Rough day today trying to walk after yesterday's leg session. Did an easy 4K after getting in 10K steps with @chefstephanierenee out and about in the Dubai heat. Now time to foam roll and hydrate with some 🍉 and pleaty of water. @Regrann from @noirvegan_runner - Put in some work tonight at the oval office for with Skechers Running Club. The team took the top three spots in the men's 5000. I ran a strong 19:56 in the men's V45 race. Not bad for my first race in over a year. Also got a suprize today from #skechersmiddleeast, a new pair of Go Run 4's for the race. Next week we have the 3000. After two great days of rest, I was back on the roads tonight for an easy 7K. Humidity was not so bad tonight making it a little more enjoyable. Really need to begin doing some speed work, and hit the strength training. These two items have been missing from my training routine. They will be added into the plan each week going forward. Tonights 10K is brought to you by Life Fitness treadmills. When the weather is hotter than an oven, and you still need to run, the treadmill is your friend. Got in a fast 10K tonight. Legs felt a little sluggish after last nights run, but was happy with my splits. Getting back to my preinjury training paces. Now I am ready for a good nights sleep 😴. Might try a little speed work tomorrow. Treadmill running. Either your love it or you hate it. I actually love it. Got in my longest run in awhile tonight, 7.5K. Not trying to push it to much, trying to ease back into the miles. It amazing how much easier it is to run, when your not fighting the elements. I think the treadmill will be my good friend for the next few days. It's always good to change up your training a little. For some reason, I always seem to run harder after a long bike ride, and my legs feel stronger. Oh what a great night to be back out on the roads. Got in a total of 14K tonight. Got a cramp in my hamstring at 6K and had to slow down to stretch it out. Start back a little slower, but finished strong. Now time to rehydrate, foam roll, and get some rest. This crazy Dubai spring weather. One minute it is sunny with blue skies, the next minute there is a sand storm blowing in. Had to get my run in on the treadmill tonight. Trying out another vegan product we picked up at #gulfoods last week. @nutristrength makes a vegan pea protein powder. Tried the vanilla flavor in my kale berry banana smoothie this morning.
