i cannot find my fucking christmas calico critters anywhere kicking screaming raging punching biting
#i bought them last year right after christmas bc they were on sale at my job and told myself i wouldn’t open them until next year#and i hid them away so well i can’t find them :(#and tbh i didn’t actually store them away until june. before then they had just been sitting in my closet in a giant xmas bag#lowkey afraid i might’ve thrown them away

just wrapped the first christmas present of the year ❤️
#for my friend who hates presents of course 😂#its the stupid teddy bear onesie he has magically instantly putgrown BOTH the previous times i got him one it fit him for like a week 😤#so i got it in the next two sizes up and that's that!!!!#babies grow so fast wtf never buy clothes as a present for a baby that's all i can say#but i can't accept defeat so here we go#his mom will appreciate it even tho she doesn't like getting presents tho lol#and its insane to give christmas presents before thanksgiving but for all i know this baby is gonna outgrow them both by then#i literally bought the size 9-12 months like last month#i ordered it immediately after his mom told me she THOUGHT HE WOULD BE IN THAT SIZE SOON#and it was already too toght on him when it arrived a week later 😭#so now i got size 12-18 and size 18-24 this baby's gonna be cozy this winter or else!!!#i cannot afford this btw#the original onesie was pretty cheap it was o. sale for like $17 but then i bought it twice#and the size maxed out at 9-12 months#so i had to upgrade to a toddler one and it was $22 and i got two of them again plus shipping#and i only make 14 dollars an hour and i'm lucky to work even two days a week at my new job lol#im putting off getting a second job until after i cover a coworkers maternity keave in feb tho bc then i def would be full time#for at least 6 weeks#and its possible she might decide not to come back or another aide would leave by then#so i might have an opportunity to be full time by then ir at least close to that#anyway#no money november fr 😔#just realized my tags are confusing my friend is the mom not the baby 😂#she's the one who gates receiving gifts bc she feels awkward lol#but she's broke af and can't afford clothes for her baby let alone cute ones and she loved the onesie when she fot it at her baby shower#but then the baby came a week and a half late#he was supposed to be a march baby he was born in april#and all of a sudden it was too warm for the onesie and he inly got to wear it once#so i was like ok i will get another one in the fall/winter then#but alas

i was thinking abt it the other day bc shops are putting out christmas decorations way too early
when i was about fourteen or something? for christmas someone gave me a children's picture book about a picky eater who learns to try new stuff. like aimed at 5 year olds type of thing. i was confused about why they chose to give that to me but i was genuinely happy with it? like i thought it was a cute book i kept it on my bookshelf and read it a couple times
took about Four Years give or take to realize i was being made fun of. i am a picky eater. the book was aimed directly at me and i just thought of it as a genuine gift.

#so here's the context for this#i'm getting a tattoo on my birthday since one of the local artists is having a flash sale that i like#two days after that we're taking my younger sister out of state for this band thing she's doing#for christmas i got a ticket to go skydiving and i haven't used it yet bc it's just now getting warm and i've been busy#the skydiving place is somewhat near where we need to drop my sister off so we're going to knock out both things the same weekend#but it means i'll be jumping out of a plane with a two-days-old tattoo#(google was unhelpful btw but i'm planning to wrap it in plastic and wear long pants over it so it should be fine)

kohane passed away earlier last week and while I've had time to think and grieve I'm still sad... she was over 2 and has been kinda wobbly on her feet lately.. so not surprised but again I'm very sad abt it. I've been checked rehoming sites and I haven't found any hamsters listed so sadly I'm gonna have to go Christmas hamsterless.. which is ok ig but one of my gifts was a new 6 chamber hide for her and im sad she never got to see it... im positive my future hamster will be glad to have it but again kind of bitter sweet... I miss u so much kohane u were such a good little hamster.. 💔

It's infuriating when something's happening and you#can't do anything to help or change the outcome or fix it. It's just there and happening and you have to watch and do nothing even knowing#where it's potentially going. And the worst part is‚ it can look like it's getting better and things can look promising‚ and in a span of#days it's all downhill. And I did not expect one of my stupid little distractions to punch me in the face with my reality‚ but here we are.#Our roof is finally fixed though‚ so there's that. It rained for two days and the rain stayed outside instead of coming in. It's been a#good number of years since that was the case. I learned how to make a custard pie last month. The spiral ham I like is on a good sale and#I'm getting one for Christmas. I gave in and spent $150 on UGG men's boots because the ones I had to buy to be in a wedding party five#years ago impressed me but were women's boots. They're super warm. I found a Christmas card that was the leg lamp from A Christmas Story to#send to a friend. Someone gave my housemate Wawa gift cards and now we're fully stocked on free egg nog. A rep at work brought me a little#holiday bag at work with a 'champagne' bottle of french vanilla hot chocolate mix and some nice candy. There's a squirrel who's gotten#spoiled by getting peanuts and now he hangs outside my second-story window on the tree and barks at me to demand more. Rent is going down#in my city of choice and hopefully things go well to move out of this city by the end of next year. Humans are going back to the moon. The#Webb Telescope has been showing us things at the edge of the galaxy I never thought I'd see. Otters and bats and owls and cats exist.#Humans have achieved net positive nuclear fusion...we made a star in a bottle. It's too early to be up right now on a Saturday.

#here's the thing. i think if they have been working on a new pmd they probably won't be announcing it until maybe next february#rtdx came out spring 2020 and to me it felt very much like a ''testing the waters'' type game#best case scenario they looked at the sales numbers and decided it'd be worth it to make another game#in that case they'd wait until after the christmas sales. which means development would have really started to get serious in january 2021#giving us ~2.5 yrs dev time. and at this point i genuinely trust spike chunsoft not to rush games as badly as tpc#i do know they rush games though. i played drv3. but drv3 was not as badly rushed as scvi#so basically i think. if we're gonna get a new pmd it's more likely itll get announced later (and i would prefer that)#every video game ever should get delayed i think#op
