(Adalynn's POV)(AN: I'm back! I took an unexpectedly long break but my queue is healthy rn so no more drought. To pick up where we left off, Celeste (a certified spinster atp) just got married so the family are all back in Newcrest before they jet off to their various Christmas destinations.)

I love opportunities to be together with family, Celeste's wedding brought almost all of us together to celebrate her and Reid and their wonderful union. It was so nice to be able to be with family again, especially around the holiday season since it's the time of year we usually see our 'in-laws', though some of us do split the time with our parents this time of year.

Zoe and Francisco took the chance of us being together and arranged a birthday party for little Cassie, it's always great having the grandkids around and getting to celebrate them. We all put our minds together and made a feast to feed the load of us who were at the party, which was almost 70 people in and out of the house when you include us plus our extended family who would be dropping in. We even had Celeste and Reid drop in for a bit before they left on their honeymoon!

Zoe announced her pregnancy to us a few weeks ago, almost immediately after Kyleigh, so we've got two new grandkids joining the crew next year by Harvestfest. I wonder how many more pregnancy announcements we'll get in the next few weeks!

It warms my heart to see my younger brothers shine as uncles and now as fathers to their own children, the boys love getting to roughhouse with their uncles and cousins. They were still quite young when I got married and started having kids, so they've been uncles since they were teenagers. As more of my siblings got married and had kids, they've still maintained their relationships with their nieces and nephews.

“Sirius,” Remus said, voice low—quiet. Sirius was holding his breath, felt goosebumps flicker across his skin as Remus reached up and brushed his hair behind his ear, let his finger catch on one of the tiny silver hoops in his cartilage before it trailed slow and too-soft down the side of his neck. “Do you want to come home with me?”

Sirius nodded vehemently—fuck yes, he did, what kind of fucking question was that? He said as much, gave a breathy little “yeah,” that almost caught on the way out and stood transfixed, watched as Remus’ eyes went a little darker. He tilted his chin up a bit when he felt Remus' hand loop at the base of his neck, thumb settling at the hollow of his throat.

“If you come back with me, that’s it,” Remus warned. “No leaving, no taking it back—if you come home with me, I need you to stay.”
