i'm actually not a huge fan of dctv except for powerless (big F for powerless) but i want to believe that stargirl is going to feel more like a comic than an attempt at making comic heroes super ~edgy....... the shazam! film for example was so Ideal for a live action adaptation to me lmao

i haven't touched dc comics since the new 52 was a thing but i'm p stoked that an actor i like gets to play syl, even if they've definitely changed his origins and backstory and everything lol

they shouldnt have put it on fox network. i knew it was going to be cancelled, and im overly angered about that. kasim and reeves have already started 2 new projects, so i dont think theyre investing in it anymore :(

my main issue with that is when they put it on fox + plus a streaming network but never count the streams then wonder why they have low tv viewings.

how do u feel abt the ppl making comments about titans needing to be cancelled instead of swamp thing? bc im rly tired of the hate (esp when it comes to production quality knowing how long it took geoff johns n akiva goldsman to get the show on air n just having a hunch that s1 wouldnt be the best quality compared to s2, though i liked it. anyway, im just rly tired of the comments & it's an overwhelmingly common sentiment. i love titans & swamp thing the most out of dcu originals too like wtf

I wasn’t aware people were saying that, but I’m not surprised.

I think it’s quite ridiculous to pit the two shows against each other, especially since it’s really easy for them to simply not watch the show they don’t prefer…but you know…going all in on hating a movie or show that’s not hurting anyone is what people consider a personality trait these days.

hey i just wanted to ask if you've seen one day at a time season 3? penelope, the mother, goes through a very tensive experience irt romance (what with her mother pushing it in the name of tradition) and she comes to a revelation that she doesnt need a romantic partner and that she's whole by herself and happy with her friends and family. if u havent seen the show, its on netflix, but i wanted to tell u cause ur a latine aro and maybe this could reach you like it did me (+)

I’ve literally never heard of this show before today and have genuinely not the slightest concept of what it’s about, but sounds cool. It’s really good to hear about women in TV learning to value themselves without romance, and even more so for latinas. I hope it’ll help people learn that lesson for themselves

(unrelated or semi-related, but i did not know he kept his middle name secret/personal. that explains a few things. i don't follow ryan like that to know everything about him. i just saw his twitter name and assumed the public knew.). anyway, im kinda sad that ryan confirmed the show will film season two in toronto cause i really wanted them to film in atlanta and use the same production team as doom patrol.

It is sad that it needs to be said but it’s one of those things that people get curious about and I understand being curious. BUT, he said in his “A Book Of” interview that his middle name and his “uninherited” last name are both Japanese and he keeps them to himself (which is all he has really said about them so it’s definitely for personal reasons) I’m annoyed that they changed the ending to season one and cut some episodes because the finale is honestly a tad disappointing (although it was still good.) I haven’t kept up with Doom Patrol news (I really should pay more attention to the news for it since i’m excited to watch it next year) so I wasn’t even aware they were filming in Georgia but it sucks they aren’t filming near Titans, i wanted some cameos.

this is what the all american tag look like ������ white people are so annoying i cant, they will deliberately look over the leads of color and only prioritize the whites, regardless if theyre terrible characters or not

whenever a show is majority poc it gives white fans incentive to ignore them for some reason. they just dont care. worst of all is that most of the feartwd fandom isn’t even the original fandom—they’re from the 100 fandom because of alycia debnam-carey. they understand the pain behind having a gay white girl w/ a fake bindi killed off but it’s crickets for the characters of color that were offed left and right on fear. they also had their beloved, native american-murdering, white supremacist, and were so furious when he got killed off, but he’s returning in s5 because he was a “fan favorite”. that’s part of the reason why i have issues with majority white fandoms because so many of them are toxic and their demands dont go unnoticed. so meanwhile we could have been given back Diana or Taqa, nOPE, they settled for the racist. so, they can all go to hell.
