man .. this art, feels so nostalgic seeing fusion depicted with this much fidelity
#DATAFILE //: OOC—001.#two things:#1) samus' suit in the first two caps seems directly inspired by the art from the super metroid manual where we see just how#samus fits herself inside her armour#the one that also details her height & weight#you know the one#but the SA-X itself seems more prime oriented#& here we come to 2)#i think the glowing white eyes beneath the visor in fusion is more appropriate for the SA-X then having visible human features#after all it did copy the suit rather than samus herself#also never been a fan of the tuft of hair streaking down above her eye level#which was introduced in other m#but that's just nitpicking#there's two other visuals flashing here that show samus being infected & her waking up in the fusion suit but they've already shown those#it /is/ rather fanservice-y i suppose but it does also make sense to recap the events of fusion since it's been like 20 years#so this is a win-win#hot take the prime suit design is the best one#with samus returns being a close second#other m really missed the mark by making it very shiny & smooth#there's a necessary balance between alien & ancient when it comes to the chozo suit that they really didn't hit#but i could shit on other m all day
