What's afterl!fe? The characters look so cute and the artstyle is so pleasant to look at! I know you said it shut down, but I have to wonder, what it's about? Something to do with reapers? (I mean, I wouldn't mind if you started posting fic about the game because honestly, I'll read anything you write).

It was an otome game in which you play as the new manager for the 14th branch of Soul Reapers, all of them ranging in backgrounds, ages, and even species (Ell is an angel, and Quincy is a devil for example). There are different dorms, each housing four Soul Reapers. Mane (the Morning Team) consists of Ell, Jamie, Ghilley, and Licht. Die (the Day Team) consists of Theo, June, Louis, and Ethan. Hesperide (the Twilight Team) consists of Sian, Cyrille, Kati, and Noah. Noctu (the Night Team) consists of Nine, Day, Kirr, and Aitachi. Diluculo (the Dawn Team) consists of Youssef, Mori, Quincy, and Verine. As each team name suggests, it is the time at which they work!

Essentially, as the manager you're in charge of training and managing the Soul Reapers as they go about their daily work lives. All of them are dead and have past lives, and if I remember correctly they work to help guide vengeful spirits to the afterlife by sealing and purifying them within a kaleidoscope, hence The Sacred Kaleidoscope part of the game's title! :D I think they were also working towards reincarnation??? Although I might be wrong about that. I do know that when they came to the Reapers Department they all had a certain number of karma points which they had accumulated in their past life from various good and bad deeds.

You could send the Soul Reapers on cleaning shifts, read SNS posts, collect cards in the gacha, participate in limited time events, and read the card stories about various characters. There was also a feature where there were chat rooms for each dormitory and for each individual character, so you could chat with other players about your favorite dorm or characters! And aside from side stories and events, there was a main story!

It was a really fun game with lots of potential and many unique characters!!! Hopefully one day it will return, but until then I will hold the memory close in my heart. (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ.ﾟ

Kirr: 

💋 How do they kiss?

Kirr’s kisses can be aggressive but he always kisses with purpose, preferring to keep your intimate relationship in private so he can shower you with his full attention. You can tell he follows his instinct when kissing more than relying on any past experience but it works well with him, though he has the tendency to nip at your lips or push you against a hard nearby surface (to protect you from sneak attacks while you’re vulnerable, they’d have to go through him first).

Licht:

💋 How do they kiss?

Licht is, surprisingly or maybe not, a good kisser. He never uses too much tongue, not much slobber but not exactly chaste either. He adapts well to what you want out of the kiss and he’s always doing something else affectionate, cupping your cheek, stroking your hair, holding you tightly in his warm embrace. Everytime he pulls away he gives you this lovestruck look, telling you how your kisses always seem to put him under a spell (but he didn’t mind as long as it was you). 

Noah:

Noah’s kisses are gentle and sweet, sometimes you’re left wondering if he even kissed you with how lightly he tended to press his lips against yours. When he’s feeling passionate he has the tendency to be a bit rougher but you always feel as though he’s carefully holding himself back, not wanting to impose on you or make you feel like he’s trying to take control over you with the power of his kisses. 

Theo: 

💋 How do they kiss?

Theo’s kisses are chaste, always feeling too short and simple for your liking. He seems distressed at not satisfying you properly so he works on improving his skills, assuring his lips are never chapped and always delectable to make kissing more enjoyable. He doesn’t tend to kiss you in front of others unless he feels like your relationship is being scrutinized or threatened, using kissing as a way to make the other party feel so awkward they leave.

In honour of Kirr’s birthday, could we have a scenario of him celebrating it with the manager?

Not gonna lie, this one was a bit rushed because I was trying to finish it before his birthday was over. Nevertheless, hopefully you don’t think it was too terrible as it was my first fic/secnario on here! Let me know what you think.

The manager leaned against her chair, skimming through Kirr’s files. Nyang Lead Manager wanted Kirr to join the Hesperide team as his experience in the wilderness would be useful for the team’s mission-- purifying a violent soul that lives in a secluded forest. The cat asked the manager to look over Kirr’s files to ensure there was no conflict with his other missions. As she glossed over the page, the manager noted the various dates of his upcoming missions, but she almost missed the most important date of all. Kirr’s birthday was printed at the top of the page in a small, neat font.

 DOB: July 28.

