I love Matt BL ships as much as the next guy, don't get me wrong! But I'm also a big fan of headcanons that are funny, & there is nothing funnier than someone as volatile, dramatic, & homoerotically obsessed with his rival as Mello having a basic straight guy for a best friend/wing man.
