 2 of World Trigger Season 2 will screen in Japanese with English subtitles. Fans can also look forward to post-episode discussions and promotional giveaways over the course of the two-hour fan event.

  Border Defence Agency was established to counter the attacks from the "Neighbors," beings from the other world possessing unknown forces. A low rank Border agent, Osamu Mikumo, teams up with a Neighbor, Yuma Kuga, and a childhood friend, Chika Amatori. They strive to win through the Rank Wars within the Border to be selected for the away squads to the "Neighborhood," the other world. Meanwhile, another attack from the Neighborhood was detected. Mikado City is still damaged from the second large-scale invasion by the largest military nation, Aftokrator. To prevent panic among the city and citizens, Border arranges a confidential interception based on the foresight of Yuichi Jin by mainly deploying selected A-Rank elite squads. But when a Gate appears, and Attacker rank #1 Kei Tachikawa set to take action, Jin sees an ominous future.