The manager’s eyes nearly bulged out of her head.  That was today! However, she hadn’t heard anyone mention Kirr (let alone his birthday). Was this a typo? Or did Kirr dislike celebrating his birthday? Maybe he had forgotten about it? Although the manager wasn’t sure about his reasons, she knew that she had to do something for the reaper. After all, it was her job to make everyone feel welcome at the 14th Department. What kind of manager would she be if she forgot one of her reapers’ birthday?

To gather some more information, she called the rest of the Noctu team. The manager asked a bunch of questions to Nine, Day, and Atachi, but none of them knew anything about Kirr’s birthday. He never mentioned it before. Although the team couldn’t provide any information, they were interested in helping the manager organize something special for him. After some brainstorming, everyone agreed on hosting a small party at the end of the day. 

However, there wasn’t much time. There were less than five hours left in the day. To create a decent party in a short period of time, the manager needed Ell’s help. She assigned him to go with Day to buy party decorations that suited Kirr’s taste. Afterwards, the manager and Ell would hang up the decor while Day and Atachi distracted Kirr by keeping him out of his room. Nine would bake and decorate a few desserts (including a chocolate marble cake). While the manager insisted on having another person help him, Nine assured her that he would be fine by himself. 

To everyone’s dismay, the plan went smoothly. While Day and Atachi ran into a few hurdles while trying to distract Kirr, the manager stepped in and sent the group on a wild goose chase. Nine was finished within three hours (while creating a fairly decorated cake) and Ell was able to set up the decorations with no issues. Everything was ready by 10 PM, which gave them enough time to celebrate.

Everyone sat in Kirr’s room, waiting for Day and Atachi to bring him in. Although everything was complete, the manager was still nervous. Were the decorations too flashy? Should the cake have been three layers instead of two? What if Kirr didn’t like parties? All their hard work would have been for nothing if Kirr didn’t want to celebrate. She should’ve asked him about it before planning the entire party. But it was too late to turn back now as Kirr’s voice could be heard from the hallways.

“Quick everyone! Get in position!” Ell said.

As he entered the room, everyone jumped out to their feet and shouted, “Happy Birthday!”

Kirr glanced around the room. “What’s all of this?”

“We wanted to throw you a birthday party. Since you’ve never talked about your birthday, we weren’t really sure how to decorate your room or what type of cake you like. Honestly, we weren’t even sure if you celebrate your birthday, but we hope you enjoy it!” The manager said.

For a moment, Kirr was silent. “A party for my birth? Why is that necessary?”

The manager spoke. “Because that’s the day you were brought into the world. If that day didn’t exist, we wouldn’t have you. So that day is extremely special because it’s your day.”

He wasn’t sure how to process everything. Kirr had never celebrated his birthday before because he was too busy trying to keep himself and his brother alive. He never paid much attention to such trivial matters. Every day he’d wake up with the focus of scouring for food, protecting his brother from traps, and making sure that they had a place to live. There were small gems throughout those times, but his birthday was not one of them. His birthday was like any other day, blurring with all the other days in the year into one massive fight for survival. 

But that didn’t matter now that he was dead. It felt strange, but he was in a stable position. He did not have to worry about death lurking at every corner. He had a new family that had his back through his toughest times and a wonderful manager who guided him through his trials. Never would he have imagined that he’d be standing with these people, celebrating something as silly as his birthday. Yet a surge of warmth spread from his chest to his fingertips, twisting his lips into a small smile.

“Thank you. I never had the chance to celebrate such a holiday when I was alive, so I really appreciate it.”

“Brother Kirr, you have to try the cake! Brother Nine made it, so it’s going to taste amazing!In fact, you should have the biggest slice!” Day shouted, grabbing the knife next to the cake.

“Wait! Let him blow out the fires on the candles!” The manager said.

“Fire? Where’s the fire? We need to put it out!” Kirr’s body tensed as he searched for scorching flames.

“No, not that type of fire. Look here.” The manager pointed to the small flames sitting on top of the birthday candles. “It’s a custom to make a silent wish and blow out these small flames on the candle. It’s supposed to make your wish come true.” 

Kirr stepped closer to the cake, inspecting the tiny flames. “So does this mean I don’t need to fill up my kaleidoscope?”

The manager laughed. “Unfortunately, no. Making a wish doesn’t actually guarantee that it will come true, but it's a nice little superstition. Make sure you keep your wish to yourself though, or else it definitely won’t come true.”

Kirr stared back at the candles. While there was no guarantee that his wish could come true, it wouldn’t hurt to try (according to the manager). Filling up his kaleidoscope would take some time and there was no guarantee that he’d fulfill his wish the way that he wanted, but this small superstition was better than nothing. So with his wish in mind, Kirr closed his eyes and blew out the candles. 

“Alright! Now it’s time for cake!” Atachi pumped a fist in the air and took the knife.

“Let me do it.” Nine took the knife from him, cutting a slice of cake for Kirr. “Have a taste. The manager said you enjoyed the energy that came from chocolate, so I tried making a chocolate marble cake.”

Kirr took the plate of cake and stuffed the entire thing in his mouth. He recognized that familiar over-the-top sweetness from the chocolate that the manager had gifted him from his earlier days in the afterlife, but there were different variations. But the thick, creamy, decorative glaze at the top of the cake was the best part. It was still too sweet, but he never tasted something with such a creamy texture. He could feel the energy coursing through his veins. 

“What’s this pretty, creamy thing on the top of the cake?” He asked.

“You mean frosting?” Nine responded.

“Yes. Frosting. For my next birthday, I would like to have an entire cake made of frosting.”

“Just frosting? That’s gross and way too much sugar!” The manager shook her head.

“I agree. It’s too sweet, but I like the feeling in my mouth. Maybe adding salt would make it better? I would like to try it for the celebration of my death day since my next birthday is rather far away.”

Everyone stared at him before erupting into laughter. 

Kirr blinked. What was so funny?

“We don’t celebrate death days because we don’t know when we will day. Remember, this is a celebration that was started  while you are alive. Although, that would be an interesting idea….” The manager trailed off.

“Ah, I see. But I would still like that salted frosting for my death day.” Kirr said.

The group erupted in another fit of giggles, leading to a night of laughter and new beginnings.

Can I get headcanons for Kirr, Noah, and Ghilley with an MC who has the biggest resting bitch face? Like they look like they're about to fight someone. But they're actually really nice? Sorry of it's a little specific, but I love your work

Ghilley: 

He thinks it’s hilarious, especially when he pokes and prods at your cheeks asking why you looked so gloomy when he knew the answer to that. Even when you swat his hands away he laughs it off while telling you your resting face is quite cute even if others found it to be scary, pinching your cheeks and explaining it’s the face he fell in love with. When you go to question him on that statement further he makes a run for it, refusing to give you more no matter how much you glare at him. 

Kirr: 

Kirr has also been told he has a rather serious face and he is a pretty serious person, but thinks it’s insulting that people are judging someone as kind of you just based off your resting face. He’s quick to defend you if he hears someone speaking ill of your face, stating you’re quite kind-hearted and that you deserve more respect than people who don’t know you speaking about you as if you do. You tell him it’s no big deal as once people talk to you they get it’s a misunderstanding but Kirr insists he knew you were a good person from the moment he met you, the other people simply allowing their biases to take over. 

Noah: 

Noah doesn’t think much of it as your resting face had never unsettled or deterred him even before he knew you. He knew Kati used to question why the two of you were friends when you always looked so ‘miserable’ around Noah but once it was explained, Kati started to grow more comfortable being around you, too. You both had faces that didn’t always match how you felt and he could understand how annoying it was for people to assume things about you when they didn’t actually know you. If you grew upset by such judgments he’d try to help you brush it off, explaining that your face looks just fine to him.

Drunk Youseff, Kirr, and Noah headcanons please! Thanks!

Sorry if this is not accurate or ooc, since I've never seen anyone get drunk (forget drinking it lol). I'm going what I've read and watching in movies lol.

📚 Youssef enjoys a good drink from time to time. I doubt he drank often (since he was constantly working on his cases), but he'd drink whenever he won a case and someone invited him to bar for a celebration. Although he enjoys fancier alcohol (champagne and wine), a good vodka can work wonders. He has a has a medium alcohol tolerance. Given his height, it does take a little bit more booze to get him wasted.

📚 Nevertheless, when he does get wasted, there's not much of a difference. Out of everyone in this request, drunk Youssef is most like his regular self. The only difference is that he's got a lot less energy. Yes, I imagine that Youssef is a sleepy drunk. By default, his eyes are halfway closed. He sits and watches everyone else in the bar, toying with the empty shot glass in his hand. There's not a lot for him to say-- a chuckle or two whenever someone does a stupid party trick. It's almost melancholic, but Youssef isn't sad. He's just more subdued, the craziness unfold before him. Maybe he'll join if someone persuades him, but he's fine on his own.

📚 He's a bit of a romantic! Youssef is likely to confess his love to someone, pulling together an eloquent speech that could move anyone's heart. However, it's difficult to tell whether his flushed cheeks are from the alcohol or whether it's from his feelings. It dosen't help that his soft smile is more beautiful than the moonlight that reflects against his hair. And the dreamy look in his eyes is enough to make anyone fall into his arms. But it's not him being flirty or anything, it's just his true feelings poking through-- the ones that he's unsure of when he's sober.

📚 It's the best time for him to write poetry or record a stream of consciousness. The world is so much easier to describe when he strips away the logic and complexities behind it. Sometimes it's something sweet about the manager. Other times he's expressing his regret for the things he couldn't do in his life. Nevertheless, he usually writing his thoughts on a napkin or his arm. While it's probably going to be lost in the trash or smudged away, it's definitely worth the read.

🏹 Kirr didn't drink a lot of alcohol while he was alive. He didn't like the idea of not being control of his actions, which would give his enemies the perfect opening to attack him. Besides, alcohol was a great disinfectant-- he used it whenever he and his brother had gotten larger wounds. However, the Otherworld doesn't have such threats, so he doesn't object when he's invited for a drink (but he's still on edge).

🏹 Now hear me out. It would make sense for Kirr to stay the exact same (or even more defensive), but imagine Kirr as a soft drunk! There's something about the buzz of alcohol that makes his cheeks warm, allowing himself to become more vulnerable. He was safe from the snow and bloodshed-- he was safe from death. His harsh stares straight face are replaced with cute giggles and large grins. Everyone is shocked by the sudden change, but no one is really mad about. After all, when was the last time you saw Kirr sing like a schoolgirl?

🏹 He triples his intake of sweets. Somehow, chocolate tastes good now that his brain couldn't how sweet it was. In fact, it was so good that he'd like to order an extra large chocolate milkshake with chocolate sauce and chocolate whipped cream. Make sure to have chocolate chips as the topping, or he might actually jump behind the counter and take them himself.

🏹 He's a big hugger! It might be the fact that Kirr has such difficulty expressing his feelings towards everyone, but alcohol gives him that extra kick to put his affection out there. He often goes for surprise bear hugs, which initially scares everyone because they think he's choking them. But when they see his cheesy grin and the melodic tune in his voice, they can't help but wish that Kirr was always this friendly.

📸 Noah is an occasional drinker. While he doesn't go out of his way to grab a beer, having a drink with his friends is a nice way to hang out. Besides, he can drink quite a bit before getting drunk. In fact, June saw him take 10 shots and be completely normal. How does he have such a high tolerance? No one's really sure, but it's another quality on everyone's "Why Noah is Amazing" list.

📸 But maybe it's for the better that he doesn't get drunk. In fact, Noah often avoids being completely wasted-- with good reason. You know how Noah has two sides? The "sweet boy" side and the "I'm going to butcher you with a cheese stick" side? Well, when Noah gets drunk, he's a lot more likely to be on the second side. He's a lot more gutsy and rude-- probably just letting out all the steam from his mind. After all, he's always wanted to tell Kati to buzz off, so here's his chance.

📸 Noah doesn't have to worry about being invisible when he's wasted. He's much louder and has no problem with making backhanded comments. It's nothing new, it's just stuff that he bottles up when he's sober. His tongue is a lot more free, but so are his fists. However, he's not proud of it and tries his best to stay self-aware (which is difficult when your mind had gone hayware).

📸 Has probably gotten into a few brawls while drunk. He's definitely going to throw hands if someone calls him a boot-licker or insults him based on his past. There's a 80% chance that he wins the brawl (and looks hella awesome doing it), but there's a 100% chance that he's going to be cause some damage and be kicked out, so Noah needs to have a drinking babysitter buddy if he's planning to get drunk.
